1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Serendipity Mini including Sharmin discussion thread

Feb 21, 2005

    1. Feh, I feared as such. -_-;; Well, now I get to explore the wonders of sueding and wiring and sanding. My little girl's gonna be a work-in-progress all her life, I think.

    2. It might depend on how old your sharmin is though? My Sharmin is actually one of the "newer" batches and her resin is very white and pinkish. The older ones are much more yellow..hrm. :[

      I may buy a new Freyja body to see if it would actually match. Even if it didn't a little blushing would help cover it.

    3. You have a point... I got one of the very first, so she's really yellow. :\ I still suspect that the new resin will be too light, though.

      On the other hand, Serendipity's started selling the ISMY body seperately, in "normal" and "peach" skintones. Maybe this will turn out to be a good match!

    4. In Korea, Serendipity is offering body-exchange. What you do is, you send your old Sharmin/Alice/Noel/other old version bodies to them, along with 140,000 won (around $140+), and they make you a new body, the ISMY 3 jointed one to the closest color they can match with the old body. Id you send the head too then they'll sand the head to fit the new body better.

      I don't know if they're doing this offer internationally, but maybe you can try e-mailing them and asking them about it. It will cost you a lot more for shippings though, but good luck! :]

    5. When I had my old serendipidy body, i ended up switching out her torso and hands for unoa ones. It made her alot more posable XD

    6. I have looked, but I have yet to have found a thread about this (if you found it, please let me know! ^___^)

      I'm about to buy a Serendipity Sharmin doll and due to her small size, I have a question:

      Is Sharmin able to wear average MSD-size clothing due to her small size? I've noticed they've made a special section for clothing just for her, but MSD clothing would be much easier to find.

      Here's a list of measurements:
      * height : 42cm
      * Circumference of Head : 7inch
      * Circumference of chest : 16.2cm
      * Circumference of waist : 12.2cm
      * Circumference of hips : 18.8cm
      * Circumference of wrist : 5cm
      * Circumference of ankle : 6cm
      * Lenth of arm : 12.7cm
      * Lenth of "from waist to the end of foot" : 19cm
      * eye size : 10mm - 12mm
      * Foot size : 6cm
      * wig size : 7 inch

      Thanks! If anyone can help, I'd be very appreciative. ^_^

    7. She appears to be thinner than MSD dolls, more of a Unoa mini Fee size. In which case she can wear Mini Fee clothes. Check the measurements with the Luts site.

    8. MSD clothes would be a bit baggy on her. If you don't mind the bagginess that it should be okay. Otherwise Minifee clothes do fit and I have seen Friends2bMade clothes fit Sharmin sized dolls well and their clothes are fairly cheap ^^

    9. Thanks a lot. ^___^
      I would've never have thought of those. <3<3
      I suppose I'll only buy MSD clothing if it is for a baggy outfit.
      Again, thanks much!!

    10. The Teen Trends clothes also fit pretty well -- you can get them at Target, Walmart or Toys-r-Us.

    11. How great, stores that are close by. ^___^
      Which means: no freaking out over shipping. (I often get impatient)

    12. what about buying sharmin clothes online and not too expensive?

    13. clothes for Unoa and Narae will be perfect for her :)

    14. Well, I didn't mind buying the Sharmin clothing, it's just that there isn't too much of a selection.

      And I didn't even think of checking out the Unoa and Narae clothing.

      Thanks a lot, everyone! ^___^

    15. Yes, anything that is labeled for fitting MNF, Unoa, Narea will fit her.

      I would suggest against buying anything made for MSD, unless it was adjustible in the chest/waist/hips area (like a dress with a corset). Most clothes meant for MSD will be very large on her, shoes as well. She's very petite!

      Gratz on finally going to get your girl! Sharmins are adorable, I'm sure you'll love her. ^_^

    16. Actually, Narae and Unoa clothes are also sometimes too big, or just ill fitting because while they're the same proportion, Unoa and Narae are more curvy, and have slightly longer legs.... I'm not saying you shouldn't buy anything unoa sized for your sharmin, just stay away from Unoa Large bust-fitting tops (unless you can alter them), and really fitted pants.

    17. Thanks a lot for the advice! ^___^
      Dollmore's currently processing my order. <3<3 Can't wait!
      I'll just have to be very careful of what I'm ordering for clothing.
      The advice helped loads! o___o

    18. Many of the Tonner girls clothes fit Sharmin, also some of the Franklin Mint outfits (especially Elizabeth Taylor's) fit, if you're looking for a vintage or contemporary look. The only difficulty with Tonner's things are the sleeves--they aren't long enough in the length for Sharmin, and some may be too tight. Tyler's pants fit her great, though. My ALice has loads of Tonner things. Shoes-wise--meh. Teen Trends and some specialty shoes are about all. I got the French shoes from Kemper at audreysdolls.com as well as several from ebay.

    19. lol sorry it was a question not a command!

      it's just I'm also looking for Sharmin sized clothes and all the suggestions are for american doll clothes, and I live in england

    20. Ooo, yes, I was actually looking for some vintage clothing. ^__^ Thanks for the idea. :D

      Many of these doll things have websites, so it is most likely that they ship internationally to England. ^__^

      Dollmore sells Sharmin doll clothing if that's specifically what you're looking for.
