Beautiful gal and lovely photo @luluna ! Do you like the 59 body well?

I have a 71ATH dude to share having finally finished his uniform. He’s
the Demian sculpt and is being my Lt. Tom Pullings from Master and
Commander (and the 21 books).
Also in the photo is my Iplehouse EID Luo as Captain Jack Aubrey
and Feeple65 Rick as Dr. Stephen Maturin (with his pet sloth (etsy))
I made all the clothing, bicorne hats, and Pullings’ sword scabbard.
I need to find a better backdrop tho…

@Robyn_in_WA Those are awesome outfits! What did you use to make the sword scabbard?

 

Thanks @Ashemanu ! Hope to get the final dress uniform coat done to complete the set.

Thanks so much @nancy_schroeder_ca !! I taped thin, stiff cardboard over the older
sword, wrapped with sports tape, and then put LOTS of layers of a stiff ModPodge over
the works. It took several months to finish the job - what with curing of the ModPodge.
Then adding hangers and painting. I’d tried using Apoxie Sculpt the first time, but it
ended up disappointingly too thick…

 

@luluna Thanks for sharing your photo of your Teen Clair, she looks so dainty in her dress!

@Robyn_in_WA Wow all your boys are so handsome and look so great! I'm so impressed with how crisp the jackets and hats look! I need to learn how to make doll hats to go with an 1870s walking dress I'm making, I'm so impressed with yours!

 

@Robyn_in_WA - Thank you! I do love the 59 body! And your Naval outfits are amazing! The jackets with the gold buttons are just jaw dropping wonderful. I love every part though. You Luo is so handsome.

Thanks so much @Wittyilynamed !! The coat fabric is poly-wool challis and has lightweight
interfacing on all the exterior fabric (lined with silkessence and cotton batiste).
The hats were a result of a book I bought - “From the Neck An Illustrated Guide to Hatmaking”
Tons of details and patterns too - I got the spiral bound version.

Thanks so much @luluna !! It took a while to find the right size gold metal buttons! They add
some nice weight to the coats too. All those teeny buttonholes…. I was SO lucky to have
Lyn paint my Luo - he’s my absolute favorite male doll.
I’d looked with great interest at the 59 body - and one day may opt for one of them! Pretty hands too!

 

@Robyn_in_WA - I like the 59 doll hands way better than the other hands SJ has...

 

That monthly gal, Maya, is so gorgeous - I wish she were offered on the 59 body.
I am one of the people who still likes a bit larger head on a doll…

Would anyone have any owner photos of Natalie, specifically of her side profile? She's coming to the Valentine's event and I think she may be the perfect other half to my Malena

 

Hm do any of the Maya owners possibly have pictures of her with smaller eyes in, like a 5mm iris? @susieagent99 and @LyanneNZ I know you both have gorgeous Maya's, but not sure if you have any smaller eyes! I'm tempted by her but I prefer a smaller iris so I've been trying to see if I could find some photos, since I'm trying to be more mindful of my doll buying this year haha.

 

Damn, this new Valentine collection is so good Natalie is so beautiful, I am not even a fan of Taylor Swift, but I would still get her if I had some extra money.
And Daniel is re-released lol. I really wanted him and asked Sartoriaj to re-release him, with no conclusive answer and eventually just changed my character idea and went for raccoondoll instead. But I still do love Daniel(especially with tarot collection faceup, he looks so lifelike), If anyone gets him post his photos I'll live through you.

 

Let me do that tomorrow. Right now she has the 14mm that I ordered with her last year. I do have 12mm acrylics, and some 11mm glass eyes.
