1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Sculpts you love (but will probably never get)

Oct 3, 2009

    1. simple saber from Fate stay night.
her prices just too high for me

    2. I love Scarlet Iplehouse but it is impossible, for various issues was limited, price and too big in my opinion :pout::pout::...(:...(

    3. DC Elizabeth. I reaaally love her spider body because it's something entirely different from the normal human bodies. But I guess she wouldn't get much of my attention after all, so It'll stay just a wish..

    4. An IGO Echo head by Naruya. I don't even know how to begin finding one. I'll just have to pine forever.

    5. I'm lucky seeing I don't have an interest in any limited or retired dolls at the moment. However there are plenty of dolls that I want to add to the family. Most of them will probably never happen though.

I currently have two BJD, one SD girl and one YOSD girl and I'm already feeling guilty that I have to divide my attention between the two of them. If I could have it my way I'd sell both of my girls and go for one single doll that will stay alone for the rest of her/his life. That way I could shower him/her with all the attention, love, goodies and clothes he/she wants. We all know that's never going to happen though so I better stop dreaming.

Dolls I wouldn't mind owning on top of my current ones are Volks SD Coco, Littlefee Elf Ante, Pukifee Ante, Pukifee Mio, Minifee Miyu and Minifee Ante. I'm pretty sure the list will be ever expanding as I broaden my horizon. As you can see these dolls come in all shapes and sizes which would absolutely kill my wallet and my limited living space. Hence there's no way I'll allow myself to buy all these.

I guess that's not as exciting as wanting a retired doll or a limited edition but it's equally restricting in a way...

    6. If Elfdoll never opens back up again, Elfdoll Emma would probably hit that list. I kinda regret not getting her earlier, but I've always been one the fence about the Elfdoll body. I can't make up my mind about whether I would get her complete or just the head.

Also IOS Lacrimosa. I think his face is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous and pretty close to perfection. But, 80cm is just too tall for my crew. I'm afraid that he'd be bobble-headed if I put him on a smaller body (if they sold just the head in the 1st place!). Yet another case where the body throws me off and makes me indecisive. It seems to be a common problem for me.:sweat

    7. Also Ringdoll Warren. I love his smirk but I don't want to buy SDs anymore but stick with MSDs since they're easier to handle for me.

    8. I'm not sure money should be a problem. I mean, it depends on your priority. If you're willing to keep saving up and not get a dolls for years in order to save up enough for that one dream dolls, it should be possible to do. I mean, even the less expensive dolls cost money and if you count all the clothes and eyes and stuff, it can add up fast to the thousands you'd need for that grail doll.

But most people can't wait that long and would rather have several dolls than just waiting and saving for the one.

One of the great things about bjds is that people learn how to really save up (and earn money) for what they need--and also the stuff they want that is extra and makes them happy!

      -----

      For me...
It's never about the money... well, sometimes it is. I mean, some dolls are too much for me to be happy about getting.
Like Dollmore Lusions! They are expensive... but I spend that much on 3 or 4 or 5 smaller dolls and their items... I mostly think the Lusions are amazing, but they are just a bit too big for me. I'd probably just have her sitting there in one outfit all the time--not because it's expensive, but because I'd think handling her and changing her would be too much trouble for me. I barely change my smaller dolls!

I've also been fascinated by Dollshe Saints for years and years, even since they first came out! But I've never gotten one. First, they didn't fit in with the dolls I already had... but then I started getting other dolls that didn't fit, so that didn't matter. Then, the waits for Dollshes sometimes took a year or so and I didn't want one enough to want to wait that long or go through all the trouble... And even now, I think I like looking at other people's Saints more than having one of my own. I have lots of other dolls and don't feel a huge urge to own one, even though I'm tempted all the time!

Dollzone Anson and Moment --- I think they are just the most fascinating and gorgeous and unique sculpts ever!!! But I know I will probably never own one... I just don't think I'd have much fun owning one. I'd be afraid to break them and would just keep them untouched in a case all the time. I don't think I'd even paint them because I think they are so perfect as they are! I'd be afraid I'd just mess them up if I did anything to them!!! So, I will actually try NOT to buy one! I think I enjoy them more when other people own them!

    9. Yes, I have a couple. One is Dollshe Hound. I love seeing them and think they are absolutely gorgeous, but I've always hesitated. I don't really know what character I'd want mine to be, so I doubt I'll own him. Another one is Granado Xavier. I ended up shelling the character I was planning as an Iplehouse Eric instead of Xavier and it turned out to be a better fit, but I am still drawn to the Xavier sculpt since they aren't too common and I love his slight smile with the right faceup.

    10. that is easy, izel,or ebe made by marina bychkova she doe not make dolls anymore..:(

    11. Souldoll tan berial and ringdoll 2012 Frankenstein. Both were limited and expensive unfortunately. I haven't seen the Frankenstein for under $1000 secondhand. :|

    12. SD dolls in general I don't think I'll ever own. Only because they're huge and I'm not too fond of big dolls tbh... I've seen some lovely sculpts though so I see why they're such a popular size.

    13. Volks Suiseiseki and Fairyland MNF Juri 2008. They are my grail dolls.

    14. I would love to have a Sweet Gale Cyril and 5stardoll Tumnus :3

    15. First doll that comes to mind is bjtales mouse. I missed the preorders so sad day. Of course that was a lot of money too that I'm not sure I could handle at that time. But also I'm worse off now than I was then lol.

    16. I really like Iplehouse Cocori, but I don't think I could ever own one because I strongly associate that sculpt with a doll that a friend has, and I wouldn't be able to see that doll as my own character.

    17. Any dolls. Just...way out of my budget. Even the cheap fakes.

    18. There are plenty of dolls and heads I want (I just need to look at Doll Chateau's, Dollzone's, etc), but, at the end of the day, I will only buy dolls that will last. I hate selling, and, after the first enthusiasm, I've realised these are dolls I would sell, at some point or other.
EDIT: I'd love to get a LLT Ludwig in tan. I cannot afford him at the moment and July is just too early for me to spend on a whole doll. If she releases him again next year, there is a chance I can buy him, though it would be quite a struggle financially.

    19. I like Iple's Bribiane, but without a shrink ray, I see no point. She's more than a proportional foot taller than the character I'd cast her as. If she was a 60, I could make her work, but not at 75cm. Oh well.... Some actors just can't wear the clothes convincingly, either.

    20. There are plenty of doll I would love to have but never put on my wish list because they just don't fit the character.
