SecretDoll Yogi discussion part 2

Turkeys can be scary. I got chased by a big turkey once. Word of advice to the girls: when their heads turn blue, it's time to run!

EEK! Baby fairies getting chased by a turkey???!!!

We have wild turkeys in our back yard all the time, they are HUGE--I would be scared to tangle with one!

I couldn't help but share these photos I took today, when this lovely dress arrived in the mail!!

Abby in a kelly victorian dress...off feebay.


I've been looking for something like this dress for Abby. Back in 2004/05 Secretdoll had a cute set
of victorian fashions for the baby fairies, but I've only seen Korean owners with the fashion. It made
the baby fairies look like tiny porcelain dolls from the victorian era...Oh, how I wish secretdoll made those
fashions again-_-; But I guess we'll have to be satisfied with this one from kelly...

That's a gorgeous dress, ggsdolls! It does make her look like one of those perfect little Victorian girls (or porcelain dolls)! Once in a while you find a real winner among the Kelly clothes!

 

ggsdolls, I really luv that victorian dress from kelly doll. I don't remember that one. It is so great on her. I really like your Yogi. She looks so old fashioned or something. I know you got her long ago, right? I mean, you "got it" before most of us here, right? Her eyes are so blue. My babies both have brown eyes. I luv them all.

PrincessStarburst, I am so glad you did not say "bye" to your prima girl. lol I saw her there in the unmentionable MP. I did not want to ask you. I can see she would NOT be happy with that, at all! Unless, she may have really wanted to leave. Which she did not. Poor little Cissy. I luv that name too. Maybe you can make it up to her and tell her you were completely out of your mind when you did that. You meant to put a different doll up for sale instead. lol You may have to really give her lots and lots of Christmas presents now too.

She has such pretty little outfits and a cute little room.

 

ggsdolls I love your Abby so much. Dollightful is right, she has a very Victorian look about her, maybe it is the eyes? You are so lucky that you discovered Secretdoll before all of us. I would love to see a picture of some of the older outfits. Where could I find these? On flicker? I love the Dress she is wearing. Is it a Kelly dress? Wow! I am surprised.
Dollightful Yes, Cissy is making my life very hard after placing her in 'That terrible place". I have been given a Christmas list from her that is going to keep me broke for the rest of my life. I might have to take out a second mortgage or something!! I really don't know what came over me........I mean, who needs extra money for Christmas???? LOL

Dollightful, Isn't this dress amazing on her!! Its actually from a special edition Victorian Barbie and Kelly, not sure the year it was released but it was recent. The seller sold just the outfit alone, I've seen some selling the kelly doll and outfit, but the only way to find this one is thru feebay unless you purchase the whole set with Barbie-_-; Oh, yes, I actually got Abby not too long ago, just back in January of 2008! But I've been in love with them since 2004! I actually saw a yogi from a Japan owner who had hers with blue eyes, so when I ordered my yogi I specifically asked for blue eyes in the order with black hair. It was really nice of Secretdoll to be so helpful and follow my exact order preferences. but I love all yogi, sen, root and any baby fairy. They are all so unique and lovable. So, the one's I don't have I get to see and enjoy everyone's here!!

Princessstarburst, Thank you soo much for loving her too dear! I totally agree its her eyes and the extra blush that she has on her cheeks and rosy lips I think that makes her look more porcelain. As for the older photos, they are no more...I've tried to find them too but they are not posted even thru secretdoll-_-; Luckily, I did copy them for future references. You can see some on each of the baby fairies listing when you order them. but I will find out if I am able to post them here without getting in trouble...I will have to ask secretdoll and DOA for permission?? Yes, her dress is a kelly dress, but a special ed. I wrote more in the above comment. I love this one especially too!

That is so sweet of Secretdoll to do that. I would love blue eyes in my little one but I dare not take the eyes out that she has for fear of not being able to get them back in. I find it hard enough with my little puki dolls so goodness knows how difficult it would be with a Yogi.
It's so funny with these girls. They are not the most popular dolls but to each owner it is like we have discovered a secret.......a very special little doll that is unlike any other out there.

 

ggsdolls--I don't remember any Victorian fashions for these girls, do you have pictures of them by any chance? I would love to try to make some, Thea would be thrilled!

Your Abby is gorgeous, such a sweet little girl-I bet she gets lots of goodies for Christmas!

 

PrincessStarburst, Trust me dear, I totally understand how you feel. I have never tried to change her eyes, I've done Unola, Elfdoll Tinies, but Abby is just soo small I am afraid I might mess up her eyes-_-; So, I know how you feel! But you said it well in your last sentence, there is a secret and only those of us who become smitten by them know it!! You should post this lovely sentence on Secretdoll, I think it will make them blush!! I Love it!

Jenny, I went into my photo files of yogi from 2004 and found something close to it. There's actually more, but I must have put them on a disk sometime ago. Still, I hope I dont' get in trouble for borrowing this one to show you! I loooove this style and would love to find this for my Abby. I know Thea would look even more amazing in this style too! Haha...sometimes Abby gets a lot of goodies, but she hates having to share with Dodo!

Baby Chloe is on her way to Seattle for a 'make over' . i will be as surprised as everyone else to see how she 'changes' . here is one of the last pictures that i took of her with Edgar.

 

That is a beautiful photograph. I cant wait to see what she looks like after her time away at the spa. She is already incredible.
