I just sent off my order for a Civet Cat pre-order and I just can't wait! I'm crazy about all the Sio2 dolls so far, and can't wait to see who else they create!
hi guys i do have a question, how did you do for the sheep wobbling head or parts ? did you hot glued any parts? if yes could you explain me how?
I hot glue sueded my Bleater so he would pose better, including the neck joint. You just pull the joints apart, then use the hot glue gun to put a thin layer of hot glue on the concave joint, using the tip of the glue gun or a piece or card to spread it around the joint (avoiding the elastic hole). There's plenty of visual tutorials on this as well. Since Bleater is so small it might be a little tricky, but it's possible!
I haven't done it myself but I know other Bleater owners have hot glues and/or also done sueding bjd joints to keep it's head up right.

Guys! Sio2's made new resin hair for Ragdoll heads! There's two new hair sculpts with two new styles of ear/tails, actually. I wonder if they'll be released? I really love this one, but I personally don't quite know how they'd be sold, so I don't think they will be, myself, though I'm secretly hoping that they'll be offered with a new doll... from what I recall though, some of the dolls sold via conventions had resin hairstyles that were, at the time, not officially sold online. Anyways, this picture is adorable! (it's from sio2's twitter)
I'd get that one in a heartbeat! So cute! Yeah, that is sad it's not a release. Well, I'll just keep an eye on future releases.
Sadly, Sio2 mentioned on facebook that these parts were a private commission for a customer and they would not be resold. Someone asked how much it costs to commission her for parts and she just said "very expensive." Kind of sad, because they are so cute.
Yeah i was in that fb group too. There are so much step and creating a brand new stuff if the quantity not reach a certain amount, it's gonna be expensive.
Awww, that's too bad 'cause that hair style is super cute! BTW Sorry to ask a dumb question but which heads has she released for Ragdoll bodies? I've heard names like Burmilla, Aoandon and Lipstick. But I don't think I've seen pics of Lipstick. Also, I'm a bit confused about Burmilla. In some photos, she is smiling and in others, she looks grumpy. Or am I mistaken her for another sculpt?
Those are all the heads that have been released, yes. It goes Ragdoll (+Ragdoll Astonished), Lipstick, Burmilla, then Aoandon. Ragdoll is smiling with a closed mouth, and has wide eyes that are ever-so-slightly down-turned at the outer corners. Ragdoll also has an "astonished" version, which has the same eyes but a small "o" shaped mouth. Lipstick has more narrow eyes (sort of almond-shaped?) and an open mouth with teeth, that is down-turned at the corners often giving her a grumpy or aloof expression. Burmilla has wide eyes like Ragdoll, but they are not down-turned at the corners, and Burmilla also has a more relaxed/neutral mouth. Due to the neutral sculpting, this might mean that certain faceups can make the sculpt look like it has a more happy or grumpy expression etc, though you might have been seeing pictures of Lipstick instead for the grumpy ones? Depends if the mouth is open or not, although I have seen faceups which make the sculpts with closed mouths look open and have teeth painted on etc, so it would then a little more tricky to determine (though if the teeth are not sculpted and just painted you can still tell which sculpt it's meant to be). Aoandon is pretty obvious as it's the only one with horns lol (you probably know that already haha). Apologies for the verbal descriptions, but hopefully this is some help to you? :v
A friend and I got our civet cats the other week and had a fun day of painting them up, the very pink one in my profile pic is mine~ Temporarily using oil slick pearls for eyes but it looks pretty cool so I've left it as is until I can find some other eyes I like! I really want a bleater and a rag doll but alas my bank balance won't allow that for now. (edited out the photo, whoops, didn't realise they were off topic!)
