Soom June MD: 'Coquina- Eternal Destiny' discussion.

They look like pointed ears to me. Actually, they look alot like Galena's ears, which have a nice tip to them.

Hmmm. I really do love this girl. Her face is so sweet and I finally think those spidery hands work with the sculpt. However, I was hoping for something a little more innovative for her fantasy parts. It seems like Soom is saying "Wow those Sard/Beryl hooves sold like hotcakes let's make some more". Don't get me wrong, they're beautiful! And the 3-jointed system is love.

Also, what's up with the current face-up/blushing prices? Aphan's was through the roof. Now Coquina. $50 seems like way too much for that face-up (check out the headcap picture).

Edited to add: Can anybody tell if she's using the new MSG body or not? That outfit makes it hard to see.

 

I think that as it reads super gem human type body 68cm taller, is the older body...or the legend one whatever you wish to call ^^

 

Breccia seems so boring in face sculpt too,and when i see the first owners piccies came up i found her suddently soo beautuful..maybe same happens with coquina.

 

Would anyone know any company that would match the Bronze Tan Coquina comes with?
For hybrid-ideas.
I searched DOA, but came up blank on soom Tan resin matches....

 

I have to agree here. I'm still not sold on keeping this face forever, but the larger, 'staring right at the camera' shot has a lot more charm. Between that and knowing Soom's dolls have, in my experience, always been 100% nicer to me in hand than in their photos, I'm very curious about how she'll look in person.

 

IMO in NS resin color pics close-up she's better then in BZ resin color pics....

 

I guess that the Bronze Skin is quite new..so for resin matches you'll have to wait to see some Aphan.

 

aww wow this is a real let down...but i understand. I had no money for her anyway, but still the concept and idea of her is just an awkward female Chalco and she isn't that exciting. The tones are all somewhat off and are not as striking to me. SIGH ♥

and yeah,lol total bag lady dress..makes her look shorter and a little stumpy. They should really have included nude pics...there is still lots of hope for her though...I'd love to see owner pics, she will be really pretty non-default!

 

The MDs seem to be of a different tan than Soom's standard tan, and there have only been 2 tanned MDs recently that have reached owners, so it may be a bit early to find hybrids. Also, I think I heard that Afi tan was lighter than Chalco tan, but don't quote me on it. It's also possible that Aphan and Coquina are of a different shade than either of the previous two, because their skin colour is listed as bronze...

Randomly, though, I found that Chalco tan actually matched the old Dollshe tan skin very well. O_o

I have infact some doubt about Aphan,if he will be same skin tone as Chalco why he's listed as Bronze Skin?
So must be some differece in skin tone i guess.

Right... I will have to hope for a NS split to get the hooves, because I just can't afford her as a whole right now *bummer!*
And getting stuck with bronze tans hooves without being able to find a match is a no-go.

 

I guess that if you get some bronze hooves maybe a blushing could be easy to do,but is preferred to looking for the NS hooves.

Yes,i mean this,maybe blushing the lower parts of the thigh,so the difference in skin tone isn't so noticeable.

 

You know... that is a brilliant idea! that way, I won't have to blush the lower parts which chips when you look at it... just blush the rest of the leg a litte.... omg, brilliant!

There's a hybrid thread in the Picture Requests area. But as others have said, this year's tan seems to be different than last year's.

I also second the request for more body pictures. Or at least more pictures of the hooves. Does she have spurs? What about those hoof nubs Chalco had?

In either case she's growing on me. Already has a name and everything. Damnit Soom! It would've been easier to give you the codes to my bank account.

 

Maybe...coquina hooves will looks like the chrom legs or heliot hooves ,with a little snag just onto the special calf.

 

This is interesting in itself that we cannot see the hooves fully. Correct me if, I'm wrong, but I think there is only one full length photo with the hooves compared to Breccia who has at least 5 (or was it 7) shots of the whole of doll or focus of lower leg. They've not really made a 'showcase' of the hooves this time and I wonder why...? I quite like the look of them.

Seriously, she is my favourite Soom girl so far. I love her face, and just about everything else.
