Soom July MD tiny: 'Keny & Silt – Little Shaman' discussion.

Wow didn't think that was normal skin, but comparing the skin tone to the skull, yeah that's normal skin. The resin looks much softer, I kind of wonder if they are doing a "real skin" sort of thing with this release. I love the soft cocoa baby myself, but can't wait to see pictures of both.

Btw does anyone know how many layaways you can have at Soom? >.> I thought I heard in passing 3 was the limit, but wasn't sure.

 

I believe the only doll to have 'sold out' before the end selling date was beryl. The dolls usually go to the end date of their selling period.

 

I am thinking Monday morning there is probably Sunday evening for me so I am going to keep checking the site later tonight. If they have hooves of some sort I am in, if its just normal human feet I will probably pass as I really want one with mythological parts.

 

They don't "Sell out", they're limited in time, not in number. They'll list the date it closes when they open it, and it's usually for the month, which is why they're Monthly Dolls. They sell for that period of time, once the time is up, they get all the orders and make exactly that amount. No overcasting means no spares to get rid of.

Depends on how much the doll is. I layawayed a Spinel and he could be broken into four payments, but when i layawayed my Appini, she was only allowed three, because she was cheaper. So these little guys will probably be three as well (depends on how much the fullset is- IF you get them fullset) You have to pay the 1/3-1/4 upfront.

 

Actually, I asked Soom if I could do a 4 month layaway on my Appini and they allowed it. If you ask in the Q&A board they will probably say it's okay, I did and they set up a schedule for me, I just had to manually submit the money and let them know and they would update the info page and such along the way.

But on topic. I LOVE these little guys! 3 that little skull helm ; u ; D'aw...finding a split for one is going to be a pain I think though, I might wind up snagging myself one of these little guys on layaway when they're released.

 

Soom is usually really good about letting you do extended layaways, also with allowing you to delay payments a little, all you have to do is post on the Q&A board about whatever you need, and they'll get back to you within a day or two. They want you to buy their stuff, so as long as it's a reasonable request, I'm sure they'll work with you!

I don't know if there's a limit on how many layaways you can do at once, but I'm doing three right now and nothing was said about it. One of mine is a 6 month layaway, too, I just paypal them the money directly every month.

 

Is there any idea when they'll be updating the website if they do it tonight? I have to go to bed early, but I'd love to see them before I went to bed. :<

What's funny is that I never even liked tinies until a feisty little Alk in the Marketplace caught my eye a week or so back... Now I'm thinking that my Alk needs a buddy, and that tan little boy is gonna have to come home to me, too. I'm *really* liking his sculpt and expression. (Not to mention that caramel skin!) He's gorgeous! I thought Chalco and Coquina were bleh, but the shaman concept thing just seems to jive better with these little ones.

 

Hahaha, I was tossing and turning between Iplehouse's new Tokyo Story Tedros and Silt, and Silt has won out. I am not sure how I am going to order him yet, if I'll open it up as a split or I'll not bother. I don't even care what sort of hooves he has. xD

 

I would have guessed these fellas would be released tonight sometime (knowing Soom, probably closer to 4 or 5am EST) but for Coquina they had a banner detailing her release date, so I was curious if they'd be doing that with these two, but perhaps now. Regardless, I will be up all night refresh-spamming until they are revealed.

Soom's fantasy releases are probably one of my favorite parts of the doll hobby. It's oh so terribly exciting!

 

Unfortunately, I want both IH Tedros AND Keny. :< I wish I had tons of money, but yeah. :/

It doesn't help that I need to get my car fixed. v_v The problem with that is car mechanics don't offer layaways.

And it's too bad the updates won't be until that late in the evening. :/ I can't stay up that late. Oh well. Maybe the updates will be available for when I wake up and get a lunch break at work.

 

And then there is part of me that goes, hey Erinna hey, what if you got twins? Both Keny and Silt? ? And then I have to kick my subconscious in the junk, because ahhhhh. ;___; I absolutely adore their little calm faces so much.

 

It makes me happy being on the Pacific Coast. I was like "4 or 5? I can't stay up that-- oh.. EST...*stays up*"

I'll also be lurking around, Soom seems to have an ability to release on days when I have Exams...they make my all nighters so much more pleasant.

 

It looks like TeaPartyRevolution and myself may very well have been Soomed by them as well, I like the tan, she likes the NS, and if you got one? (and I'm sure we're not the only Melbournians...) Imagine the little shaman circle at meets X3 *dies of cuteness*

 

I know what you mean...no full dolls sitting around because they were not all sold.
That part is true. Unfortunately with grey and definitely tan resin there will be a
certain number of parts that have to be discarded because of casting problems.

Anyhow.....I'll be up waiting for their release....I always look forward
to this kind of torture with Soom. Plus I'm hoping they answer my
problem in Q&A....
Darnit! I'm 11 questions away...they probably won't get to mine today.

 

Usually I open up Netflix and start chain-watching episodes of tv shows until Soom updates. Definitely helps pass the time!

That will be the CUTEST thing! All of them with their little skulls! xD I cannot wait for the reveal of these little critters now!

 

I feel a little bit ripped off, living right in the future ;w;
It's nearly 5pm Monday night, and it took me until this morning to realize that wait, everyone else's Monday is never my Monday.
I guess I'll just have to wait for a bit longer than >3>
