Well then, apparently I'm the only one who thinks he's every kind of badass 333 Love him! Nnngh that 3rd pic from bottom is killing me ;o;

I'm pleasantly surprised by his sculpt, since I was kinda afraid his face would be too caucasian for that resin colour... but I'm actually getting an ethnic-appropriate vibe outta this sculpt, and I adore that. Or is it just me who is getting that feeling?


... and WOW he's cheaper than I was expecting! $420! Maybe this is affordable for me after all >>;;;

 

My issue with the face -- if you look at the second image from the top... if his eye ended where his iris ends, he'd be perfect to me and I'd already be pressing the order button on a fullset. The eyes are just too wide and it throws everything else off about his face to me.

Edit: RE: the pricing -- it's promising for future dolls in this line, though. So I'm going to keep an eye on it and not rule out other sculpts in this series. Valentina (my Fafner) could use a big, brooding hulk of man. *cough*

 

Good grief. He's a stocky little thing, isn't he? He looks better proportioned than I thought he would, though. He is very handsome. Truly a perfect mini Idealian and I LOVE the outfit and boots, but I think I can pass as of right now. I don't currently need any hobbits or dwarves and I'd have to be in love to add another size to my collection. I am also having a hard time visualizing how he would look in NS.

Of course any future mini Photons or Gluinos could and probably will tempt me beyond all reason.

 

Yeah, I would definitely keep this guy far, far away from the rest of my collection, because I think he would look disturbingly small-headed next to pretty much everyone else XD

But uh, I don't "get" his wig. Is it braided in the front and dreadlocky in the back? Or... are those dreadlocks part of the steampunk hat? oO Can anyone actually tell what's what there?

 

I'm actually fairly in love, too. I thought he'd be yet another Chalco version . . . er, Chalcon? Chalcolite? But I'm actually getting more Euclase from him, plus kind of a manly vibe, too. Must be those lips. He's just got a lot of personality in his face, almost a world-weary shape to his eyes.

But no possible way I can bring him home, for a variety of reasons, so I'll be keeping an eye out for chibi Idealian eye candy later.

GORGEOUS. Wow. Abslutely have no use for this guy, but love him nonetheless. Trying to visualise whether he could look normal-ish beside a msd girl... mmm. He really is something. The wig is amazing, and I LOVE the look of his body/chest.

I'm safe but very intriged by this line and the PRICE!

The concept is fabulous but I'm not too struck by his face personally.

 

I like him, but not enough to buy him. I like the hat and wig though, so if some one ends up doing a split I'd try to get those.

 

Now finally, it all makes sense for me. He is simply an Idealian, Mature MSD scale. So, not an 1/3 doll, but an 1/4. Look at this:


1/3 Scale:

Regular SD ------ 60cm x 3= 1'80 Guy
Idealian SD ------ 70cm x3 = 2'10 Guy

Hence , the idealians represent to be very large and broad guys in the SD world, but they are on scale. Their heads are also smaller and ''realistic'' if compared with classic styles, like volks or older delfs.

1/4 Scale:

Regular male MSD ------ 45cm x 4= 1'80 Guy
New Idealian MSD ------ 51cm x 4 = 2'04 Guy

So basically, this guy is but another Mature Mini; and his proportions belong to those of an Idealian, but in 1/4 scale. I think it is an amazing idea, to released different styles for the Mini collectors; and I still think he would look terrific if sided with other Mature Minis (London + Narae = total win!!). But I think he is basically that: Idealian proportion MSD. If you want to know how would he look with an MSD girl, simply put a regular Idealian besides an SD girl, and there you have it. I guess Pangen might look weird with a Volks Nono, but woudl look wonderful with a Limwha/Supia/Nrae girl

 

If this is the first one, this new line shows a lot of promise, especially for people (like me :B) who loved the Idealian sculpts but they were just too big. Would love to see some owner pictures when this one gets shipped out!

 

Hmmm .... I was expecting a shorter, broader face. Not my guy after all. But he's certainly got pulchritude aplenty.

 

I wish the picture of the body would load for me. Blah.

Ok, he's not *quite* what I was looking for, but close. He'd make an awesome minion for Zaoll if he were what I was thinking from the side -- I don't know whether it's his chin or his lips that are the deal killer for me. But that's not to say that he's not fabulous, because he is!

Does this mean I've finally learned not to jump just because he's there?? O_O

Love the body though, at least what we can see of it. And I agree, the mini-Idealian is an excellent concept. Worth keeping an eye on, for sure!

 

I love this new line. Safe from this guy, but another one...maybe not so much. ^^;
And this size will look perfect by my Rosette! XD

 

I thought I'd be safe 'cause of the odd size, but I'm falling more in love with him with these new pictures. And I love that outfit!

 

so close, I was almost sold! But his head is so small! Why? Also not so fond of how wide his eyes are either. But man everything else is fantastic! I just don't think he'd look right next to my tanned Luv. Her head is bigger than his, and luvs have small heads for SD's to begin with. Too bad. But if sooms 72cm guys come in this resin color, I'm doomed (err... soomed?) for sure!
