add mine to the others that my sleeping Yvonne head was also with another order and she totally surprised me and I"m so thrillled.

 

Been busy but checking this thread occasionally and my thoughts basically mirror y'alls. Totally fine to retire sculpts but why the rush? Was thinking of making Jude my first boy BJD but with the rush and waiting on two dolls with them already I decided not to go for it.

 

@luluna @JinCIncy @Bren big WOW on all your gorgeous sleeping beauties I can’t get my eyes off from them, just can’t wait any longer for mine to be arrived…but she is blank and I have to send her off the faceup too… well i told myself that I can at least stare at yours till she is finished

 

Thanks Khlovera. I'm very pleased with her and she's so very different from my other Yvonnes. It isn't the usual type of face up I would have normally gone with, but I love how it turned out. Are you having her done similar to this ones, or a much different look. Just curious.

@Bren first, your Yvonne is so impressive ❤️ I love realistic sculpt in the darker skin. Is she in Amber beige skin? But her Iple body seems to be in light brown, I always thought that Amber beige is close to Real skin from Iple but has a bronze or yellow undertone? Correct me if Im wrong lol
Regarding my sleeping Yvonne, well I do really really like her promo photo with the light faceup done by Barbiefinger, it’s so calming and pure but I decide to do a resin match for mine SJ Peach cream or Iple RS with an accentuate and strong faceup. I’m thinking of a pair of painted wings in white or silver on the corner of her eyes please don’t laugh at my nowhere and hyper flexible idea hahaha

 

Thank you. She was a OOAK face up by SartoriaJ when they did the final sales of their left over original Heads when they sold the Joker and Harlequin faced up as well. I was thrilled that I was able to get her.

Amber Beige Skin? Yes she is, but is actually the original Amber Beige color before they changed their shades. And the Iple body is actually real skin, I'm trying to remember if it's the one with french resin or not, ( I think it was ) which makes the color darker. Hard to keep track sometimes, when doll are borrowing bodies. And yes, you are correct that Iple RS tends to be more olive tone in color.

I wouldn't laugh. It sound intriguing and I would love to see your idea flesh out in the resin. I do like at times Strong face ups. My other Yvonne has the Egyptian face up.

I really like their newer Peach Cream color. I find it perfect for my elves.

 

@Bren Thanks for the additional informations Your Yvonne is so beautiful and I would like to see one day your other Yvonne with that stunning Egpytian faceup.

I would mostly show the head size comparison here, not the color lol as I used phone cam and the lightning was bad in the basement where I took this pic.

Left: Yvonne from the original head release (~2019), in old amber beige skintone, she wears 8-9 inch wig
Right: Sleeping Yvonne head from 2021 Christmas event, in new warm ivory skin.

I didn't try her with a wig on, but it's clear that her (sleeping Yvonne) head size is smaller compare to the original head.

From the sketches she showed on Instagram, looks like she's taking inspiration from the Commedia dell'Arte and Harlequin. Can't wait to see the new guy

 

DollZone attempted a tarot series too, and much like SoulDoll, never completed it.
I'm super curious to see how the new guy turns out!
