1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. SecretDoll Yogi discussion part 2

Jun 28, 2010

    1. Their English is good, but limited. When I ordered Sen, I asked for her to have a blonde wig and also a replacement black wig for my Yogi because her prior owner had cut hers very short. I got Sen in a black wig and the replacement wig was brown. I took the black wig off Sen (Petal) and put it on Yogi (Antheria) and then ordered a separate blonde wig for Sen. I think the shipping was more than the wig. This time, though, I sent a photo and they got it right. At least if Root's wig ever gets tatty, I already have a replacement. lol The girls all send shout-outs to their friends and if they ever get out of the pool, maybe I can take their photo.

    2. Lina, I always love seeing your girls! I THOUGHT it was you who had ordered the wigs--they are 20 each and the shipping is about 22, but since I ordered Dazzle2 I figured I better get some wigs so I could combine shipping. I thought maybe sending them the pic of what I wanted was overkill, but I am glad I did it so there won't be any mis-communications. Now--the wait!!!

    3. I tried the photo of a doll with black hair, they still said I was getting a blonde! LOL! No word yet on whether they will let my buy a black wig for her and if it will take them an extra two weeks to put a wig in the box (my ship date was supposed to be the 27th but who knows now!). Does anyone know if Baby Fairies can take size 4 Dreaming Tree eyes? Those are about the smallest I can think of and I believe I have a spare pair of 4s in the color I want. Since I am going to be scalping Blondie anyway and having access to her head cap, I might as well put in the color eyes I want as well!

    4. I THINK Theas eyes are a size 4, I know I ordered 4's and 5's from Dreamingtreestudio, and I think the blue ones I used are size 4. I have some spare pairs, I will check later for you.

Yes, Theas eyes are size 4mm. I have another pair in that size and they are exactly the same. Now that I think about it, I seem to remember the 5's were bigger than I liked.

    5. From looking at Poppy's eyes and just recently using a pair of 4s for my OT Squee (who is adorable in them!), they look to be about the right size. I don't even know anyone who makes smaller except some of those people on eBay who make the eyes for the polymer clay dolls, and they are usually very limited in color choices. Thanks, Jenny!

    6. Goodness, Thea you are the beauty queen of this thread! Gorgeous wig, and my favorite on her so far. Do you mind sharing what wig it is so I can store it away with all my other Importants Informations? Can't remember my phone number, but I can recite every single one of my doll measurements and where to get their essentials, tee hee

Darkstar, my fingers are crossed Secretdoll gets your order straight, you poor thing! I swear you are getting the only person there who doesn't speak English! I hope you don't end up with a wig for a frog or something like that.....

Imajica, I need to sync my days off with yours! I nearly missed out on all those marvelous froggy pictures of Nell and her new Prince. Is she stepping out on Gervais already or is that Papa?

    7. Oh sorry, I should have mentioned!! Theas wig is mohair NICOLE size 2-3, I got it on Ebay. Now be forewarned the woman I purchased from was really snotty and rude to deal with, so maybe you could find it somewhere else. Anyway, it comes in red, (which I LOVE but that is just not Thea,) light brown and this is blond, but it is much darker than the pics in the auction.

    8. This is the Nicole wig? I had one of those before, it didn't look as nice as Thea's--she must have enchanted it! It really IS Thea--no need for any other wigs!

Oh and if anyone is looking for smaller eyes, I once bought the teeniest eyes ever, and I mean tiny, tiny, from a Taxidermy supplier. They were glass, and they actually had quite a few colors.

    9. I had another Nicole wig a couple years ago that was really scruffy--either they improved them or I got lucky and got a good one. I ordered Thea two "original" baby fairy wigs, black (like she had when I got her) and blond. So she can have a change now and then. Or maybe Dazzle will want to try long hair--who knows, it is just fun to play!

    10. I never understand why some ebay sellers can be so rude. They still survive but they dont seem to understand they are providing a service!
I think the new boy is Nells daddy before she got humanized. Gervais is her best frog forever, they have the most fun. King frog is very imperious and although he is very safe to be around he is also a bit boring (dont tell him that)

Hurry up new dolls , get in your parcels and on your way, its all too exciting.

    11. Transporters! I am telling you, we need transporters like in Star Trek! They wouldn't have to be able to transport people or food or anything like that, but certainly it can't be that hard to transport resin! Someone needs to be working on this now! Seriously!!!

    12. OOh, I LOVE the idea of transporters, especially since I am sitting here feeling very sorry for myself-

I was carving a doll today and my knife slipped--tore open my hand, almost 1/2" deep. I have never gotten cut carving before! I wasn't too scared until I saw the fat and tissue start to come out with the blood--thank God my friend was here, she grabbed cloths and pressed them into my hand and drove me to the ER. 4 stitches, and I am very lucky because I did not nick my tendons. But a dolly right now would make me feel better (sniff.....)

    13. OH, Jenny! I am so glad it was no worse than that, but how awful! The Twins will have to be especially good for a while so you can mend in peace. I'm sure Thea will do all she can to nurse your poor injured hand! Who'd have thought these dolls could be so dangerous!

    14. Thanks--I am really grateful that I got my hand and not my wrist!! Never got cut before other than tiny nicks. Guess I won't be carving or sewing for about ten days--

but hey, I can't do dishes, either!! Poor hubby!

Thea will take good care of me, and the twins have some new toys to play with so I think they will stay out of trouble for a while!

    15. I'm glad you are ok, Jenny. Tendons are actually very close to the surface of your hand (at least mine are) and I cut the one that controlled the first joint of the little finger on my right hand while slicing tomatoes. It was just a little nick, but that joint has never worked since. I'm not a concert pianist, so I didn't have it repaired. Be sure and watch it for infection until it heals. Ouch!

    16. Oh gosh, I didn't know that. My cut is in the fleshy mound adjacent to my thumb, a more fatty area I guess. I feel so dumb. Carving for 8 years and I have never done anything like this.

OKey Dokey, I need pic spam to feel better!! Where are all the girls?????

    17. Jenny, no! You poor thing---are you okay? I hope they gave you lovely pain meds to get you through this. And your beautfiul dolls--you are so talented, I really want to see the one with the sweet face finished. Did you give her red hair, after all? So pretty. I do hope you heal up quickly and get back to carving soon!
      And cause you asked:

    18. OOOH THANK YOU Toydogz, I LOVE that pic!! I am so glad I ordered a Dazzle2, and seeing Cossette makes me excited and will tide me over until mine comes home.

They did give me pain meds--not working too well tho. And yes, my last one did get her red hair--she is all done now, but I can't sew her any clothes for a while!

    19. Oh gosh Jenny. Please take care and heal soon. Your husband sounds like he has it under control. At least you cut that part of your hand, oh wow it could have been so much worse and your hands are SO talented. I have been enjoying your Hitty photos on flickr so much.

Would you like any little helpers to tend you ?

Dont worry, what they lack in qualifications , they make up for with enthusiasm!
