poochiness, your girl is unbelievably adorable...and she looks so cute in that outfit!

And big excitement here, folks! I received my email for Mizi's EMS shipping today! And even bigger news is she has already arrived and is waiting for me to pick her up at the post office tomorrow!!! (I was out this morning and missed their attempted delivery.) I'm so thrilled to be getting this amazing head and I can't wait to start working on her! Of course I still need to order her a body...I wanted to actually have the head in my hands to check the fit and color against other dolls I have on hand before actually committing to an order. But I plan to start on her faceup soon. And another great thing is that the group order for her special Mako eyes has also just arrived, so the group leader will be shipping those out to us very soon as well. And I already have the wig I ordered for her, so it's all coming together!

 

Oh... that makes me a little worried about my order... @_@ what if I didn't get their tracking email and can't check!!! Can't wait to see your Mizi, by the way!! Please post pictures when you get her @PoeticSoul !!!

I actually got a shipping notice for Yabi today too! He should be here tomorrow. I can't even put my excitement into words! xDD

xD I totally got overly excited and checked my email right away, but alas, nothing for me yet. I did order my Yabi like a week later so that doesn't surprise me but still asdfghjkl so excited!! Hopefully it shouldn't be long now~ I won't even have a body that she can borrow yet let alone one of her own but ack, I can't help but be so hyped! I've wanted this sculpt forever and have not had this character as a doll for so long I'm just dying to see her and finally have her character home again! 33

I finally figured out my girl's name while writing about her just recently and everything's falling in place almost too perfectly since the dolls she's a close companion to are expected to be completed as soon as some odds and ends that are actually on shipping right now make it home... and with it came the fright of whether or not I'm expecting too much of her xD;;; But I'm sure we'll figure it out somehow. I just hope the person I'm commissioning to make her eyes makes haste so she can have her proper eyes soon as well! ;v;

Étude on his intended body today. x'D And the match is actually really close! He's on a Soom Thera body from their latest FCS.. so I don't know how accurate the match would be if you wanted to just get a regular Soom body (as they have been changing their WS quite often orz'') but I think I got lucky! I still of course need to find his right wig and eyes..and clothes. orz''' But I love him so much. ;v;

 

Guys, I am worried I might not be able to resist any longer. Your photos are awesome and I've fallen in love with Yabi head when I first saw the news post. Now I came across their page again and the second I saw that face again I had a character and stuff in mind *sigh*

what do you think, would a MNF body work?

 

@poochiness =D Etude is sooo cute! That body officially has my favorite hooves ever. Good to know the new white skin matches Soom too :3 just in case we need it.

@Lythtis A minifee body would probably be wayyyyy too small in my opinion. Yabi's head isn't exactly small but then again some people like the bobble-headed aesthetic? I can take a comparison of his head on my moe-line girl body and/or next my other minifee heads if you like to see what I mean.

Random good news on my end... Mizi is in the country but lounging around the airport/customs waiting to be sent home. And Cal's things should be here either tomorrow or on Monday so I can quit dallying and finally be able to spam more Yabi goodness in this thread...

 

Uuugh, I'm with @Lythtis when it comes to the lovely (and sadly pretty much irresistible) sculpt of Yabi. He's just too cute-looking, it's thanks to him I've been stalking this thread for ages haha
I'm actually rather surprised his head is not small enough for a minifee body? He looks so tiny in the shop photos. Do you think a souldoll body would do, size-wise? Not talking about the resin here since I have no idea what FaJ's resin looks like.
@Soenatte This is probably the worst and simultaneously the best part about waiting for a doll to arrive - knowing they're almost there but not quite yet I'm hoping to see some of your Mizi too!

 

poochiness, Etude looks absolutely adorable on that body. He has the perfect face for that character and what luck that it's such a good match!

As for my Mizi, I thought I'd be looking at a long wait time for a body (after finally choosing one and then getting around to ordering it.) But I stumbled upon a totally gonga deal in the DoA marketplace instead. It was for a male AOD body in their new, lighter pink normal skin. Since my Mizi is a female automaton, I thought this body was androgynous enough to suit the young girl look I had planned for her, given just a tiny surgical mod. The price was certainly utterly amazing and there'd be no long wait time, so I decided to go for it. The head is a perfect fit, neck wise, and the proportions are good, especially for the sturdy robot look I'm going for. And the color is just a hint more pale than the head...it will only need the slightest bit of blushing to be an excellent match. I've almost finished Mizi's faceup, and I'm starting some artwork on the body now to feminize it a bit.

 

@Lythtis Haha, ooh, I say go for it! I'd absolutely love to see some more Yabis around here! uvu

@poochiness, *U* Omggg, Étude is so cuuuute! Aasdfghjkl I just adore that combination! Seriously is there anything cuter than Yabi with Goss/Thera hooves!?! I'm super excited to see how he progresses!

@Soenatte, o: It would be super awesome actually if you were able to take pictures of Yabi on a M-line girl body! That was totally what I planned to have my Yabi on but that was before seeing her in person and realizing her head is bigger than I thought. xD Slightly bobble-headed is kind of what I want for her though. Canonically because she is rather thin, pear shaped, and petite and has a massive head of curls so she naturally has that bobble-head look xDD. I even have her borrowing my Unoa girl body at the moment and its still definitely too big for what I want haha~ TwT Either way, I'm waiting to try her on my Fairyline body when it arrives and see how I like her on that in person before I commit to anything, but it would be even more helpful to see photos of Yabi on the M-line beforehand too!

^U^ Anyways, my Yabi arrived the other day! I wanted to post sooner but i've been super busy~
She's just borrowing this Unoa body at the moment (and the match is not that good irl, I just edited it xD) because I wanted to get a little better idea of how she would look as the character I intended.
I'm conflicted as while I adooooore this sculpt and think it suits her character, Calliope, perfectly on its own, i'm not really sure how I feel about it in comparison to my other dolls/characters who are a part of her story. >_< I'm extremely picky when it comes to how my doll lovers/siblings/friends/etc. look together and I haven't decided if I like the way she looks in comparison to them yet. I think i'll have to wait until she has a faceup and her proper body to really know for certain. I'm crossing my fingers everything works out as I really do absolutely adore her as this sculpt already

@Arkelle I can't believe how beautiful she is!!! *-* her eyes are just so luminous too... wish I knew how to pick eyes as good as you do @^@; ehehe... I hope she fits well with the rest of them in the end... it'll be a little sad if she doesn't work out, especially since she fits her character! And I took them photos... although I couldn't remove the turnkey so the head couldn't fit properly on the neck which created a bunch of issues and resulted in a bunch of horrible photos TTuTT; So, @Lythtis , @fantasteic these are for you as well! That being said, yes, the final stretch of waiting is the worst. I should be receiving both boxes on Monday though so it'll be one epic box opening for sure! (then I'll have so much faceuping to do I'll probably cry...) I shall attempt to remedy the horrible quality of the comparison pictures with a proper photo though... Here's Cal in his regular 'peasant' clothes pulling of some stunts on his body for me... xP;

 

I did it! *__* Not even 5 minutes ago I placed my order for a Yabi head. I would have regrettet not buying the head if it was sold out the next time I check.

@Soenatte , please please do a comparison shoot of a Yabi head next to a MNF body! It would be so helpful for me as I wanted the head to be a fragile girl and smaller than my Soom TG.
& Standing on the back to hooves is so cool! *__*

@Arkelle , in fact it was the photo of your new head on flickr that reminds me of my love-at-first-sight towards this sculpt at a time where I had no intention for more dolls. Your photo is so pretty!

I'm absolutely in love with how your little girl looks by the way.
She is gorgeous! I'm usually not very fond of very bright or neon coloured hair on dolls but yours just looks like she is glowing : D Matches perfectly with her eyes too!
Looking forward to how her face up is going to affect her overall style. I hope she'll go well with your other dollies

@Soenatte Ahh a hooved little Cal! How cute >3< His face up suits him very well though, I'm sure Mizi's will be just as pretty!
