I could get one of them but it's sooooo hard to choose! I'll wait for Marina/the mermaid to be shown and then make a decision. And I agree, I wish we could buy the outfits separately!

 

Marina will be on sale either Thursday or Friday Jay said. Cannot wait!

 

I wonder if Marina will be Mermaid only or also have a human version with legs. I will wait for her now since I cannot decide between Ayla and Margot anyway

 

I asked and Marina will be released. in both 1/3 and 1/4 versions.

I both love and don't love that you pointed out that Ayla looks like a sibling sculpt to Tania and Tatiana. Those are two of my all time favorite 1/4 sculpts! Tatiana was my very first BJD.

So of course, I'm smitten with Ayla. I think she'd work for a character of mine, that is not related to my Tatiana and Tania. I'm currently waiting on an Iple doll that I ordered back in June, and didn't want to order another doll so soon. BUT the SJ wait time (at least what I've experienced) would probably space out the arrivals plenty...

 

If only I could afford it, right now, I would probably buy Ayla.

@Chameleon You could always ask Jay on the Q&A. I had asked for my Natalie on the 59 DPN body when it was officially only offered in 61 APH and 64 MTN at the time. Jay created a private listing for me to purchase her that way. Also, now that you mention it, I may do the same since I'll be swapping bodies and Ayla may be a better fit on my older 64 MTN.

 

Good to know that they will do that!! I shouldn’t buy at this time anyway, but if I decide to cave, I’ll be sure to ask them!

 

Yeah, when they offered the midnight blue Stella on the 64, I wrote Jay asking if I could get her on the 59 body (I did) and she made a public listing for her to be able to choose which type body. I guess I wasn't the only one asking for different body types for her.
If I really wanted Margot, I'd rather have her on the 61 body but, I'm not interested in either of the 2 ladies, I'm waiting for that mermaid!

Well SJ, you didn't get any money from me this time. Maybe the next series, or "doll of the month" But, I have a feeling SJ's next promo will be "halloween"

 

Shoot, I really like Marina's sculpt. As much as I was anticipating the mermaid body, I'm not super impressed with the posing. And while posing is not one of my main concerns with dolls (I wouldn't have so many SJ's if it was ) to splurge on a mermaid I would want more posing abilities than I currently see in the tail.

However, it seems SJ is offering the mermaid body by itself, but not Marina with a normal body. So I may not need to choose between her and Margot, it may be Margot by default. haha

 

Ooh I love Marina--the ethereal vibe is amazing! She's exactly how I picture a siren would look and truly the most unique face I've seen from SJ by far!

So... Ayla and 65 ATH here I come!
I hope Halloween this year will snatch my wig just as hard as this event. Mainly, I'd really really love to shop clothes again

 

Marina seems like a rock star and she reminds me a little of Halloween S. Philip.
