Soom Jan MDs: Taco and Dolomi

Oh...They're both neutral. They look like little boys to me, tough.

 

They're adorable! I'm a bit disappointed that they have only human hands (most of their dolls with critter-feet also got critter-hands), and I'd probably find that the tail just gets in the way. But overall I think Soom did an awesome job, and I love the snow blue resin! Though when I look at Taco, I can't help but think what a cute alien s/he'd make. xD

And totally agreeing with midnite on the ears/OE head issue . . . and why not make the sleepy head human sometimes, if they want to make one head human and one fantasy?

 

I'm just the opposite, the dreaming heads are my favorite so no issue here. I like Taco the most, but there's just one problem--I doubt Soom will sell an extra blue body so people are stuck with an extra head; the human one for me as I like the dreaming head more.

 

Is it just me, or do the OE heads look like the Beyla/Bygg OE heads?

 

Awww...I love the blue one.
The first time I will only want the dreaming face with the faceup. ö__ö
Won't get bodyblushing... <.< It's too pricey for me...

 

Yep, the second I saw the OE Taco head my immediate thought was, IT'S BYGG.
I'd rather have that style in blue skin, but definitely feel like I don't need the exact same style head twice!
Maybe I'd just stick with the R.head or something.. hmmm.

 

They're both "neutral" meaning they have no gender. So whoever you want to be the girl, is the girl ^^

 

Same here, I prefer the dreaming heads more than the OE so I'm always
glad that those usually have the fantasy ears etc. Only my Bygg has the
OE head. Honestly many of Sooms TG MDs OE heads look alike because
I think they all have the same eye shape.....but Bygg has an open mouth
with tiny teeth and these OE heads don't.

edit: also these babies don't have any eyelid crease (just a painted line)
and Bygg/Beyla do have lid creases, they look more like Glot/Glati if
anything.

 

The whole blue skin thing is really grabbing me (I already have a Haidi on the way of course!).. but I really can't afford them.
I also think that perhaps I'd rather have the body blushing in more blues to bring out the blue of the body - right now I think the pink blushing is bringing the blue back down to a more grey tone.
Plus if I didn't get the body blushing, I could create a really different look.
A big problem with my collection right now is that there are SO MANY fullset Soom dolls, they all have a very similar look because of the faceup and body blushing. If I got someone else to do it, perhaps I'd get a really different looking doll.

I also think going with the R.head might give me a totally different look - the OE head does look exactly like Bygg to me.
Hmmm.. we'll see!

If I do go for Taco, I have to find the cheapest way to go about it!
Can't wait to see them in the store! I think they'll be in from Friday!

 

I don't see a Bygg/Beyla in the open eyed head, no matter how much I look at it. I think it looks more like a Glati/Glot. o__o But wow, I do like the blue resin and the romantic head, though I'll be opening the eyes a bit on that one. The tail is also very cute but fantasy feet are just not for me. I'm pretty happy with these and I think I'll be ordering Taco soon.

 

I'm disappointed :'( I was hoping for dragon wings at the very least. But that's what save my bank account. I do like them, but for the characters I'd want them for littlefee Luna works better I think if they did have wings I would have just joined a split to get them *sigh* oh well.

 

Uh... they are sooo cute but, where are their wings? Aren't they dragons? I love Taco too!

 

OMG I'm dead - I thought Taco was grey and thought that I would go with white skin...
BUT now he's BLUE! A blue snow dragon!
Oh no...I can't choose!!! Soom is murderous!
And yeah actually I prefer dragon tail than wings ^_^

 

Omg, they are too adorable! I think they look like Bygg as well, but I was so disappointed I didn't have the money when Bygg came out.

I love the little tail. I think they are sort of like the feathery asian dragons that don't have wings.

 

I had bygg. I don't think these are the same as him and I liked Bygg sculpt better. However, most the tiny heads look pretty similar with just minor adjustments. They're cute but not something I have to have. I like the sleepy head more than the OE head.

 

Dammit... why are they growing on me more and more as time passes.

I seriously am having to starve to pay off Haidi (which I managed) and Nepehlin (who I'll be paying off tomorrow I hope), and now these little ones are calling to me.
If all the stuff I had up in various places would just sell I'd be fine but, everyone worldwide is in the same boat! Everyone has to buy xmas presents and pay off layaways and so on, so no one is buying 2nd hand!

Want a little Taco. T_T
Trying to work out how much I can pass on... I know I don't need the shoes. The outfit seems potentially very boring.
The wig is just not the right colour for a blue skin doll, though normally I'd get it and use it on another doll if the chance came up but...
Problem lies with the blushing and faceups which I'm a SUCKER FOR, and which suck up all the money!

Urghhh curse you Soom!!

 

I like them. But I'm bit concerned about the snow blue skin. With Haidi it looked like a bluish white and with Taco it looks more grey skin than bluish white. Especially the head looks grey, while the feet and legs appear ice blue. I hope Soom will put some non photoshopped pics of the resin color online soon. Checked the Soom Shop Blog, there Haidi appears like in the promo pics. What do you think? Is it just face-up and blushing which makes Taco appear more grey than blue?

I love them! Even the little R. head with the droopy ears. This may be the first doll I have that'll use the R. head only (not the OE head). My only suggestion would be giving them wings instead of tails, since Nephelin had wings. But it's not a big deal.

The little fuzzy feet and sleepy transparent horns are too damned cute!

 

I rushed to the computer this morning to look, and I am in love! the R head is adorable and I'm loving the feet and tail. Soom may be making me broke this early in the year xD
