Congrats on your bunny's arrival @Abell!! What a happy new year for you!

I use crochet hooks, but any slim and sturdy object that can be slipped between the elastic can help, to keep the elastic and hooks from slinking away when I have trouble with putting the hands on. I haven't needed to do that yet with my girl, but it helps give me more time to put on stubborn hands. If I had another set of hands in the house I would record a little video of how I change her hands for you.

 

oh but Nightcandle, there is no elastic and no hook at all, nor at the wrists nor at the hands, this is why it's so strange. I'm used to change hands for other BJD, but I have never ever seen something like this. It's night right now, but I will take photos to morrow to show you.
Yes you'r right, it's a great happy new year for me ! you should see how elegant she is with her Haute Couture black veste, a chef d'œuvre I would say, but helas, as I said, the long pants would suit a Doll Château may be, but definitely not her ^^

lol guess what ? they had attached false long "hands" (looks like a kind of flat stick), and when I pulled it hard ... I could see they were attached to the real wrists lol so now, all what I have to do is to take those long flat 'sticks" away and attached some of my real hands !
Honnestly, I have never seen such system before lol

Ahhh you meant the nubs Abell! Those are to help you dress the doll should the sleeves be super tight or so that you don't have to fiddle with the hands! I love those things, I use them on all my dolls now when I redress them

 

yep ! it's a great idea, because the hands do not get into the so slim sleeves of the black veste

Something arrived in the mail today (finally!! only 13 days in transit!) and for some reason Nadezhda is impatient to see it opened......



(It's her girlfriend Danica!! Who doesn't belong to me, so I can't open her fml. Gotta wait for my girlfriend to get home now!)

I'm completely smitten with the rabbit, but I'm not sure if I want her till I see more owner pictures but I've had such a hard time finding any!

 

Yes I am a little late, but will take some this w.e. I adore her, did not expect her to be so classy, may be it's because she is pure white, I'm not sure I would have like her in a darker color, white rabbit is a plus

Suddenly received my cyber-legs today! also got head-piece and armor as present O_o
(sad part, that i also bought hands and now clearly see yellowing on my girl.. hands are much more whiter (even with some pink tone). since it's forbidden to post more than 2 photos i leave 1 photo here. and plus 4 photos you can find on my flickr

oh the color of the hands is so different !! that scare me a lot ! what color of skin was it ? Seems my white rabbit is going to sleep most of the time in his box, I do not want him to yellow ! for how long have you had your girl ?

what about hands.. i'll try to leave it for couple days on sill or table near the window....
i've ordered white color since Hanmei is also in WS (not pure white). i received her almost one year ago (27 Jan 2016)

 

One year only ?! did you MC her when she arrived ? I have been told it helps the resine to yelow less, so I am busy right now with MC head and body, hands too.
I hope a couple of day under day light will help, but I would say you might need more than that.
One never know how their resine will react with "new" factories, that's the problem. I've received a second Blossom white body last year and it was the same white than the one I had bought more than a year before it, also the girl had been exposed a lot.

Question for those of you that have received gifts from Serenade, I got The Emperor (after a year+ wait) and gift is written on the waybill and invoice, but I just received the doll with her things, does Serenade mark gifts on their shipping labels?

 

Usually all doll companies mark their dolls as 'gift' to help them slip through customs. It does not usually indicate that there is a gift included.

i received my cyber-legs with "gift" in description, but it was made for custom service i guess.
my gift from Serenade with horns and armor wasn't listed on site (or inside my order) and was completely surprise for me

 

I'm so jealous of people I read/hear about getting free gifts from SerenadeDoll... I didn't get any free gifts, in fact I didn't get something I ordered and paid for... twice... before eventually just getting a refund because they wouldn't just ship it to me by itself... ==;; (it was a set of black lingerie)

I love Serenade Doll and my girl is my *love* but that was messed up tbh.

 

Honestly I don't get the gift policy either... I mean I ended up with a pair of antlers AND the nightgown set and I just ordered a non-limited doll
