1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Serendipity Mini including Sharmin discussion thread

Feb 21, 2005

    1. I still have my Sharmin and Alice that I brought from Serendipity in the beginning of 2005. They truly were the first slimmini other than Unoa. The resin has aged very well and is still more creamy than yellow. Both my girls have their original faces and I sometimes think about getting them 'updated' but can't bring myself to do it. It is a pity they aren't seen around much anymore.

    2. From the photos I've seen, I find the original face ups the company did were very sweet and gentle in their simplicity. Even beyond the sculpt itself, the faceup gives a nice little window into a specific moment of bjd past.

    3. I have a Nightmare Sharmin (bought secondhand) and an Avowal Alice (bought direct, I think form Dollmore but it's been awhile).

Sadly through aging my Sharmin's other ears are less yellowed than she is despite her being in a box for years (I've been away from the hobby for awhile and life also didn't let me have my collection out on display). I was packing for moving and checked on her when I noticed this.

I'd love to have a basic version of Sharmin to customise more as I don't really want to wipe the default faceup. I am tempted to get my Avowal Alice's face changed but again I have the same issue in which I'm just not sure if I want to do it. Argh!

    4. Judging from the photo, I would guess your Sharmin is NS, as she looks pretty similar in colour to my Sharmin, Rhee, who is NS as well. Here's another phone photo for comparison:

    5. Does anyone have their Sharmin on a different body? I managed to get a basic Sharmin that I would love to customise, but was wondering about using a different body for better poseability.

    6. I know this was over a year ago, but yes, I have a Sharmin head on a Mythdoll Yue body. There are many resin matches and blushing does a lot.
