1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Simply Divine Discussion - Part 2

May 10, 2016

    1. Sorry to bump the thread here. I've not been involved in the bjd hobby for well over four years and was finally thinking of returning to it. I was considering saving up for the Thomas head and saw someone have theirs on what looked like a Doll Chateau body, which I was aiming for as I wanted my version of Thomas to be thin. However, I had some questions, if anyone knew, as far as resin matching. Would Doll Chateau white resin be too white for the Simply Divine's white resin?

    2. Doll Chateau and DollZone changed up their resin, it's no longer paper white, it's more of a pinkish, creamy off-white. Simply Divine white is pretty Mighty White

    4. I can't tell if that's a B&W picture or if Lucien himself is gray-scale, it's a really great effect either way!:thumbup:D

    5. He's gray xD I splattered his body with some blueish gray. edited the photo, he's got some purples and blues to his gray xD
      Thank you <3 <3 <3 <3

    8. I've tried to look around, but had no luck with searching. I have a Nkiru in the Nutmeg (darker tan) arriving. I know the colors were originally set to match Dollshe, but with Dollshe saying they're discontinuing the larger lines, is there another company that would both be a good match and sell just a body? Thanks!

Oops, sorry, hit a wrong button. My Mr. Nameless is the West Nile Christopher in white, on a white DC body. There's a little bit of difference, but if you're going to blush him, you should be fine. Going to try to add a photo here, please bear with me if it takes me a bit, lol!

    12. Thank you, @AubreyMeeksArt! I am super pleased with the new hair- I was worried but ended up I had no reason to be! He looks more complete now, I feel.

    13. Hi!
So after spending ages admiring all the gorgeous sculpts from Simply Divine I've finally caved in and bought one! Harlequin in Venetian Luna Magnolia. I'd love to put him on a DollsTown 18 years body, but right now money is very tight and space for a new big body is even tighter, so for now he'll be sharing my RingDoll body. So quick question for all of you with a Harlequin, while I do intend on making him a wig, I do want him to wear others too, so I'd love to know his head size. And I'm guessing 14 mm small iris eyes would fit him too?

    14. Congrats he is beautiful!
I'm not too sure but I believe he has a 9-10 size for wigs. I know 8-9 are a bit too tight. Mine has 12 mm eyes in but they do gap a little bit so a small iris 14 will be just fine. :)

    15. Congratulations, @Quiet and Insane ! I love my Harlequin, he's truly a work of art <3

It's my experience that the Harlequin head has a very oddly shaped head. Most sculpts have a high forehead and a lot of cranium, so to speak, while the Harlequin sculpt has a very flat head xD So most of my wigs have fitted him weirdly. Right now I'm waiting on fibers to give him an undercut instead. I think my point is that wigs with soft caps works the best for that oddly shaped head xD

I've got 13 mm eyeco eyes in my Harlequin, which I feel fit him nicely. Not too stare-y and not too dolly-eyed.

Sorry, all I have of him is this latest photo from my Instagram story xD I haven't had time to snap some serious photos due to work. Nikolai Pasha (Simply Divine Harlequin in ... the darker resin, I can't remember the name... sorry xD). I have him on the old(?) Dragondoll Uncle body, which I think fits fine. It gives the same feeling as the Dollstown 18yr body, with the broad shoulders. Sure, it's not as pretty as the DT body, but he has a REALLY nice belly (and cutest belly button! xD)

    16. Omg....so in love!!! He’s beautiful!

    17. Oh thank you! He will be happy to hear it!

    18. I need a dolly sleep over with him...for reasons....

    19. Oh, Mal is happy to oblige! As long as you don't expect too much actual sleep.

    20. @AllyCat - 9-10" I had thought that might be the case. Thanks so much for that. And 14 mm SI it is! Brilliant...oh boy do I have ideas! :D

@indigoparaflax - Yes I've loved watching you work him on Instagram, he looks so cool! :D (All your dolls do really. :whee:) Ok I'll keep that in mind when buying wigs. Ideally I'd like my guy to have a collection of varying styles and colours but there's a few that I'll be making myself regardless. I quite enjoy wig making. Thank you very much for that! Ooh and Eyeco you say? There's a few colours there I've been wanting to buy for a while...excellent. :evilplot: Hehehe, I really like the belly on the DT 18 body...and the fact he'll be the tallest of my whole crew.
