I can only confirm the white skin is a good match, and that is info from SCDoll themselves, which means I cannot confirm that in person and can only take their word for it.

@Poetic Soul ahhh! >w< how exciting! I'm really looking forward to your girl ;v; Mine is a bai ze/hakutaku... which is a mythical creature of Chinese and Japanese folklore usually of vast knowledge and many eyes xD; I'm not sure if I'll outright mod her sides to have holes for the extra six eyes she's supposed to have or draw them on. I'll probably go the easy way and just draw them though xP;

 

Soenatte, wow...what a fascinating concept for Mizi! I think we'll be seeing some very interesting characters from anyone who manages to get one since...well...she has 3 eyes. I, for one, can't wait to see the individual interpretations of style for this sculpt.

I was very lucky as it turns out to have fallen in love with my chronicler, seeing as how Flower and Junior has now made her available to us. I do want to organize my BJD collection into a big journal this year, and It will be fun to have a character being in charge of "organizing" all that. Big congratulations on your win and on having your amazing prize shipped! I can't wait to see what you do with Mizi!

Some funds that i've been expecting for a few months now finally arrived and at the perfect time so I'm going to be putting in my order for them in sometime today! AHHH so happy!!! ;w; And i've been thinking about it so much lately and I think my Yabi is actually going to be a girl! I've always sort of interpreted Yabi as a boy in my mind and never thoroughly considered it as a girl but I stumbled upon a picture of one with a gorgeous feminine faceup and she looked so much like a female OC I have and gosh now I just can't unsee the sculpt as being that character asdfghjkl 33 I don't know why I never saw it before! The best part is that the character is one that I already had as a doll a few years ago and I had been searching for a sculpt to re-shell ever since. I'm so happy that not only am I going to get a sculpt that i've always wanted, but I think it'll be perfect for a character that i've been yearning to have back for a long time

As an artist it always makes me so sad to hear whenever something might get in the way of someone getting a doll that really inspires them, especially so when its a friend! *hugs*

I truly think Yabi will make a wonderful girl, and what an added bonus that she will be the perfect reshell of a character you're already attached to. I'm currently facing a similar reshelling dilemma with a character I adore whose original doll form just didn't work out. I'm still working on my reshelling issue but I'm thrilled that you've found a way to resolve yours!

 

Okay I panicked then figured out a way to do it somehow xD; (no seriously, my mind was going over all possible scenarios and then it dawned on me) I actually had a friend who has a paypal business account charge me for digital goods and make the order for me since those are allowed to go through. So in the end I had to pay some extra fees but I really couldn't care less! My order has been placed so I'm hoping she'll hurry home along with everyone else's lovelies. Thank you all though~ ;w;

I can't wait to see how she'll turn out! *u* I always think of Yabi as a boy too somehow... despite the innocent sweet face xD; and your characters are always beautiful~ May I ask who she is? =D You should definitely do some before and after comparisons with her older shell perhaps. It's always exciting to see how dolls just seem to evolve.

;A; Aww, and I hope you can resolve your reshelling problem! Prior to this time, i've only done it once and it was a suuuuper difficult decision for me to do because not only was the doll my first doll ever, he was also my oldest and most beloved character. It was such a hard decision and I felt a ton of guilt for even considering it at the time. However, the perfect doll came along for him and I somehow just knew it was the right decision. c: It ended up being the best decision I ever made in the doll hobby imo and I couldn't be happier with him now. c: I'd say especially when its a character that means a lot to you, its beyond worth it to change them around a bit if need be in order to further perfect them as a doll.
...sometimes it just takes forever to find the right doll though haha xD

@Soenatte ^U^ Ohh yay so happy for you that is worked out!! And thats super nice of your friend for helping you out with it too! xD Haha, and i'm doubling the hope that they won't take too long to ship. Mizi is in customs! Keeping my fingers crossed they don't overcharge me... Some customs officials seem to think all BJD parts must be worth hundreds, and charge accordingly. And some see them as toys and don't charge at all. Yay for the customs lottery.

@Arkelle yesss! >w< I saw! And seriously looking back at her pictures I think Yabi is going to be 'the' perfect shell. But I've waited for close to a year before and now I'm checking my email three times a day just in case.

That being said, I honestly wonder if small's lack of popularity comes from really being this obscure, her dolls being so hard to get, the aesthetic just not appealing enough or any combination thereoff... I really enjoy the intimacy of this thread too though! x3; Since we're only a handful of people it's easier to get to know everyone and their dolls/characters like this xP

@Little Lost Pixie oh goodie >.< I live in Europe too so I hear you there about customs... Greek ones may be easy to figure out down to the cent about what you'll be paying, but having to pay extra fees is always off-putting...

 

According to an online calculator I found, customs should be about 22 euro, but then EMS also charges you 17.50 to fill out the customs forms for you, so it'll be about 40 euro if they charge me correctly... Ah well, worth it to get her home, I guess.

 

Oh at least I can see EMS is charging other people now too, just for it being EMS...I remember it didn't use to be like that, and then someday we go to the PO and they're like "there's an extra 14 euro because it's EMS" ...I was so angry -_-

She's here! Okay, so she's NS and my spare MSD body is WS... but I will see if I can blush her head white when I do her face-up, I prefer white skin for her I think. She's wearing some random things I had lying around, but I think she likes them. She seems at home here. She's apparently from another planet, but she hasn't told me her name yet (she doesn't speak Earth languages, you see ).
