1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Senior Delf DION and CIAN limited

Jul 27, 2007

    1. Don't worry about it, we all started out not knowing much about dolls. And to tell the truth, I'm pretty new to the bjd hobby. I got my first doll in June and I didn't have any experience with double joints or even dolls larger than 45cm until my DoI arrive... last week XD I'm sure you'll learn a lot more just lurking about on this forum, and it's always good to ask questions here since DoA members are nice and usually answer (goodness knows how many newb questions I asked before I ordered my first doll *_* )

    2. I'm wanting one of the new bodies simply for the poseability the double and extra jointing would allow. *__*

    3. Please refrain from discussing any transactions outside of the Marketplace. Anything regarding sales, splits or WTBs will be removed. Thanks.

    4. I hear you on this one XD I normally would not pay extra for a body that looks practically the same as the old type does, but when I saw the double joints I just had to buy my Cian with THAT body instead :lol:

      Btw, question.... anyone know what size of shoes SDF's fit? I was looking at their measurements and checking out some old threads on the forum. Clothes wise, I've more or less figured out what size my new doll will take, but I'm stumped with shoes right now. Does anyone know if they'll fit any of the Dollmore shoes (other than Model M size)?? I kind of want to get my boy casual converses to wear, but... Dollmore's SD converses seem to be too small and I'm not sure where else I could get a pair in the right size :sweat

    5. aralyn>> unless the dollmore converse shoes come in model-doll size, i highly doubt they're going to fit. these guys have really chunky feet. o_o;; i have a pair of SD converse shoes that i got second-hand (i'm not sure where they were from orginally) that is meant to fit SD-boy (as opposed to the slightly smaller ones that work better on SD girl feet) and while the length is okay, the width is a really tough stretch.

    6. Yeah, I feared that when I saw the measurements. I think length-wise, the dollmore shoes are fine, but it's the width of them that sucks... the shoes would be too narrow :sweat

      I think I might have to resort to buying shoes that fit my DoI for my SDF... either that, or I'll just have to look on the Luts website for actual SDF sized shoes... *cringes* but their shoes always costs a lot.... >__<

    7. aralyn>> i've found that the bigger-sized delf shoes bit well (like the heavy metal boots for boy i got over 2 years ago--those are HUGE on my delfs, but a good fit on my SDF). i've yet to actually buy one of LUTS' SDF shoes. XD

      i've also found shoes in the hound/larger-SD category to fit pretty nicely as well. :3

    8. Thanks for the suggestions =D I actually bought my DoI's first pair of shoes off the Lut's website (the SDF section too). I guess this is good news though, it means my boys can switch shoes between them XD I'll have to take a look at the Delf shoes as well, and see if there are any styles I like from there.

      Still looking for a place that sell SDF sized converses though :sweat

    9. The Luts SDF shoe category used to be SD13 shoes, so I imagine SD13 sized converse will fit.

    10. Thank you for clarifying that, CampBowie... I think I may have found a pair of converses that will fit my Cian over on the Leekeworld site. Well, it says it'll fit SD13, so even if it doesn't fit my Cian, I'm sure it'll probably fit my DoI ^^;

    11. You can buy converses for dollfies? Ahh, that is so neat! ^^

      I have a sort of sinking feeling that I'll make the mistake of buying a ton of accessories and clothes before I even have a doll to put them on. ;__;

    12. You're probably not the only one who's thought about doing this or HAS done it in the past. I usually order my doll first and then buy clothes while waiting for the doll to arrive though. It's easier that way because I know the doll's exact measurements and what size of clothes/shoes/wigs will fit him/her ^___^

      Question~ I was just looking at the Cian and Dion photos over on the Luts site and I can't really tell from those, but does the new type body come with the slight veiny hands or do they just come with the plain hands?? Either would be fine with me, I'm just curious =3

    13. Aralyne, the converse on Leeke DO fit Senior delfs ^_^ They even fit Dollshe boys! I have two pairs <3 They're wonderfully easy to get on too, even the boot-style ones ^__^. Wish the human-sized ones were that easy to slip on and off XDD

      And the hands are normal, you might be looking at one of the new hand parts though ^^

    14. Ah, that's good to hear XD Now I can stop looking for converses and concentrate on looking for more clothes for my boy when he arrives lol.

      I'm not entirely sure where I remember reading about the veiny-hands, it makes me wonder if I might be getting my dolls mixed up since I was looking at a lot of dolls yesterday with my sister ><!!

    15. I spent last night and all day to read this thread.It's very helpful.

      While many guy've already brought Cian,I've just decided to buy him or not.
      If i decide to buy cian,He will be my first doll.So it's really hard decision.
      I falled in love with him at first glance that I saw him on lust site.I try to save money for him,but he was sold out.

      This time i really think that it is good time to buy him and I have to buy him before he was sold out again.:...(However,I still worry about how to take care him.I don't want to buy my favorite doll and then break him down.

      I have enough money to buy him but after I buy,i will broke.
      Do you guy think i should buy him now or wait for new release.

    16. yukichi: This is meant to be their final release, I believe.

    17. I'm not sure if this is going to be the final re-release for Cian and Dion, but I think you should buy him now. Everyone worries when they're buying their first doll - I know I did when I bought my DoC. But when you get your doll, you'll soon learn that he's a lot more durable than you'd think. Normally things like falling over or backwards won't damage a doll at all; resin is tough stuff ^^;

      As for how to take care of your doll? Searching around this forum helps a lot. You can do research while you wait for your doll to arrive ^__^

    18. Well if you love him, this is your only chance to get him unless you get him second hand. . .It is a really hard decision I know. . .but I will say this, I have a version 1 Cian and I love him so much that I am getting a version 2 Cian also :sweat Plus their bodies are amazing and pose very well. The resin is nice quality and very smooth, and really well done. They are also pretty sturdy, so if you really love him just make sure to go through the threads on maintenance if that is what is bothering you ^_^ Also, he'll come with a nice pamphlet on how to restring etc. And Senior Delfs are pretty easy to restring, so it is a good first doll in that sense. ^^ Good luck with your decision ^^

    19. aquaspiral - I did a search for Cian photos on the forum and I saw photos of your boy. He's gorgeous :D If you don't mind me asking, what size of eyes does he take? I know on the Luts site, the defaults are 18mm, but can your boy take smaller ones??

    20. Aralyne--Hi ^__^ aww thank you! Actually I have him in 16mm eyes right now, funny that you mentioned that. Here I am gonna try to be helpful :XD:---

      I actually prefer the 16mm ^^ Although I don't know how well 16mm acrylics would look because of the oval shape versus the urethane, glass, or Silicone eye-shape (I don't know if the white part of standard acrylics would be too small or not :sweat)

      I hope that was helpful ^_^
