The mobility thigh body is traditionally strung with the elastic going from the neck straight to the foot. The stringing for the solid thigh crosses over at the hip. I my experience the standard stringing is better for posing.
She’s very pretty @MB Lilac, such a soft friendly face. I was having a look on the website last night and noticed they’re doing a Valentines event. Mentioned they had a few sculpts they were making available (Daniel was one….I think) and showed sneak peek pictures of the outfits. I’m hoping they rerelease one of the boys I want for this! The gold waistcoat for the boy outfit looks very fetching.
Thank you everyone. I had planned on ordering her some time last year, looking forward to their Summer Event, but then last spring she quietly disappeared off their website. Which was a huge disappointment. But she reappeared for their Holiday Event in November, so I jumped at the chance. I was pleasantly surprised that she arrived only two months later. @MB Lilac Your gallery is the most inspiring thing I've come across in BJD world. You were insanely good when you first began but it still amazes me that you continued to improve and make even more detailed outfits through the years. And your dioramas and photography skills are also nothing to sneeze at I'm looking forward to Natalie's release for the Valentine's event. I know she was previously released in 1/4 so I'm wondering if anyone has owner photos they could share, more specifically photos of her side profile and nose. I quite like her sharp features, but I want to be sure I love her.
The event dolls are up! Four SD, 2 MSD - the MSD ones are Demian (on either male body) and Jenice on the Daphne body. I do love Jenice, but I have very firmly told myself I already have one, and don't need another. Also she's only on the Daphne body by the look of it which I'm not that interested in. Still, both dolls are gorgeous and so are the clothes! Anyone going to get one or the other? I'm still waiting on my vampire Oscar - month 4 now, but they do quote 5-6 months in the sales listing - I do hope he comes home soon!
I am glad I am totally not tempted by the Valentine dolls, Jay chose all the molds I do not really like Lucky me! Although I do have Angela as MSD, but I hardly recognized her in the SD version. I made the suggestion for Nadia as one of the next Dolls of the Month ... but I think she was not very popular back then. Jay told me they would consider her.
That’s a good thought, to go back and see if there’s any dolls you missed out on and suggest them. I asked at the start if Jude might be considered though but the answer was no, unfortunately. But I think it’s intended to highlight the less popular dolls!
I just asked about Luthien in grey skin and they said they don't have plans but will consider it. I really hope she gets a release because I love her so much. If anyone else wants to see Luthien return please ask

@morganatron When the doll of the month started, the newsletter said they would highlight a doll every month starting with the most popular. I would guess because Malena’s limited tarot collection was most purchased, she was the first introduced. This month, the second, is Maya and I think we can all attest to her popularity being the beautiful sculpt that she is. I say, request away, everyone! It will help move your desired dolls higher up the list and the more people requesting the same, the faster they are getting re-released. @aligie82 Your Claire is so pretty and the dress makes her look as delicate as a flower! A perfect debut, thanks for sharing!
@Ashemanu - Thank you. I'm so glad I have Naomi. I always loved her and was disappointed when SJ discontinued her (along with many of my other favourites) @sageyufi - Thank you so much! I really appreciate your comments. I love my SJ and other Fashion size dolls, but I have a LOT of other dolls as well, so they all have to patiently wait their turn.
Oh, I didn't know they release dolls of the months starting with the most popular. It makes sense now that they have many dolls of similar type to Malena and Maya, they are people's favourite. I wonder who is the most popular of their guys, my guess is Jude, I saw the most photos of him online. I am still on my no buy resolution, it is a high chance that Sartoriaj will re-release him soon because of my luck so I can't get him XD
Ah, I thought they meant they would release the LEAST popular ones - the first bit of the announcement talks about being sad some dolls didn't get the attention they deserved - but then the next bit said the most popular would go first! It's a bit confusing, but never mind, it will be interesting to see what is released! Looks like there will be a "new concept" for previous dolls, with them styled in a different way to their first release, so that will be very interesting to see! I also feel like Jude is the most popular! Sadly, they already said they won't be rereleasing him as a Doll of the Month. I'm not sure who to hope for really - mostly I just wanted Jude!!! Mind you, I did quite like Joey, if they release her in MSD size I might be tempted - she was only SD in the past.
