Soom Idealian 51 Discussion

I'd love to see your's! All your dolls seem to be so well done.

 

Ooo, can't wait to see! I bought a suit for mine yesterday from Cheerydoll; I hope it fits.

Edit: I hope someone who has received their Cuba will post in the opening thread so we can see more photos. I'm sure it will be next week or maybe the next, because of the holiday in Asia, that my guy will arrive.

 

Cuba looked like "a kid" in the pictures at Soom, but he's not really all baby-faced. I'm happy.

Now, if I can get his hands & feet on him without his trying to cut off my fingers today, I'll be happier still.

 

TADA~ I even gave him a face-up and it turned out okay! I am proud. It was really cold today- well cold for Nor Cal.

For size comparison and stuff. He's wearing 60cm clothes. The sleeves on the coat are a little long and wide, so i just pushed them over his elbows. :3

I think Cuba looks gorgeous from the owner photos! Soom did a good job with the company pics, but I think the fans are doing a better job showcasing his true beauty!

My Cuba isn't going to get home for a really long while since he's still on layaway. The pictures are keeping my spirits up though! I can't wait to pay off my boy! >___<

 

He's just great! Thanks for posting; I love the striped pants (tights?)! I've been wishing for some similar ones for my EID guy after seeing a painting of a man wearing striped hosiery at the museum in my town.

 

Whoa, those pants look great on him! I love the blue wig and the dramatic face-up too-- gorgeous guy. Man, also his legs look really nice in those pants. Soom, great job with sculpting these guys. Now if only there were some Idealian51 girls too... : ) I thin he looks great with your Lagoon and Unoa!

 

I'm so excited; my Cuba has shipped! I really hope he will look good with my girl (Bambicrony Isabelle) so I can stop my crazy year-long search for the perfect man for her. It came down to a toss-up between Idealian51 and Souldoll Vito, so I will know soon if I chose the right one.

Also, here's a comparison shot with my doll family. Iplehouse Tania, Narae43 and Dollzone Mo. The DZ head definitely looks too big but the Narae looks rather nice Ken (my Cuba) doesn't have hair yet so I stripped the rest of the dolls of their wigs to be fair :--D His head looks rather small compared but I think the wig will help with that, at least a bit.


I don't like how his face-up turned out so I'll make new one soon... I also need to get him 10mm eyes for more realistic look, I think the 12mm he currently has are a bit too big to my tastes.

 

Other than his head, his proportions look good with your Iplehouse mini! Thank you for the comparison shot too.

 

My Bambicrony has a small face, so I hope they will be compatible. We'll find out next week.

Edit: He's here, but his head is quite small compared to my girl doll. I'm a bit disappointed, but he's very detailed and wonderful.

Another edit: Unfortunately, his size means that he fits in nowhere with my existing dolls and will therefore exist in his own world until Soom makes a compatible lady to suit him. I am entirely on board with that although I am also slightly annoyed at the thought that I will now have to haunt the Soom website. Perhaps since they made a girl Idealian 72, they will also make a little one. Since he looks so good in tights (thanks for a great idea, Batchix!), I will have to give some thought to a new name as he will be a gentleman of the renaissance instead of the companion of my 1920's girl.

 

Mine arrived too! I posted up many photos here with comparisons to my other mature minis in the house. Yeah, his head is really small! My Cuba, whose name is Kon, has a face also smaller than his girlfriend-- who is a Minisup Yisol.



Her head is longer and wider than his by quite a bit. I don't know if I can deal with it really, haha. Sadly when both of their wigs are on, her head looks even larger.

Laughing!!! I know. What to do, what to do. I have decided to keep him, as he is gorgeous, albeit, in a totally different scale as I had hoped. I have decided to improvise and hope that at some time or other, his size will catch on and small women will produced in his size. Oh baby, he is really handsome. The only dolls I know of that are even remotely in his scale are Souldoll Vito Lester and Sharic who are also men. Curiously, this situation seems, in my case, to reflect life, as the most handsome men I know (or have ever known, for that matter), were gay. It's not a bad thing. It just is. Where is my gorgeous little Idealian 51 girl???!!!

Edit: Of course, these are the photos I needed to see before I ordered this small man. Even so, as he is lovely and I am resolved to keep him, I have already begun to decide on a name and possible character.

 

Try a sleek, close fitting wig on her and a fluffy fur wig on him!

 

linakauno, the only thing I can think of are Uno-Ane! They're tall, older-looking Unoas that are in-scale with the 1.0's and 1.5's but with slim, model-type bodies. Super different from the Unoa 2.0's and similar to the Unoa Zeroes. I think those girls would look great with these small men, because Uno-Anes have faces that are thinner and longer than Unoa 1.0's and 1.5's! I'm most likely going to keep him too because he's too great to not keep.

Also, your story is cute! : )

I recently asked SOOM about ID51 girls and the said they have no plans, but they will consider it if they receive enough requests... so let's write them asking for mature 51cm idealian women!

 

She's perfect and very beautiful! I'll definitely write to Soom.'

Edit: Wrote to Soom this morning asking for a lady Idealian51. I begged piteously, pointing out how difficult it is to find a perfectly scaled lady for him from other companies, and promised to buy one if they make her.

 

Apokripha - she does look really good for her! I hadn't heard of her before too.

I finished my sunglass guy and I painted him with a really different attitude from the one on the site!

I haven't finished face-up for my guy yet, I'm waiting for his wig & eyes, but there are some problems with the order *sigh*
