ShinyDOLL [Fragille] Information and Discussion

thanks puffin and ravendolls! This girl told me her name, so I'm done for...she's "Tia" and she's staying. (And, she looks awesome in the turquoise ruffled shorts...with chunky brown Dollheart boots, a Kish turquoise striped top and Swan20 stockings!)

puffin, Denver Doll has a Leeke "grab bag" wig deal going on right now. 3 Leeke wigs for $35 plus shipping. The wig on Hikali came in one of my grab bags. It's gorgeous! My mom and I both ordered some of the bags, and we both got a two tone turquoise and black/dark gray wig in Akali's size as well. LOL, mom is popping the turquoise and black on her Akali tomorrow!
Mom and I have both received wigs that are all "custom" colors. They are all two toned, mostly with a "normal" color, and a pink or lavender or turquoise, but so far, one of 3 wigs is tone on tone "normal" colors. I have 2 more grab bags coming at the end of this week, and if they are as nice as my last two, I'll snag some more before they sell out!

morelle, I hope you are loving your Eefee as much as I love mine! She is my constant companion, and without a doubt, my favorite girl! There is just something really special about that one!

 

Wally, you and Raven are so encouraging I'll be zooming on over to DDE tomorrow. Been working on a little wig for Meefa or is it Eefee... big ears one. Akali ....until I bond, she is in the corner...I tried eyes, wigs, etsl.
If I never saw Issen's... this wouldn't have happened.

I haven't received her yet wally. I have to order her body too. I've decided to get the LeekeWorld N type design full body blushing in metal. Being of white resin, my eefee has told me that she is a winter faerie. She isn't even here yet and she is talking to me already!! "Extrasensory perception?" It will take some time to get my eefee together. But if this body is as wonderful as the LeekeWorld Florence art body is, then I have a feeling that my eefee may be nakid for a while. I am head over heels in love with these bodies!!

 

I've really, really been wanting a Meefa... All I can see is delicate veinwork inside those beautiful ears, masked by subtle translucent color...

In recent news, Arden has a new wig! Do you guys like her better with this one or her old white one?

 

Rykaan, Arden looks great in both wigs but I live the subtle color in the new one. The white one is a bit more modern. The new one more romantic (not sure that's quite the word I'm searching for but it's close).

 

duh, (forehead smack!) of course, you and I will probably be getting our girls back around the same time! I'm sure we'll be spamming them here soon! (Without a doubt, Eefee is the most magical sculpt I have seen, my girl talks to me no matter where I am!...although, she's normally with me...lol!).

I love her in both! Tatu nailed it, the longer one is more "romantic", the shorter one more modern.
I find it difficult to get by with just one Hikali, they're so versatile!!!

Here's my Tia in the turquoise shorts she couldn't wait to try on...she's asking to try the Zolala harem pants next!!!

 

She is gorgeous Wally! (as I drool all over my keyboard) Love the hair with the outfit. Great combo! Where did the outfit come from? Do you sell/make these?

 

Tia is so cute! I can't wait to get my own Hikali home. Payday can't get here fast enough! I've also got funds set aside in my "dolly spa" jar for a faceup. I want her to look similar to my Akali but younger and not so serious.

None of the items are made or sold by me, they're all mix and match from different companies and some non-bjd dolls. My Tia is so much fun to dress, I'm having a great time pulling things out of the doll closet, and trying things together that no-one else here would consider wearing (and buying more, of course)! I love dressing this girl!

Tia and I put this hot mess together today! A mix of Unoa, Yo, MSD, and boy "action figure" sized goods, has my girl looking spiffy!

I worked on a pair of lambskin shorts for my Hikali today, remade the pattern and the shorts 3 times. The last pair look adorable on her! Figured I'd post the pattern on the free patterns page on my site and was feeling quite pleased with myself.
Then, I went to sit her down. Gosh darnit, she can't sit in lambskin shorts!!

 

Well that's a shame, and you were quite excited about them Wally. That's OK though, I bet your Hikali won't mind standing and showing off such a great pair of shorts. Can't wait to see them.

Thanks Wally and Tatu for your opinions! I've decided to keep Arden in the blonde mohair wig. Wally, Tia is simply precious! I absolutely adore everything about her: faceup, wig, styling... she's really got a lot of personality!

 

Opinions needed!!
The body that I wanted to get for the eefee head is the LeekeWorld N type design body. I don't know if I'm allowed to post the link so this message so it may get bumped off. Anyway, it's a gorgeous "art" type body with an immature bust and wide hips. I am going to get it in the snow skin with the full metal body blushing. My concern is that with the Leekeworld Reika head the body measures 44cm. What is your opinion on the fit with the eefee head? I don't care for the smaller heads the companies put on such a tall body, so I'm thinking that the fit would work. What do you think?

Eefee is an SD sized head, though a bit on the small side. I think she'd look bobble headed, but I like my dolls to be a little more proportionate. Do you know the neck measurements of the Leeke body? You might have to mod the neck of the body or the neck hole of the head to make it fit without gaping. Maybe you can post a picture request thread of that body w/ an SD head on it to make sure you like the look.

 

LOL, yes, Shin-san, Hikali's certainly do all have different characters...which is difficult, because I want ALL of them!!! I have to say, there is not a Hikali I don't think is just adorable!

 

Denver Doll has some Boneka items on sale that fit our Fragille's well! The "rhumba skirt" and tennis shoes that fit 14" Kish arrived today and fit great! Tennies need thin socks, skirt falls low on the waist, but both items look adorable on my Fragille girls! I'll post pics on the "what fits" thread when I get a chance!
