@JinCIncy Goodness, those cheekbones are incredible! I would love to see this sculpt return.

On another note, Versailles ladies are Grace, Marie, and Vanessa. I can't wait to see them and their dresses!

 

Stella is here! It´s too dark for any pictures, but I guess the most interesting part for all who bought her with blue skin is the actual color, how it really looks. I have to admit I was afraid of some Nightcrawler blue or some such! But the color is plain beautiful. For me it´s more gray than blue, a very dark slightly metallic gray. She can pull off a Dark Elf with no problems! I am very happy right now

 

I have always imagined that X-man Nightcrawler [Kurt] blue would be pretty. And, that X-man Beast [Hank] blue would be disappointing. But, I guess I'm thinking about how it's portrayed in the comic books, not the movies. Wait......WERE you talking about X-men??

My Ian on the 70cm David body arrived. He's lovely and the body is super nice. I can pose his arms and he will also hold them out straight. He has the best abs so far too.

This was a quickie photo...I want to change his eyes and wig a bit still.

Here is now a truly terrible picture of my Stella, but maybe it gives some impression of her. I wasn´t able to get her color right. The darkest tone between her breasts is actually her overall true color. The hair is horrible, the eyes do not look as good as I thought they would (in fact they look horrible, that´s what you get for buying cheap). I was at work the whole day and will leave tomorrow morning for the Easter holidays, so I cannot do any better atm.

It's always a give & take with wigs & eyes when you receive a new doll. I too have something in mind for my Stella (when she arrives) and there's that same possibility I'll be experiencing what you are now but, it's a "game"

@Ashemanu - Thank you! Ian is Peach Cream resin...it is very nice!
Your Stella is wonderful! I find dark resin dolls harder to photograph myself...maybe when you get time try to photograph her in indirect natural light. It might help with the sheen of light bouncing off her.

Eyes...wigs...can make a doll look so different!

When I got Ian and saw his coloring I knew I'd probably have to go to red hair. (But I didn't have a red wig handy at the time...as I thought I'd give him dark brunette or black hair) Since then I just found a red wig that wasn't working for anyone else here and it seems to suit him much better.

@Ashemanu - your Stella looks amazing! I know you're not fond of the wig or eyes, but she still looks great! That resin color looks so good.

I also picked up my Leo from the Post Office this morning. I'm still sorting out my feelings on his wig, but I'm truly captivated by him.

I'm so mad, I wasn't getting notifs on this thread and missed everyone's photos of their beautiful new dolls! @Ashemanu Stella is GORG! It's hard to plan for the skintones until you see it in person. @luluna And Ian has been one of those boys I was tempted by, seeing him smoulder gives me a pang of regret! @Quirked I know the hair may not fit whatever character you have planned, but I kinda love the 50'sgreaser/rock-a-billy look it's giving him!!

I'm struggling with whether I want Vanessa in Sonoran Beige or amber beige haha. After her I think I really am gonna take a break. I may just have to stop checking SJ's site for a few months to avoid FOMO. Unless they ever re-release Derek, still sad I decided to miss him originally.
