Sculpts you love (but will probably never get)

Crobidoll Yeon-Ho B. I absolutely love that mold, but I'm not really a fan of the SD sized and like to stick to MSD. And he costs waaay too much for me. Just getting all his clothes and wig and stuff even at a good price would be over $700 and money is really tight for me now, so there's no way I could ever justify spending that much on a doll.

I adore Iplehouse's Tatiana and several of their more mature ladies, but I doubt I'll ever get one. I simply don't have the money. ^^;;

 

It's looking likely to being Soom Amber at this rate, her second hand selling price is extreme!
I did pay even more for my Sard but he was a grail doll and I couldn't justify it again!!

 

I really love Volks SD13 Elena, but I already have a Volks SD10 Kun, and I would rather have one or two dolls with lots and lots of outfits than the other way around.

 

Sculpts I love:
The original WS and NS Sards (too expensive and people keep buying them too fast anyway). Also the WS version is starting to really yellow in a lot of seller's photos, which takes away from the "effect."

Switch Hawha (last one sold for $450! I was kinda hoping it wouldn't sell for that much, but within a few days it did! I don't think it's an unreasonable price for how rare/popular it is. I was just hoping for it to be at least $100 cheaper )

Haute Hound. The one that SDink painted is so gorgeous! I was just looking at the original Hounds in the featured gallery, and they were quite gorgeous, too. Amazing the sculpt was discontinued.

Dollfie Dream Nia. A beautiful customized one is selling for $1400. If I'm lucky, I might be able to scrap up less than half for a doll. Always wanted her, but the boyfriend wouldn't trust me with his credit card (EVEN THOUGH I HAD THE MONEY TO PAY HIM BACK RIGHT AWAY) when it was originally out. The only problem I had was that I don't currently have a credit card. Seems like I have to get one if I want to buy my dream dollies. I really hate the idea of credit cards though. I just wish we could just debit for everything. Make it more secure, plz, but it's just so much easier to deal with.

Any customized Dollfie Dreams selling on Yahoo Japan. Unfortunately, you really have to be on the ball to win. And many sellers don't ship internationally, so you have to rely on some service to get it for you. And some sellers go so far as to not sell it to the service if they think the item is going international.

A Supia Rosy boy or Elfdoll Vivien boy. Even though I love female heads on male bodies, I don't really like FTM bodies. I like feminine features in the face, but not so much on the body. And trying to find resin matches through the picture request forum is like pulling teeth. So many threads go ignored even when I can (kinda) find the very thing people are looking for in the gallery (though, the Rosy/Vivien boys are usually FTM, which I don't like. I want an actual male body for the characters).

An Iplehouse Asa boy. Or any of their really beautiful (and feminine, I know, I'm ridiculous!) heads. Apparently they fit well on the YID Muscle body, but I don't like that body. It seems the "cheaper" dolls' problem is the bodies most of the time.

 

Soom Breccia and Idrial. D: Gorgeous, gorgeous ladies, but they're both sold out...not to mention far out of my price range. Breccia's value shot sky-high as soon as she hit the marketplace, and I doubt I'll ever be able to find her with all her fantasy parts.

 

Agreed, I'd have loved a Soom Breccia - she's beautiful. I would have loved a Volks elf Irvin, but I don't think I'd have a chance getting him. I also would have loved Soul Doll Lev.

I thought I've never had a volks Mihmi. First time I saw her was in a doll sewing book. The katakana writing was: Mi-mi...I search for mimi...haha...not found MSD Mimi (there's SD Mimi, though) but then i found 'mihmi'...and surprised that there are some owners because i thought this doll isn't that popular...and yes, only a few owners in flickr (T.T)...Few, limited, the lottery was done almost a year ago, msd, volks, cute...oh well...who want to let her go?...Really2 thought, I would never get her until few weeks ago in a best price (^_^)d...It was like a dream to have her at home...*I like to share this because please...don't give up your doll-dream...*

Elder Iplehouse Doll Custom (Special Dark) Luo. I LOVE THIS DOLL IN THIS COLOR, BUT HE COSTS SOOO MUCH D8

 

I absolutely adore Soom's MD Topaz (along with so many others x3), but I already know it's one of those things that's just never gonna happen. I considered the NS, but it just didn't have the same feel to it.. I wanted the whole thing, the eyes and the outfit and ahh... How lovely she is.

 

My crew is heavy on more realistic Minimees who fit OCs I have, so they don't go well with large-eyed critters like DODs or Delfs, but I do like them. I like the good-natured look of many of the the Els and the Lishes, even though the style makes them look really elvish (or alien) next to my current crew.

I would love to find the only other tan DollTiD that was ever made. Reputedly it was sold in Korea.

Currently very much like Soom Chalco, Monzo, and Gluino, and Iplehouse Tedros and Bichun. They're all way too big for shots with my current crew, and I'd have to start completely over on shoes, clothes, etc.

Our crew's scale scale is fine for YID Iplehouse Carina, Lee or Theo, but I missed the nice tan color limited releases, and they're not high enough up the priority list... OMG, they're having a body sale. When has Iple ever done this before?? And the YID's have 9+ cm feet. Well, gee, that means new shoes for that lot!

 

I absolutely love the Ylisande body, although I'm not crazy about the head. Would love to get that body and find a head more to my liking, but the cost is just way too far out there!

 

I'm just like you, OP. I can't allow myself to buy a doll without making sure I can shell one of my characters in it. That means I will never get Volks Kanata or Loong Soul Doll Ivan, no matter how beautiful and irresistible they are.. @_@

 

For my it's Miyu, both Fairyland and Luts versions. I love her, adore her, but could never have her.

 

I love Soom Heliot but I don't think I could have him because he is too expensive

 

I'd love to own Soom's MD Cuprit one day. But she's way to expensive and the re release just wasn't right. I want her with all her fantasy parts but thats impossible to find. Maybe one day i'll have enough money and the luck to find her on the MP.
