Sculpts you love (but will probably never get)

Doll chateau austin (he's actually the first doll I truly fell in love with in this hobby, and I do hope to get him someday but... not anytime soon) and minifee mika/mir, bonus points for his fullset. I don't have a character in mind at all, but I just truly adore everything about him, so precious, with the perfect ratio of mature and immature for my preferences. But I don't think I'll have own him

 

For some odd reason Dollshe Venitu is that sculpt that I find magnificently gorgeous, but will probably never own. Even if I had the money for him, I don't think I would ever bring him home. I always think he looks so good owned by someone else, I just have no idea what I would do with him. I will always just admire him from afar.

 

SADLY... the fairyland sculpts. and by that i mean pretty much all of them! They're gorgeous, gorgeous dolls, and I love seeing what people do with them, but I could never see myself owning one. I'm also not super into Dollshe or many of the Volks sculpts. Again; wonderful sculpts! Just not my thing.

 

I Love Soom Zinc, i would own him in a heartbeat, but he is so expensive i doubt i will ever get him. I can dream though.

I love the Fairyland dolls, mainly Feeple Chloe but she is also expensive /sigh

 

Gosh.. I have a couple and I don't want the list to get any longer than this:

Fairyland MNF Juri '08 (I might want to try for Luts '05 or FL '12 version in SD)
Souldoll Justitia and Devonia (mostly for their amazing costumes as well)
Iplehouse Scarlet (she was never manly)

 

Probably SD17 Williams (and a few other Volks) and also a 5th Motif Venitu.

Both because of the same reasons: I don't really know why I want them.
With both I have a constant "oh god they are so awesome" and "urgh, but actually..." love/hate relationship.
I think what I like the most about them is what other people do with them.
Especially with Venitu I saw a lot of great concepts and skillful customizations, and I think I want to work with one too.
Same with the Volks, especially the Williams. He has a big head, big eyes, something I actually don't like much.
But I often see pictures of him that make me go all "ooooh Williams" again and then I start to doubt my decision of never getting one.

There are a few other dolls I reaaally like but will never get, but these two are the only one that make me change my mind so often.

Still think that I will give up one day and get at least one of them -_-

 

I love the creepiness and elegance of Doll Chateau's Elizabeth, but I don't feel I'd ever shell out the money to purchase her - I have other dolls that are priorities over her, and I don't think she would fit well into the aesthetic of the collection I want to build... It's kind of like that "I think kids are cute, but I don't want to be a parent myself"-type thing, lol.

 

Volks Michele and Dollshe Rosen.
Michele is just way too much. Cheapest I've seen is $900 for the head alone. I can't justify that, lol...
Dollshe Rosen I would want in tan, but I really dislike the Dollshe bodies so I'd have to hybrid him. And tan isn't very easy to hybrid xD but who knows.

 

well,I am still a newbie and I don't even have one doll right now
the one I would love to have but will probably never have is Dollzone Sawarieda ...first I can't spend 1000$ on a doll and second she is HUGE but I just love everything about her

 

As indicated in my signature as a constant form of torture against myself, my grail is the AE Crystal Mermaid. It's so unattainable with only 20 sculpts worldwide. I can dream I suppose

 

I can second doll chateau Elizabeth. I think she is an amazing doll and just a bit too weird, and I love what I have seen people do with her. But I couldn't shell out the money for her and actually I don't think I could do her justice ... or have anywhere to keep her.

Also IOS Infernale. Just he's so amazingly fierce and beautiful and again, I adore what i have seen people do with him. But his downsides are exactly the same as DC Elizabeths for me.

 

i think ringdoll Illya is sooo gorgeous!! but i don't really go for boys and he's wayy too big for me ^^

 

Im one of those, who needs a character for a doll too, otherwise I end up selling them. But there is one doll that Im totally in love with. Its a fantasy-type (not my style) with a fullset (totally against it) and also limited (hes long sold out!). Hes a LoongSoul doll that is nowhere to be found. I dont even know the dolls name Its truly depressing.. But I have never liked a doll with vampy fangs as much as him. Gosh, if he ever showed up, Id pay anything

I'm yet another person who needs a doll to fit a character, and not a character to fit a doll. I fall in love with a lot of sculpts, mostly from peakswood, ringoll, and switch, and a few artists dolls, but I can't bring myself to get any of them, as they I don't have a character already made that suits them or that would go well with their features. I don't want to just make useless characters that will sit their either, I have a project for each OC and a plotline idea and a whole universe base around each one.

But man, one of the peakswood tinies calling my name. and basically any pretty tan doll. Fff. I want them all.

 

I would love to own a SOOM but I probably never will because of how many limited dolls there are. I just wish they would stop with the limited sales time, it kinda feels like they're missing out on profits by not selling them all the time. I really wanted a SOOM Amber, the elf one but he's been sold for probably over a year. If anyone knows where I could get one I would be so grateful.
The second I want is impossible to find, I've been looking everywhere for a 5th motif venitu but I just can't find him anywhere. I didn't want him at first but now that I've seen how beautiful the owners have made him I want him too. If anyone knew where I could get one I would be more than grateful.
I've also limited myself to only owning 20 dolls for now until I can get everything I want for them and get all the ones on my wishlist.

 

Ahhhhhhh those SOOM limited dolls - When I was browsing for my first doll to buy, I found myself really drawn to a number of SOOM dolls...of course being new to the hobby meant I was far too late for them ;_; I recently saw one for sale but I think it's out of my budget for the time being

 

I cant think of the name but those Black butler dolls! They're adorable but I couldn't commit to it. Another one would probably be Doll Chateaus Carol, he's so cute but its too strange for me.

 

@monsterprincebjds Those black butler dolls were GORGEOUS. I almost converted a long time anime-loving friend to the hobby based on those dolls alone. I wish I could have gotten one at the time!

 

I'm obsessed with the Ciel one, but I couldn't commit so much money to it because I'd treat it like a figurine and never ever touch it.

 

The Ciel one was amazing, I would honestly be too afraid to touch it. Other dolls I feel I could customize but not those.
