That's great! Can't wait to see him I'm quite nervous about opening up mine when he comes home. I have never had a centaur that big before. Will you be doing a boxopening for your doll?
Hahaha, I am nervous as well... I never had a centauer at all >___< Hmmm, probably not because I don't have a good camera nor skills but maybe I will take some pics when he is out of box.
I understand. Well I have a horrible camera as well. Not very good at taking pictures either. I'll try my best to take some nice pctures though.
Just a quick stopping by to say I just got my Hornblendtaur home I will try to take some better pictures later. He is really beautiful. The head and eyes is a bit smaller than what I'm used to. But I'm starting to really liking the size I decided to call him Jessie. He is wearing a MSD hood t-shirt from Dollmore. It fits but the button back in the neck needs to be sewn on a little lower to allow some more space around the neck. I'm very happy with him so far. Posing him takes some time getting used to. I have him on a dollstand. I don't dare to let him stand by himself. Scared he's gonna fall over
manabusama I also need to take some better pics of him. I got him from custom but I did not have much time for him after that. And he still has no name =____= I just love his body. Such a nice horse body. Don't care if that sounds wrong LOL Well he is pretty stable if the weight is on all the 4 legs. So for photos defenitely ok. Just be careful when posing his front legs tend to slip to the front and his other legs to the back. But when he stands, he stands XD Just experiment a bit and you will get the feeling soon. Maybe watch the hip and shoulder joint of the horse body. There is some kind of cap? Not sure how to describe but depending where this cap he is more or less stable.
Congrats, Sturmhornisse, manabusama, nancy_schroeder_ca! Please share more pics of your amazing Hornblend centaurs, I'm dying to see more !
Mine landed in LA this morning although the USPS tracking isn't updated yet! He might be delivered Monday but it may take longer.
No problem Here is one more picture of Jessie. He is big without being too big I think. Still having some problems posing him. The surface of the floor and my table is quite smooth so his legs slip quite a bit. His hair is way to big (it's KDF size) but at least he wont have to be bald Can't wait to see the other Centaurs
Whoa , thank you manabusama for this treat, he's gorgeous! The proportions of his human vs. horsey parts look great, especially that well-trained hindquarters... I love his hair like this, like a mane. Congratulations again!
Congrats to all who ordered! I can't wait to see more of them and how you will style them. Manabusama: He looks awesome! The blushing is so well done.
Thanks everyone Hope to see more Hornblendtaurs on the thread soon. I'm really curious what style you guys'll choose for your centaurboys
It's nice to see him with his centaur body. The horse part is really well made. I ordered mine in human version and he is quite a piece of doll The head look small compared to the neck (I contacted Soom just to make sure it was normal) but it's not that bad once he has clothes on. Can't wait for his faceup to be finished and get him back home.
Idealian heads are in a more realistic proportion to their bodies. They do look small at first because we are used to large heads on dolls. But I do really like them now!
Hi! I'm not very familiar with SOOM, nor their webpage or the way to order and such things with them. So I wanted to ask here, to see if anyone can give me a quick response: It is possible to buy a separate Idealian 51 body from SOOM? Because I can't find the option on their web. Should I ask them to see if it is possible?
No, they haven't sold the bodies separately. I can't even get them to sell me a replacement head for one that is apparently lost forever. What head were you thinking of putting on this body?
