Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. My sister's Gluino is, honestly, drop-dead gorgeous. The hair. I just sit and smooth the hair sometimes. He's really manly, but he has a face that can look really vulnerable. Glaaaaa... he needs an anime/manga/manhwa now!

      Should I cross my fingers that you don't get sucked under in the Volks-pit? I hear they can't hear you scream in there....

    2. I want to say, 'nah, they're plenty easy to haul around!' -- maybe I am getting old or something *shifty-eyes* but Gluino is a heavy sucker. He's got some heft to him, that's for certain. I have him sitting next to a normal SG at the moment, and he makes a normal SG male pretty much look like a thirteen year old boy by comparison. They're big with the bigness.

    4. And plenty tall as well. Anyone have pics of a ID beside a Mecha btw? Besides me? My sister's Gluino could date my Mecha, Dawn, if Dawn wasn't taken. :) I'm looking at him sitting next to an Epidos, and it's a little stunning. He looks like he could put Epidos over his shoulders like a big sheep. Gluino is parked next to Dawn (Soom Saiph) at the moment. I'm trying not to imagine Hyperon sitting with him.... EEP!

    7. Hi, I heard an all-clear was sounded, yay!

      Yah, Gluino's just not wanting me to forget he's there for a moment, so he likes to weigh as much as a large cat. He doesn't squirm as much, but then his wig will come off at inopportune times...I wonder if Hyperon will be the same, as he does seem to continue the trend of Regency wig hair, LOL! ^ ^ I still love the hat though. Hat hair, yea!

    12. Another soom noob question from me:

      Anyone gotten the sanding service before? I've read a horror story once with another company they got the sanding and the company sanded away a lot of the detail (veins) away with the seams...that happened with soom before?

      The only other large doll I have came with the sanding included. (seams don't seem to bother me on the small dolls I have so)

      I feel all dolly newbie again!

    14. ...actually, the roomie should be home some time in the wee hours. It will be a horrible photo, but I might be able to get a lineup of a Mecha, ID, MegaGem, and SuperGem in a line, sitting across a box. (I am tempted to do this for my own amusement as well, admittedly.)

    16. Oh man, so lucky! :D That sounds so cool, Ladyemrys! Me and my sis are pretty tight with some people around here too. It never fails to amaze me that I can be writing someone halfway around the world and have so much in common with them!

      I thought about implementing the plan... and now I want hot chocolate. Can that be in the plan? I have special cocoa, with caramel in it! The mug -- it will be heavy! Yes! It's practice!

      Seriously? I'm in! (It'll save my back if I ever have to straight lift Gluino and Hyperon at the same time.)

    17. I'd be afraid to sand him, to be honest. I could try to get some pics of him to show whether there are veins that might be sanded down, or rubbed out entirely. I'd have to undress Gluino. Poor me!

    18. Soom's sanding seems to be pretty decent, I've never heard of/encountered them sanding off fine details on their dolls, and with an Idealian, that's definitely something to worry about! I didn't get sanding on my Gluino, because (cue drama, LOL!) I really don't mind seams either, even on my big guys.

    20. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him :) I hope they'll offer him in WS as well as NS seeing as it would be rather fitting, IMHO.

      I'm also very curious if they'll do anything with his hand... Only time will tell.
