SC doll *Flower and Junior* discussion part 1

Hello everyone! Please excuse the mess on my desk, I was taking a break from making a wig when I noticed some people wondering about the body!

I took some photos for you! I will say this: If you care about poseability, don't get it. It's a very pretty body, but Small didn't give much thought to poseability (or any for that matter). I suppose some wiring and/or sueding would help a little. I noticed the body can't stay upright, but leans to one side, and I don't think this is fixable with sueding, but I can't be sure, as I haven't tried it.
It is single jointed both in the arms and the legs. The panty-joint (as I like to call it XP) does move to the left and right, not as much forward and back.

The hands can't really rotate, I have to pull them out of the socket to pose them, but they're really cute at least?

The body also can't sit very well, because it keeps the legs too high up, resulting in either leaning way forward which will make it fall, or the way I do is that I balance it on the butt.

@ Shailara AAh, thank you, this is an important info, now I know that it's not for me. There are like no photo on the website with the full body without the little skirt and I didn't know about the hip joints (I really don't like the "pants" form). And even if I like the legs, I'm not too sure about the joints that connect them to the body.
(but I kinda like how the body sit, I find it cute... -and then, is a nono for the fall down thing-)

Hi everybody, i just discovered this company yesterday and fall in love with their head, i just ordered yabi in white and kaka in normal, now i search what is the better boy body to match them, in white and normal? I think doll leaves is a good match for normal skin?

 

@Arkelle I am keeping my fingers crossed for you! She looks really good on the MNF body, too!
I would love to get Etude's hooves blushed but I'm sure as to what colors. ;v;; But it is something I have on my mind~!

Aww, and I'm definitely crossing my fingers for you that you won't be as picky as I am with your own dolls, but knowing the majority of the hobby i'm sure you'll be fine. It definitely is worth the effort to get them right if/when you ever have doubts though.
And I'm super excited to see what your Yabi becomes! I'm so glad there are more and more Yabi owners popping up now, it really is such a precious sculpt that I think could use more attention~

>w< Ohhh, and if you do end up getting Etude a blonde wig I think it would be super cute to blush his hooves in similar blonde, light brown and dusty rose colors! But maybe thats just me. Whatever you go with will be adorable i'm sure

My Mizi head is also the "normal skin", so I'm curious which Doll Chateau skin color to go for. I might still need to get it matched with the faceup though...

I really love her color scheme too~ Can't wait to find/make more orange colored things for her in the future as blue and orange are her signature colors and anything orange is super hard to find in this hobby haha xD

*U* And yeah, I think she'd be just the cutest thing ever on the Moe body! She was always meant to be petite and quite pear shaped so I think it will suit her character much better. I'm thinking I might mod her upper waist to be a tad bit smaller to give that extra bit of curvaceousness if/when I get it hehe~ Ideally I'd like to use the spare F-line cutie bust that I have instead of the big default M-line busts, but i'm not 100% that will work. If it doesn't i'll probably try to swap with someone in the future for a smaller A-line bust. xD Her character shouldn't really be getting away with having anything larger than a b-cup, at least not at this "age" haha~

I think the Moe body would be adorable with her! The hips are definitely shapely. The cutie bust would be adorable too! I think I've heard of people using it on the Moe body and it works well. ;v; I can't wait to see her complete!

^U^ Haha, yeah, I have to give a huge thanks to Soenatte who kindly took some pictures of Yabi with the Moe body and reaffirmed how cute I thought it would look! Getting her own body waaaaas first-ish on my dolly to-get list but now that i'm having so many conflicted feelings regarding her and her trio I think i'll probably put it on the back burner until I figure things out, which is a bummer. :c
xD Though as much as I adore my Minifee Luka, I'm loving Calliope borrowing their body at the moment. As many conflicted feelings I have about her I just can't stop admiring her lovely little self all put together hehe

I think i'll try and take some better pictures of her today as well. I've been feeling hella sick lately and all I want to do is cuddle with my dollies when I should be working //shot

 

Got my Mizi head in the mail today from Soenatte! ^_^ Tried her on the DC centaur body that I have, but I definitely want to get her the other one with neck extensions later. Here is a quick pic of her in some random eyes and wig. The eyewells are funky, so acrylics might work best after all.

 

I'm excited to see your finished girl! I love her eyes, I've been looking for a pair like that!

 

Thanks! She's got a long way to go to be finished, but this was just some stuff I had lying around that fit.
If you mean the heart eyes, these were a pair from a Bratzillas doll actually. haha!

Beansproutmomo, it's always a delight to see another Mizi in the thread! I love the idea of putting her on a Doll Chateau body with the extra joints...that's a brilliant idea!

For size, I tried my Mizi head on my Souldoll NL body and DC body and both seems to fit jsut fine. For resin match though I am not sure.
I was wondering that as well, since I have the "normal skin" Mizi. Mostly curious is DC normal yellow will match enough with a faceup?

 

@Beansproutmomo, I have a Doll Chateau Queena on the body with extra joints if you'd like to see how it looks, proportions wise. I think it looks great actually. The normal pink skin is a pretty good match too. The Mizi head is only ever so slightly darker...but just barely. Just a bit of blushing would do the trick. I've also included a photo of The Mizi headcap with a headcap that is in normal yellow...that, as you can see, is way off. The Doll Chateau normal yellow is much too dark. And keep in mind that as sister companies, Doll Chateau and Dollzone colors are the same...in case anyone was interested in Dollzone bodies.

 

@Beansproutmomo, *U* Ohh congratulations on getting your girl! Sad to know Soe had to part with her Mizi but i'm happy that she has a lovely new owner Can't wait to see her with her new faceup!

And I don't think i'm much help in regards to bodies as mine is currently borrowing a Fairyland Fairyline body and I think most people aren't as keen on the proportions as I am. The resin almost perfectly matches Fairyland's Beautiful White skin with a faceup though. Other companies similar to Fairyland that have a creamy white resin rather than a stark white would probably work well~

^u^ I finally was able to take some better-ish pictures of my Yabi, Calliope, a little while ago and thought i'd share them here too~
She's absolutely gorgeous and everything I wanted her to be and so much more. Its just unfortunate that she's unintentionally made some underlying flaws within my doll family at the forefront of my thoughts and now I can't commit to furthering her character as this sculpt until I sort those things out. I just can't stop admiring her though and am having a hard time giving this body back to my other doll that it belongs to....she's really taken a special place in my heart

@Arkelle thank you! i'm super attached to her already and she's just a blank body-less head lol. your yabi is completely amazing, great job on her! did you make her horn? oh and i was actually thinking of putting my girl on a fairyland moe body too! is there any chance you could show the proportions on your girl?
