Senior Delf girls ANNETTE + BLANCHET

Sep 4, 2007

    1. I gotta admit... I love Annette, but not at all a fan of Blanchet at the moment - maybe she'll be more liked when owner pics emerge ^_^

      Gawd she's perfect <3

Side Note - My Dion shipped today... XD And he SHOULD be here JUST before I order Annette lmao!

    2. Well, there's nothing wrong with Blanchet, but she's a bit ordinary. She's cute, but nothing really stands out about her as of yet.

    3. Annette looks so shy... she's so pretty. :aheartbea

    4. i finally took a look at the body pics...
i absolutely totally am in love with annette's face... but she looks like a q-tip! her body is so emaciated and tiny in comparison! :...(
do they sell the heads separately for the senior delfs ever? looking at the "option parts" section, it doesn't look like it, but i can always hope...

    5. I suppose I'm one of the few who likes Blanchett! I love her nose; she's got such character, and she's adorable. :)
Annette is gorgeous of course, and I love the face-up she has in that photo; it gives her a lovely somber expression.

    6. *_* I'm not so sure on the bodies. They look so skinny I'm afraid the limbs will just snap in half with the slightest touch. Regardless I'm leaning more torwards Blanchet.

    7. Annette's going to be my Juri's sister :) I really like Blanchet as well, but her face is too... sweet for me. If she was a mini, I'd really love her, but as she is, I wouldn't buy her. I really want to see owner pics of her, though. I think she's pretty. I'm not really fussed about the body (I never am ), and if it really repulses me when I get her, it won't matter because she'll be wearing clothes :P

    8. Finally i saw the pics, The proportions aren't that bad, she have nice big hand and feets and the breast are the right size, but really, the could put more efforts in making this body, its so little detailed, breasts aren't very natural looking and the joints just looks ugly.:barf
It looks like a poorly refined cheap body to me, it doesn't have the classic curvy CP looks.

The laughable thing its that is called "Senior Delf" so its supposed to look older the Normal Delf but in the end she looks like a skinny 13 years old girl.

The thing I absolutely love about this body its that it have such big hands and feets, usually bjd have small ones and this fact IMO limit a lot their expressivity, she also got some nice long arms. I still prefer this one over the other 70cm girl dolls tough in the end.

PS: I don't quite like the fact they make the pics so bright, they give a doll an ethereal look but it really cover both details and defects and you can't understand the real colors.*_*

    9. I'm not sure I like the characterization of Chinese dolls being implied here. Can the arrogant, elitist sweeping generalization, please.

    10. I hope I'm not the only one who thinks the bodies are far, far FAR too skinny..? If she'd be a living girl, she'd be diagnosed with anorexia.
As said before, they look like the cheap bodies, like Angel of dream.

As a matter of fact I even think the AoD bodies look...well..better..:sweat
I really don't want to be a hater, but the Senior Delf girl bodies are a real turn-off..

It's such a shame that there is no compatibility at all between Real skin and the old two skin tones...
If the Blanchet head could go on the lovely curvy Delf type 2 body, there would be no doubt in my mind.

    11. I'd just like to remind everyone who's confusing this: You don't have to be anorexic to be skinny. I'm stupidly skinny, but I was born like it.

I'll admit too, that these girls are equally as ugly-skinny as I am, and are therefore less attractive. ...However, I like to think of it like this: A whole lot more people would be in upraw if they followed todays "natural" western body shape. I'd rather have a skinny doll than an obese one.

    12. actually, i love my doll, and she has large breasts and a decent-sized bottom. i wouldn't mind a more naturally-shaped doll. lynwann is making a "fat-bottomed" doll, and it's adorable. i find extreme skinny dolls to be actually pretty unattractive. to me, dolls represent femininity, and in my weird brain, i find curves to be more representative of that. but i'm kind of crazy, so there you have it, lol. i wouldn't like a considerably larger-sized doll, either. i'm picky, :sweat .
i just don't like the senior delf bodies because they do look cheap, but more than that, they look like a bad hybrid. the head just looks waaaay too big.

    13. I agree that it is disappointing to see that the "senior" delf body looks so extremely young and skinny, but I think that we all could be a little more careful about using the term "anorectic" everytime something skinny shows up... just a note, as there could be many skinny people, or dolls, that don't have anorexia. Heck, my bf and his sister eat like pigs and look like senior delfs :ablink: I think this body has weird nipples and joints, short palms, and the combined shape of the thighs/torso looks unmatched... But I do think the shape of the arms and the legs overall are nice, exept too thin- the girl really needs some booty! And I also think that the body looks way too small for the head. Exept from the eyebrows, I think the faces are quite nice, think I will need to see some owner pics... but personally, I would not spend so much money on a doll I did not really love both face and body of (even though I usually dress my dolls, haha!) ... So if I ever get a senior, it will probably be one of the boys. But at least the breasts of these girls don't remind me of melons, like the mature body :blush Of course, this is my personal opinion, I think it's nice that companies make different bodies so that we can choose, bad thing is that these heads probably only fit the senior body. And that this does not look like a senior to me :(

OT, I want an Iplehouse girl for her body...

    14. I'm quite offended by that comment. My body is similiar in statue to the Senior Delf girls and i'm not anorexic. So please watch what your saying. Not everyone skinny has health problems. She IS very skinny but it appeals to different people. If you like curvy thats fine! But it's not in any way right to brand something 'skinny' as anorexic. Anorexia is a serious eating disorder not a "look".

It would be nice however if the old skin tone and the real skin tones worked together, or at least release normal delfs in real skin =/ I also agree that the body doesnt look very senior either D: which is a bit of a let down. But going from my Bory i can tell you know that body is gonna pose brilliantly! Even if it is wierd.

    15. :o Gosh so much hater rade for the Senior Delf girl body, that's sad, I really like this doll and if I don't get a Soul Doll, I'll get Annette, she really is beautiful and I like her shape boobs and all. I bet she can do even better poses once I get my hands on her;)

    16. Everyone who doesn't like the bodies should write the company with a constructive critique of what they like and dislike about it, and what they would like to see changed. If enough people suggest that they try making second girl body, theres always the possibility that they may listen. I've seen evidence in the past that they pay attention to their customer comments, and they have made different body options in the past as well. Of course, it would only work if enough people are interested... but it's worth a shot, right?

I personally like the skinny bodies for my purposes, but I wouldn't mind seeing other options...

And if I sound like an idiot it's because I just woke up after only four hours of sleep. Sue me.

    17. Seconding this...I don't like how that's worded, nor the generalization. A lot of things are becoming rather offensive in this thread >_>.

    18. Agreed too, hehe... we really should be able to express our opinions about the dolls looks without being offensive to others. As both I and Adae point out, being skinny is not the same as being anorexic, and many people might have sore feelings as to the use of this generalized term. It is like saying that any large person has an overeating disorder, which is also untrue. But I don't really think people use these terms to be mean, I think it is mainly thoughtlessness, but then again it is important to speak up so that people understand this is not ok. I am really not trying to turn the doll discussion into something else, but I think it should be ok to point out a few things and hopefully move on.

And the "Made in China" attitude that many people express... I believe that a large quantity of my beloved belongings are "Made in China", so I am very thankful for their talent and productiveness! :sweat Again, I think the comment here was mainly thoughtlessness, but please do think... Again, really not trying to contribute to an off topic discussion, but it would be so much nicer in here if we could all think before posting, and be more respectful... :(

    19. Double post, sorry. (How do I delete these things?)

    20. Ok ok sorry, didn't thought a lot before posting, didn't want to offend anyone, post edited.

Senior Delfs bodies aren't anorexics or skinny but just thin, I seems like bjd maker are scared of making "thick" dolls for some reason, I don't mean fat or slim but just the body proportions, I wish to abjd to have wider torso and curvy legs IMO its more feminine this way.
