At least floating heads take a lot less space to keep. I've got five headless bodies including the two that are on their way to me, and if SJ would sell heads only or even do a 2 for 1 free choice head event like Iple now, I could do a lot of problem solving over here. Lol.

On another note, SJ seem to be releasing a new doll named Agnes in MSD but not SD. This probably means that a SD Agnes might be released later on as a part of their Tarot series, maybe also with the new body...?

Guys, I aksed Sartoria about MSD Juliete and yes she will be available from 15th of July.

So yes, MSD Juliet will be on new body. However, if someone is looking for Elf Juliet, they will be only in SD.

I wonder how Agnes will look like! So far their girls all look so stunning!

 

6-8 months in total? Seriously?? I thought that has been an exception due to their production line difficulties. Now that´s a real drawback.

 

My assumption is that their massive discontinuation of a lot of dolls which presumably involved a lot of people making orders tripped over the tail end of the production line difficulties.

 

I have to admit to being in a slight muddle keeping straight what is offered and with what options...

Six months is like my personal threshold for waiting, I'm sort of "used" to it and anything faster is great! When it start pushing towards 8 months plus it's a little more annoying (I'm on month 7 now for my order with SJ.) I was thinking of ordering Elf Adrian, assuming I like him, in this new color on the Zeus body, but the fact that I won't see him until likely next spring is a major bummer and gives me pause...

@Onkani, oh. I'm a little disappointed. I guess I read it wrong for I thought Elf Juliet was going to be coming out in MSD as well and now I see it's only Juliet. Bummer.

I thought that as well, but I guess now it's the norm? bummer. I don't like long waits. Especially if you are doing layaway for a long while and then does that add to that time? yikes. I hope not, but who knows.

As for waiting time Jay told me that there was a production line difficulty, so they hired new workers and trained them, but it took longer then they thought and that's the reason why everything is delayed. SJ now simply confirms that waiting times are 6-8 months, which is the same waiting if you put your doll on a 6 month layaway or pay for it directly at once. I was sort of hoping their production line will be faster since Russian market dropped out, but... oh well, I guess now 8 months of waiting is a normal thing.

Totally agree! It's worth of waiting if you are sure in your desire of a sculpt and you know you will not change your mind during this time. For me Sartoria today is the only company that releases sculpts I was waiting to see for ages (I'm in this hobby since 2010) so I'm OK to wait, I know I won't change my mind. Also, it's the thirst time when I like company face ups .

No, doesn't matter of you lay away or you pay at once, you are waiting for the same time 6-8 months. It was always like that - my friends who were ordering from SJ were saying that people who had their dolls on 6 months layaway and them who paid fully were getting their dolls at one and the same time.

 

I don't think I'll change my mind about my Eleanor, but I'm a little sad that a new body has come out in the time since I ordered, and I'm wondering if it would suit the character better. She's supposed to be a warrior queen, after all.

I have heard that SJ starts production on layaway dolls after two payments clear, so that it ends up being around the same wait time.

 

No Vittoria shipping notice yet, even if I got told beginning of July. Well, it's okay, I would only had hoped she would arrive before I start a new job in August, so I would have time to make her a wig and a faceup.

Meanwhile, I did take a really nice phone picture of Fog Gray Sarah while just randomly fitting all my wigs on her. Iple EID lingerie works like a dream on SJ's body.

@Amadiel Thank you! She has a faceup by Paulianne, though my phone camera photographs faces in a very detail-less way, sadly.

@vauhtikatti I'm really wishing I'd snagged a fog gray girl, every owner pic I've seen has been amazing! I love that wig on her.

So does SJ send out emails when they ship, then? I'm supposed to be late July, but if you haven't gotten yours yet, that doesn't bode well for me...

 

I got told mid-july and haven't heard a peep either lol
