Resssistance is futile....you will be assimilated by these cuties! There goes my bonus that i'm not sure i'm getting *snort*

 

Problem is, my mom would murder me for getting another doll. Buuut oh well. I just can't resist that little skull, and the doll would be perfect for Logan! They're just sooooo cuuuute!

Eeeeeeh...I just realized I'm not getting paid for a couple of weeks, and by the time I have money after bills, I might not be able to get him. :< v_______v drat!

 

ruh rohhhh....uh, they're little, you can hide him under a stuffed animal! wahhhh i'll keep my fingers crossed that you can afford him...i'm putting him on layaway as i must pay the mortgage but i have to have the little tan one

 

Agree with the general opinion that it's NS...CW is really really
white, if you compare pics it's easy to tell. I doubt Soom went
and made hand parts magnetic...the seam is just where the
ball/wrist meets the hand. But yes we won't know unless Soom
says "magnetic parts". I can't believe I was almost swayed into
liking the NS baby by all the happy/hopeful comments!! *must resist*
But I'm not a NS fan..... it definitely looks like the chibi horns are
removable since there's a very obvious separation line.
I'm actually not sure I like their faces but it might just be the evil red
eyes and the dead-fish eyes throwing me off......Monday feels like an
eternity away to wait for full pictures. But I guess it doesn't matter
since I can't bring little Silt home!

hellsingmongrel if I understood you correctly you might not
have the money until their sale has ended? You can always ask
Soom if it's OK to order the doll but not send your first payment
until X date...I heard they've allowed it before. Just a thought.
Would be sad to miss out because of that!

 

It doesn't help that I remembered just now that Iplehouse is releasing that limited Tedros with the beard that I "HAVE TO HAAAAVE!!!"

Daaaarniiiit! Too many perfect-for-my-character Dolls being released at once, among others! I can't get ALL of them! TTATT

 

*tilts head* Hmm, looking at Coquina's NS pics, I'm sorta thinking that little one is NS too. Also, both Chalco and Coquina came in NS and tan, so it would make sense! Though you never know with Soom! And anyway, I am secretly hoping for NS so I won't have to choose between tan and white. ^_~

I am thrilled to bits by the apparent new joints on the body, too. But it's just the icing on the cake . . . I find my Hati very poseable already, despite the single joints. Which is kinda weird 'cause I am, as my sis puts it, a poseability snob. xD

until I got my Bygg and oddly enough I don't even notice
any problem, I think teenie gems are perfect! BUT I'm really
happy they made new joints...just wish I could get Silt.

Eh, she'd probably be the one to pick up the box when it came in the mail, anyway. Besides, I have no skills in keeping things I squee over to myself. :P The cheaper price is pretty much the reason I worked so hard to get my Deja. It was a lot easier to justify spending a little bit on her then a looooooooot on a big one.

And now I have to remember that Soom is going to be releasing possibly their LAST big MD boy next month, and I always told myself I'd get one big MD boy... WORST. TIMING. EVAR!

I have two big ole boys from soooooom...chalco and sard....eeeeeeeeeeeek and one big girl....cuprit...eeek eeeeek!

 

I still can't believe that I seem to be the only one who thinks absolutely nothing of these two! ^_^;;
From the second I saw them to even now, I was just left with this overall sensation of, "Oh. That's it?".
They're not bad by any means, they're just.. so.. nondescript?
Which I guess proves the theory I had a while back, that my idea of the perfect Soom doll is really different to almost everyone elses! After all, I thought that the best teeny they've released was Eliv and Iv as a full package sort of sense, while my favourite head has been Yrie/Alk. Eliv and Iv were definitely not popular, and I can't count the number of times people have said they were the WORST tiny rather than the best! ::laughs::

Saying all this.. I still like the face sculpts here. I stand by what I said originally, they do remind me of a sort of Glot/Glati mixed with Afi/Ai look, and it's very cute.
I'd consider getting one totally blank, then finding someone to dye it and paint it up in an absolutely insane way - have wanted to do this for a while, but I generally always get fully blushed and faceups dolls so it just never happens. Doing it at a time when Soom have released a doll where I find the execution poor is definitely the way to go!
Except... HUMAN EARS NOOOO. I'd have to get the ears modded first probably, THEN send everything off to someone else.
It seems like it would be a huge amount of money and trouble when I already have way too many tinies! ^_^;;
We shall see how I feel about them when they're released in full!

 

Gah, I'm really hoping that the other little one is WS so I am only tempted to order the tan. And yes, I really can't wait until next week for the full pictures (I'm dyyyyying here XD).

I'm also thinking that since the teaser isn't of a fantasy head that these two will only be coming with the one head. Which is good for me, really. Usually all Soom teasers are of the fantasy doll and not the human version. So I'm hoping that this is true and there's not another head for them and it's just hooves and the skull. I don't know what I'd do with another head for these guys anyway

 

There should be 2 more SG boys in the Pella storyline this year, worry not!

 

This is the last year they're doing their MD line. They're moving onto other things next year, and if my calculations are correct, next month's boy would be the last. Am I right?

Apparently they're going to keep doing limiteds. The Fairy Legend looks like what their next "MD" style doll line will be, so they're not getting rid of it altogether, just changing it up. Which might not be a bad thing, if they release boys in the line, too. I loooove the barbie-sized dolls, and would love to see a boy in that size, with all the same fantasy parts as their big boys, and not only because they would be super affordable. :3

Ooooh, thank goodness! That makes me feel a bit better, then. hehehe I was worried for a bit there! hahaha

 

I'm there with you on mom murdering me. @_@ I was going to stop getting more dolls, until I saw these guys. @_@ I hope the other one is NS though. than I wouldn't need a body for my OE AI. I'm aiming for the tan though

current Yo size skintones: 2 NS, 2 WS and 1 tan skin and Silt would make #2 even.

 

We've only had ONE super gem boy this year so far, Monko!
So there should be 3 x super gem girl, 3 x super gem boy, 6 x tiny releases.
Only one boy means we still have 2 left to go, worry not!

As for this 'last year they're doing the MD line' thing, a few people have asked but, has this ever been confirmed or is it just a DoA rumour?
I think it's very unlikely they'll stop MDs altogether. They have the Faery Legend line now, Remaining Story. The Pella storyline will end as it was supposed to, but I suspect something else will appear in it's place!

 

Eh, I've decided I won't ever "stop" getting dolls. I'll just take a lot longer to get the ones I really want over the years then some people might. Sometimes it shocks me, seeing people getting every MD ever released. I just boggle at the thought of being able to get them all. And I've mostly just learned to ignore my mom's grumpiness when she sees a new one. She likes them more then she lets on, anyway. :P I just know it'll cause a little craziness the next time a new one walks through the door.

And has it not been confirmed about the MD line ending? I hope so. That was just what I heard, and the way it sounded, it was pretty definite. I'd be overjoyed to be wrong! I was sad I couldn't get Monzo (He was my favorite big boy so far), he came out just days before I was fired from my last job, and I only got my old job back this week. I was so sad to think that I'd missed out on them altogether.

I just hope they don't release a theoretical winged-bird-boy (Galena's mate) before I can afford him. TTATT

As long as they continue releasing teenie gem MDs
I don't really mind any lack of SG ones. Not that I
really need to be continually tempted...but Soom
MDs are the thing's I look forward to the most in
my sad life

As for Keny & Silt my wanting Silt is more for the
fact that I really really need another tan body & I
love the skull mask. The dolls in general don't do
much for me. But I don't have a problem looking
at most dolls and seeing their potential beyond
what the company has done: face up/clothes etc.
IMO they both look VERY much like boy dolls.....
but again I only want another tan body so no big
deal to me.
