1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Soom Idealian - Albany – Aviatrix

Sep 23, 2011

    1. Those of you who have received her, have you done any clothing and shoe experiments with this strapping girl?

    2. Thank you, The Dragon, for putting the two threads together. They were very helpful! Also, a question about detail. Is she as detailed as Idealian boys? Does she have fingerprints, for example?

    3. I was wondering the same thing! ;)

    4. @ Anna & Britt7399 — She is quite well detailed, but not to the point of having fingerprints; her fingers are too slender for that. She does however have wrinkles in the skin in her palms and under her feet, and other nice little details like that.
Inside her head, she has the same kind of cranial structure, tongue, and so forth that the boys do; her head is also held in place by the strings looping around a walnut-size brain.

What she does not have is the "eye muscle" mechanism of the male Idealian 72's. Her eyes are entirely dependant on being kept in place with eye putty — which, with the included silicone eyes and plasticine putty, is an exercise in extreme frustration.
The fact that he inside of the head hasn't been cleaned of mould release doesn't make it any easier. I just hope they cleaned it off the outside, before applying the faceup...

    5. Yikes about about the mold release... and, I am a bit disappointed that she's not as detailed as the boys. She's beautiful and I like the overall aesthetic of the body, but what draws me to the Ideliean line are the small details rarely seen in other dolls (fingerprints and eye muscle mechanism, to name a few).

    6. Anyone has picture of Albany next to iplehouse men (height comparison)? either EID or SID :)

    7. Wow...I really, really hate that I just got into this hobby. I'm a huge WWI fan, I really wish I had seen this when it was available. I wonder if anyone else out there makes similar clothes?
