soom scares me every time they release a new doll.... iam only now making my second lay away payment from the FCE dolls...i can't fall in love with another guy!!...so far i am safe. if he was an ID72 and completely human, i would probably be tempted LOL. i love the outfit though!
Well, I just ordered a normal skin one (I have said "no more doll before Christmas", but I wait for one of these guys for so long ! :P) I hope Soom will propose some steampunk or victorian outfits for this size in the next months.
Zinc is now Blood Demon and there is a picture inset showing his human ears. Oops! That's Bond Demon! I was working on my little baby laptop!
Anyone else here getting a Zinc Demon? I have started a waitingroom for this handsome boy now. He will be my first doll in this unique size, I'm quite excited now. But looking at all your pictures of ID51 I'm sure I will love him so much!
Hi - doesn't anyone else here have an Aspen? Would love to see some others. So I am gonna show a picture of Lenardo with his new look - just cuz he is such an under-represented ID51 sculpt .....
I have just today picked up my handsome Zinc from customs and unwrapped him. I am quite happy with him, but I have a question to you Idealian 51 owners. The left shoulder socket looks paperthin. Also the joint socket itself is not smooth like the right side but full of grooves. The shoulder joint doesn't seem to click into place easily too on the left side. I tried to capture it on photo, but it's quite hard to see, despite strong contrast. Can you tell me if that is normal for an ID51? I have only an ID72, and he's perfeclty symmetrical and smooth. As it is I'm a bit wary of stringing him because I'm afraid the socket will break. I have the suspician that there wasn't enough resin the mold, but I thought I'd ask here first.
I haven't had that particular joint problem with my London, but I do find the resin to be quite thin in general. That said, I haven't had any issues with it (although it's only been a year and a half), but I've been very cautious with him because I was aware of it.
My Zinc isn't like that at all! His shoulder is normal and smooth. I would send the pictures to Soom. You may need a new shoulder piece.
Thank you for your replies! Well, I saw too that the resin in some parts is really thin, Hervoyel, but somehow this shoulder socket doesn't have a finished look to me. I suspected that, nancy_schroeder_ca, thanks for the confirmation. I just wanted to check with you guys before I bother Soom. I'll post on their board and see what they'll say about this.
It's been months since Soom released Zinc but during their first few years it seemed like a new Idealian51 came out every few months. Soom hasn't changed the vampire girl on its Idealian pages since the Christmas event and there's no word of a new boy in the works. Do you think Soom has finished producing the 51s? I only have one boy and I'd like to add another someday.
After I received my Zinc Demon some days ago, I'm so in love with the ID51 and asked Soom if they plan to release more of them (and if they plan a release of a York in this size, which would be so wonderful). I got their answer now: "We do not have any plan for more releases of York for now... But we will do our best to release more IDealian dolls this year too. Please kindly check our IDealian site from time to time.^^" Well, that sounds promising In the meantime, here is my Zinc Demon:
Soom has so many different lines and I think their ID release schedule couple years ago was a bit aggressive for them and for their customers. Hopefully we'll see another ID51 soon! If we all aask them it will help!
Sadomina thanks for letting us know what Soom said. I'm looking forward to more Id51 sized guys and a girl in that size would be most appreciated. Love your Zinc - he's fabulous. Nancy
... May I ask where everyone is buying shoes for their handsome males? I've been looking, but it's hard ^^°
My London is wearing these JID boy boots from Iple (the laces help the fit) http://iplehouse.com/home/shop/item.php?it_id=1320362980&nhn1=en
