@PoeticSoul I totally understand! ;v; Her character seems very interesting. I'm so happy you got to bring her home! I feel the same way about Yabi. xD Haha, I'm just so happy he's here. It doesn't seem real sometimes!

Soenatte, your short film is truly wonderful. I really enjoyed getting to see your characters in this way, and to read your description about it too. It's a wonderful story coming to life before our very eyes. What fascinating characters you've created for these dolls. Bravo! Applause, applause!

poochiness, you pretty much summed it up when you said it almost doesn't seem real. These dolls are so hard to get, and then poof! Suddenly there they were! And for me, I was so in love with my character, which was written specifically for this head, no other sculpt would possibly do. Murphy seemed to come together so perfectly for me after stumbling upon that body in the marketplace, that it all feels like a dream when I look at her now and realize she's here...she's actually here!

 

Oh nooo I completely forgot to place my order and missed Mizi I still want Yabi, but I've been looking for a 3 eyed MSD for a while... I'll have to either hope it's re-released or stalk the marketplace

 

And I still wait for a shipping notice of my Yabi head. Wished so much it would be more to the 15 days than the 30 days.

And for 3-eyed dolls: you could just have somebody mod a third eye on the forehead. Have seen it been done on a Soom YoSD and was very unique and pretty.

 

Mizi and Yabi are up for preorder again!

 

I'm glad to see them available again! I'm almost tempted to get another Yabi, haha. xD I just sent Etude out for a faceup so hopefully he'll be ready soon. ;v;

 

I want to buy eyes for my Yabi head, but I'm not really sure about the size. Did you guys chose 14 mm size or 16 mm? I know that in the website the size is 14 mm, but sometimes the measurement that they give is strange for some dolls...

 

12mm uvu;;;;;;; and those are slightly on the big size too. You might want to go a size smaller still.

 

I just ordered a Yabi yesterday! I'm so glad they got restocked. I also have a Mizi that is waiting on a DZ body.

 

Thought I dodged this bullet...apparently maybe not...we decided that Doll Leaves definitely matches SC White Skin? I am thinking very hard about Yabi, since I love WS and Elf boys...and let's be honest, this sculpt is pure magical art!

 

Aaaah, 12? really? ahahah perfect, good thing I asked! I was so convinced for the 14 mm -because I was like "Yess, I can switch eyes with my other doll" but, no.

 

@Strawberrysscribbles ahhh! Congrats on your Yabi! Can't wait to see your Mizi either! I bet they're both wonderful!

@Artemos I hear you there... I really want a second Yabi to make into a girl but my wishlist is too long to justify getting duplicates of a sculpt... :'( As for the DS white... the only thing I'm afraid of is Small's batches being a little inconsistent. @Shailara 's Char sp and my Yabi are different shades and they were sent at the same time no less!

The eyes I got for my Mizi on the other hand turned out to be kind of small... I should have gone with 12mm for her normal eyes instead of 10mm for all three... however it did turn out to be a pretty interesting look so I'm sticking with it for now! *v* Wish I had taken photos to show you guys... If I manage to head back home before leaving for Christmas break I'll definitely do that, though!

 

Right at the beginning of the new year I received my Yabi head. But I still have a hard time bonding. The body I intended for my girl arrived at the same time.

This is the Yabihead on a MNF A-line body with small bust. Like others said before it looks pretty bubble headed. But on the other hand, when dressed up in not tight-fitting clothes like on the right side of the photo it does look very cute.

But still, I am not sure. For keeping the Yabi head on the body I will have to mod the neck. Afterwards no MNF heads will fit anymore. phew. hard decision. Unfortunately, I was not as smitten when looking first at my own Yabi head as I was hoping °__°

 

She is adorable, Lythtis! I'm sorry to hear that you aren't bonding with her as you thought. ;o; Hopefully it will be better once she has a faceup?

My Yabi is going to be returning from the faceup artist soon. I'm so excited~

 

My Mizi girl, Murphy, got a new outfit for her steampunk cotillion. I based it on a birdcage crinoline.

 

@PoeticSoul I am so in love with your girl! Her outfit is amazing~ And I can't get enough of her faceup! xD Aah, she's just really amazing and unique. ;v; I'd love to see more of her!

My sweet Etude returned from the faceup artist today and I just. I love him so much!! He is borrowing a wig.. I think I'd prefer him as blond, I'm hoping to find a wig with some slight curl. xD Here he is with my dog, Teddy~

The Yabi head is so cute ! It's a little strange but it make me think of my Cerisedoll Lulu oO" (Mizi and Kaka are really cool ~)
But do you think with some make-up it's possible to make it more mature for a boy ?

 

poochiness, thank you so much! I love my Mizi girl and I'm quite thrilled with how she's turned out and how strongly her character has developed...seemingly all on it's own. These sculpts are pure magic! And speaking of their magic, wow...your boy is gorgeous! What an adorable boy (and cute doggie companion too!) And I heartily agree with you...a blond wig with some curl would look amazing on him with that faceup.

Lehty, while Yabi makes an adorable boy, I believe the sculpt is versatile enough to be whatever you'd want it to be with the right faceup. There's an example of Yabi as a cute girl in this thread as well. It's quite amazing how a faceup changes a doll...with the right amount of imaginative faceup techniques, this company's dolls can be just about anything you'd want them to be.

 

@PoeticSoul Oh, I see ! Aaah I need one even more now ~ Now I should practice or find someone who can make men make-up. *^*
