Sio2 Dolls

I would say yes? He's definitely slim. His upper body is actually about as big as my YoSDs, just quite a bit longer. I should've compared him to my MSDs but I jumped straight to "Well he's probably the same size in the shoulders as my Yo honestly"
Also, the hands we mostly saw on his big promo image are the splayed ones, those are the extra ones. The set on him are less splayed and well, came already on him.

I even put him my YoSD's little shirt just to see how it is. I could totally pull out the YoSD clothes and see if a majority of them fit, at least in the chest. The lengths would likely be short for this guy haha.
I ended up trying to figure out which antlers I wanted to use, and somehow get the hair on him, rather than messing with any clothes.

If I don't come up with a name for him soon he'll be the 3rd doll to keep his sculpt name as their name rofl. I might consider making him into a centaur race a friend and I came up with that have either flowers or mushrooms growing on their heads and backs but thinking about it, it'd mean I have to put magnets in the centaur half on his back and I have no idea how annoying that will be and even more on his head and I'm already struggling with the current ones...
His massive head magnets have already been a pain in the arse because super glue dries faster than I can put the magnet in apparently. Man I wish those magnets had been pre-installed. OTL


I added some small magnets to his wig for the sake of keeping it together and not fighting with any kind of sticky tack, it creates a very small gap but it really isn't noticeable because it's the underside of the wig. I just have to find even smaller magnets for the bangs to do the same thing with or just suffer with the putty.
On the subject of his wig the back part of the hair replaces his headcap so any glueing of his larger magnets for the antlers should be done on the face/head part if you intend to use the wig.
Also I believe the wig makes the bigger antlers sit very loosely because of how thick the resin is, so bumping him will probably knock his bigger antlers right off. Maybe some hot glue to the base of the antlers will keep them from rotating out of position because of their own weight.
I can't say for sure though because the magnet fell right out after I attempted to glue it because I'm awful at installing them.

 

Congrats on him finally arriving! Love the unboxing thread as well and wow Sio2's packaging for this guy is amazing! I totally didn't expect to see a freaking suitcase! The little gifts were also a nice surprise!

 

@Nattou yeah, magnets are evil! They are great when they work, but a real pain when they don't. Eye putty is a great substitute, but it too has its issues, lol. Enjoyed your box opening too!

So I've been actively trying to secure Burmilla's extra set of hands and I found someone who only wanted the body after over a week I found someone who was willing to buy just the head. So I went back to the first person to let her know and if agreed to the price set for the head and hands.

She told me that apparently she is just going to wait until Burmilla comes out to the artist's Taobao store since she assumes it will be cheaper there ($250-300) and that she changed her mind and wanted the entire set instead of just the body. She told me that Burmilla would be in the TaoBao after international sales are over as the artist decided to release Burmilla international first.

I asked where she got the info and apparently there's a QQ (Chinese Messenger) Group where the artist mentioned it. I'm not 100% sure if this is true though since I'm not part of that QQ group.

Anyways, I guess if anyone is in that QQ group maybe you can double check and if not then for those who can't get Burmilla in the international time frame then maybe you can get it later if she really is going to be on TaoBao later....

I heard that too! I am a Chinese and I am also waiting for Burmilla taobao releasing after international orders But one of my doll friend (she seems in that group) told me that burmilla will only have human version and they dont come with any resin wig or hands....I am pretty struggling I know the taobao one will be cheaper for me, but i have a ragdoll (my profile photo) and I really want the puppet cat burmilla to be her sistersorry my english is not good

So cute! I want more photos of her XD haha! Yes Burmilla is first official sale by the artist but sites like Stacy's Pink Ocean and Crystal can sometimes sell Sio2 but it is more expensive than from Sio2 directly.

 

I feel slightly guilty to wait to get Burmilla from a proxy... but when the difference in money is so big :'< I want to support them and their trials with international sales but my wallet can't...

I understand. I'm kind of in a similar situation, actually...At least you are purchasing the doll from the artist, so you are still supporting the artist through a direct purchase. f you can happily afford to buy the international version I'd understand going for it, but not everyone has the same cash. Like, for people in countries with poor exchange rates, students, lower familial socioeconomic status, money troubles etc. So it's like, if you only have 400 when your favourite artist offers the interntional doll for 500, you'll wait to buy the doll for 350! If you have 1000, then you can buy the 500 doll!
But yeah, I can understand worrying about the international orders being a continuing item.

Anyways, I too, am waiting for the horned doll! Gosh, she is so adorable...! Love the teeth!
Keep an eye out for the auctions Sio2 announces on twitter. They seem to be especially likely during the holidays, like with the Christmas and Halloween Ragdoll fullsets, and the entire Ragdoll series to date being sold there over two weeks or so recently, So, if anyone wants a fullset of previous and limited releases, you might want to follow them for auction announcements! I also found one Ragdoll on taobao secondhand from the dealer at one point.

Anyways, what are your plans for your dolls? Want to discuss? I'm really into a beautiful silvery princes theme for the horned girl, if I get her!

 

Awww...I hope I'm not the only person who has taken the plunge for Burmilla from the international sale! The extra hand parts got me; I also recently decided to change my order from the human body to the ragdoll body (couldn't resist those kitty feet)! Kind of tempted to switch Lipstick's head onto Burmilla's body when I get them both. I think Lipstick would make a cute bunny or kitty girl!

I haven't made any concrete plans aside from that. I keep thinking about what clothes to get for them, and while I've got plenty of Kikipop/Azone Pure Neemo clothes that should fit on the top, the booty, legs and feet remain a mystery. I've seen pics on Sio2's weibo of Ragdoll/Burmilla wearing cute overalls. I wonder if they are yosd sized? Of all my dolls, I regret that I own no yosd tinies at all to be able to tell!

@Dreamllian , welcome to the thread! I think Ragdoll is only rare in the international market because not a lot of people know much about Sio2! I think a lot of doll owners here own Bleater and Sivet Cat, but for some reason, there aren't a lot of Ragdolls floating around (or if there are, the owners don't post much). I didn't find out about Ragdoll until the order period was long over. I had actually been taking a break from the resin hobby, but finding Sio2 has rekindled my interest! I can't wait to see what new dolls Sio2 creates in the future.

Thank you!I wish they could release Bleater again....but they ususally just release every doll once.... cat is the second time if i remember correctly. SIO2 is pretty famous in China, I think they need to do more sharing on different channel. I love their small cutie! but Ikeep eyes on their big dolls~ Bailu and taolu are my dream doll too XD

 

Yea I wish they had a permanent line or re-releases cause I want a Bleater as well >__< Everytime I find someone selling, it's quite expensive so I haven't been able to get him yet

 

Oh, I've recently fallen in love with Peach Deer; the head has such a beautiful dreamy look! I hope Sio2 keeps designing both big dolls and small- though the absolute dream would be if they sculpted a 60cm head and body!

I had no idea that Bleater and Sivet Cat were so rare! Now I kind of regret passing up on the kitty. I didn't realize they wouldn't be released again.

 

I'm not sure if they will be re-released again or not but they seem to get more popular and more people have been wanting them and since they're harder to obtain outside of Asia the demand is more than the secondhand market.

Also I think Sio2 has made three 1/3 heads: Cold Dew, White Dew, Peach Deer. Is there a photo of all three of these heads? I love how they look!

My friend told me they are going to release the new 1/3 doll soon! I am so excited! But they has pretty long time before the actual releasing, corss my finger~!

 

Sio 2 dolls are so lovely fell in love since i saw a Bleater for the first time, and i adore the ragdoll size ones. i have sent an order in for a Burmilla with their international sale. i dont have the courage to try taobao i am very existed, i regretted not getting the original Ragdoll and feel like i will regret letting Burmilla pass too.

 

So the person I know who's in the QQ group asked the group about the hands/wig/ragdoll body and she said she asked Sio2 and the reply is that everything is undecided yet until the release date so we just gotta cross our fingers for extra parts!
