Serenade Doll

@rianne I was so tempted to buy at least that one white gown but it would not fit my girl's style and the rest will be commissioned pieces anyway... but damn was I tempted XD I will however prolly add the stand when I pay my last layaway payment simply because one can never have too many doll stands ever.

I already have her wig at home, am hopefully soon paying for her helmet and then I need to figure out how to go about her other armor pieces... and who should paint her (and how).

Hello everyone
I've been following this thread and admiring all your gorgeous girls.
I've wanted a Serenade girl for a long time, well I saw this beautiful Nun sp head for sale, painted by one of my favourite artists, Lyly Pie, and I couldn't resist!
I had to find her a body - and as we know it's impossible to buy parts from Serenade, only a full doll, so I purchased a blank doll from Serenade (and now have a spare blank nova head) in pure white to match my Nun's head.
I must say I'm pretty impressed with Serenade Doll's service, they did not send me any emails but did send information via paypal to inform me they had received my order and again when they sent it out.
It took only 3 weeks for my doll to arrive - and one of those weeks was spent in UK Customs -.so quite fast really.
Of course I had to order all the hands and leg parts and lots of clothing, it's impossible not to!

So this girl is on the smallest bust body, she is just so elegant! Her legs go on forever and are so thin she could drop down an drain, but she's gorgeous.
Her resin I would say is about the same quality as Cerisedolls and Shinydoll, so it's obviously not as rhobust as say Volks resin, but okay, and the posing ability is brilliant.
I haven't had time to work out who she is yet, she may be an ethereal being or just a skinny teenage student, she is so verstile. Love her to bits!

Question for those who have a serenade doll with high high legs - do regular SD13 high heel boots fit them?

It's nice to see that you got her body so quickly! Serenadedoll emailed me when I ordered and said my girl would take 1-2 months, so here's hoping for the 1 month. XD

@Roterwolkenvogel They can't wear 1/3 shoes at all. This was addressed at some point in the comments on the site (on the page that shows just the body), but even 1/6 shoes are too big.

Edit to add: I keep forgetting to ask, but can anyone link me to good full-body measurements for these girls? I feel like I'm missing something obvious.

 

@rianne ah damnit OTL here I was all excited to be able to buy boots for her xD Well, seems she'll be totally custom only for her outfit, serves me right XD

 

rianne, did you order a doll with face-up or a blank doll? Maybe I was lucky and they just happened to have my girl in stock, or maybe they just cover themselves - I was surprised how quickly Serenade sent out my doll!

@Roterwolkenvogel, those high heel feet are gorgeous but so tiny, I ordered their DIY shoe bases and hop I'll be able to do something with them, LOL
But for anyone using the flat feet I highly recommend sumommo on etsy, her shoes for unoa fit the Serenade flat feet perfectly, even when wearing stockings.I'll post a photo later

@pianissimo Ahh, thanks for the tip about the shoes! I ordered my girl blank since I want to paint her myself. :3 Hopefully that will speed things along.

 

Did anyone get the rabbit head???

 

So, I just got a shipping notice for my girl O_O and @Chehime I got the rabbit head. :3 I'm excited to see it in person.

Ok, now to flail around a bit. I was not expecting her so soon!

Wow, that is quick! - it makes me want to order one right now! XD The quickest wait I've ever had for a doll has been 2-3 weeks for a blank Iplehouse girl and it completely caught me off guard when the shipping notice arrived. I love speedy dolls
I'm so glad to see Serenade Doll seems to be sorting out the problems they were having before. I wish they'd add the other clothing items to their website that have appeared in photos, like the trousers and the boots - I love the yellow pair.

Lucky!!!! I wanted that head so bad but honestly- the way they sold it was so weird! I mean who needs $280 worth of leg and hand parts?!?!

@Zaliayn This is just crazy fast. I was all set to wait two months or so. It's just as well since I really want to take summer photos with her though. This does seem to be a good time if you were thinking of ordering...

@Chehime Yeah, apparently it's a kind of lottery thing now. I'm interested to see it in person and maybe do some photoshoots. It's uncanny but beautifully sculpted.

Does anyone know if only the rabbit head os on a faceplate system?

 

A lottery? What? They planned that whole thing really badly.

 

I believe you can buy only the rabbit head. It's list at their taobao shop for $558 RMB (~$85 USD). Maybe you should try contact them if you really want it.
