Sculpts you love (but will probably never get)

A lot of the things from Soom. I really like the strange monthlies, but I could never buy one. They are defiantly not my style, but they are pretty dang pretty.

 

I don't know about loving a sculpt I'll never buy, but I was really fond of Volks Kanata for a while. I tried telling myself that he was too short for my collection and would not fit in, but I wanted him. Then I went to the Volks store and saw him irl. I was totally put off. I thought seeing him first hand would set in my mind that he was too small for me, but it did more. He looked really different in person, in a way that erased everything I thought I liked about his sculpt online. His face was too narrow, his nose too sloped and pointy, and he was over all unsettling when compared to what I previously thought he looked like. Thanks, Volks, for putting him on display and saving me $636! ;D

I'm going be a bit envious of anyone who buys the Iplehouse Benny doll. That is a gorgeous girl!

 

That'd be: Aoi-Tuki Tukihime. *sigh* Adore her soooo much.

 

For me, there are a few out of the way because of the cost factor, at least for a long while. Everytime I look at photos from a Volks meet or photo booth I ask about a certain gorgeous boy I see, and it's always a Williams! >.< I just can't justify the price of usually over $1000 for just a head, when that's nearly the price of half my doll collection. -_- I still want an Okita, Hijikata and an F-38, but I will have to save and avoid all other purchases. ^^

I also think getting a Chrom has become more difficult for me, there usued to be tons on the mp, but now it's hard to find one still decently priced. There are many sculpts I like that I don't have a character for and until I can find a character I have that fits I have to ignore them mostly. They're not necessarily 'never' dolls, just not for a looong while.

 

Unidoll Ark. I absolutely LOVE him, his face is so unique, but I doubt I'll ever actually own him. It's a shame he isn't available on the website anymore, though my bank account can certainly breathe a sigh of relief for that. rofl.

 

I fell in love with LUTS Spica....and she's limited so I'll probably never find her now. *sob*

I don't need my dolls to fit particular characters. But I really just can't get EVERY sculpt I adore, even though that would be nice. I don't have the money, the time or the space! I do buy plenty of dolls--way too many for the aforementioned money-time-space limitations--already. Something has to give... Sadly...

I like all the really big SOOM monthly dolls. But I will probably never get any of them. For two reasons. One, because they're huge! (I like the big ones) and would probably never fit in, poor dears. And because I can't really afford them either. My birthday's in july, and the july monthly doll is already gone, but next year, if it's a small one, I want to get my birthday monthly doll. That'd be cool. But yeah, I really love the big ones too, but no, that will just never happen I don't think.

I have a feeling a lot of my wishlist on my profile will end up ones I probably will never get, due to the fact I'm not working and am young... :/ Maybe if I get a job? o.o;;

My main sculpt right now I absolutely adore is the new Idealian, Gluino. He's the perfect Lestat in my eyes. But... he's limited and I have no way of getting him in the current order period, and I have a feeling he'll be a pain to find later on the second-hand market. Plus he's a bit too tall for my liking, and his body's pretty built and muscular and I prefer a slimmer body aesthetically. And the inside of the head is just... odd, to me. But, I still love him to pieces.

 

Tanned Elf Ducan. Hands down. And I will probably, more than likely, never, ever get him. Dx

 

I want a Unoa. BAD. But I will never be able to afford one. Nor would my husband allow me to get one unless I sold my firstborn. XD

 

Many mature Iplehouse dolls have siren-called me over the months... the recent Tokyo Story's Asa and Tedros were so close to dooming me to months of no phone, no electricity, no food... *sigh* But of course, they'd never fit in with my current family... and it would be beyond silly for me to buy dolls which I would never play with - these would just sit somewhere in my room slowly yellowing, me being too intimidated by their finicky limited clothing to ever move them.

 

Mm, I really love the 4-armed Souldoll Shiva... but she's very expensive. And she's an SD. My MSD is more than big enough for me.

 

Volks Yo-Tenshi Hinata! I really adore this tiny, but I'll never pay for a Yo-SD what I usually pay for a limited SD. Before I'll ever do that, I'll make my dream come true and get a Volks SD17 Williams, another doll I love so much but will probably never get unless I stop calculating and thinking what else I could get for so much money. It's always a fight between heart and logic...

 

Elf Ducan. I fell in love with him so much and the ears worked perfectly with his face. I didn't really care whether I got the outfit or the faceup or the wig with him. I just loved his sculpt so much. But sadly he's limited and I don't know when he'll be next available. So in the mean time I'm saving up money for him but I'm hoping that I might maybe find him second hand if need be. But it's just so hard to tell if I can get him or not, or when he'll be available next. T^T

 

Elfdoll's Oasisdoll Natalie...

Although I can afford it, I know I won't be able to play with her much. :s It'll end up being a shelf doll and I really don't want to end up doing that.
