Soom June MD: 'Coquina- Eternal Destiny' discussion.

The more I look at the picture, the more I think she will be some kind of reptile. I don't know if I would like that. Her face, however, has something very special. It's not the beautiful face we normallly see with the Soom Girls, but more youthfull and tomboyish and wise/intelligent. She isn't a stunning beauty like Beryl or Topaz, but still...she is very appealing, very different. I like that. I hope she comes with small breast and if she is thin.......I will certainly get her.

But I think she will have the normal supergem body. That body is beautiful, but not for this face.

 

First we get beautiful goat boys and then this?! She is so perfect, and I really hope she has a small bust like it seems in the pictures. But as for her parts... I already have an Amber, and I LOOOOVE her so, but she can't pose at ALL, like Chalco. So, if Coquina is Chalco's tom-boy daughter, I'll have to sell her parts. xD Because I -cannot- miss out on her face, no matter what.

You know, maybe she'll have a bust option for all those of you with opposing opinions on busts. ^^ I'd like to see everyone happy. Heh. As for me, I think she has a pretty face, but I'd rather see it on a male body. . . She makes a cute boy in my eyes. Can't wait for the release, though I won't be getting her. I'm going to put my Aphan on layaway very soon. Though I'm debating on face-ups. . .

Anyway, I'm betting that she is going to be aquatic. There's to much water photoshopped in there for her not to be. A mermaid tail and then human leg parts would be awesome! ^^

 

I love the way you phrased this. I completely agree! And yes, I hope she comes on the regular SG body. I could even understand sanding her breasts down. Her face is too youthful for big boobs.

 

I really do like her face - it's so different from the other girls, and has a softness to it that I love. She definitely feels like a relative of Chalco to me - I don't mean that I think she'll have hooves, necessarily, just that they have a sort of affinity between them. A fixation for wearing skulls on their heads for starters. I think you're possibly right about the significance of the photoshopped deeps, Azyntil, especially with the scaliness of her outfit. I'm guessing they would go with something other than the flower-feet this time though, maybe?

When I first saw her photos I thought that she had the new big breasted body because of the size of the gap between the cleavage, but at that angle it's hard to say and looking at her again I'm not so sure. I would love to see how somebody outside the hobby would react to the bust debate, though. X3

Also, the word 'conquina' is like the mineral that forms coral reefs and shells and such, right? Coquina So maybe its an aquatic theme?


LOL, going back a few pages, I realized other people said the same thing =) Anyways... I cant wait for her release =D

 

Curse you all for mentioning naga... an androgenous-looking SNAKE PERSON exactly fits the description of one of my characters. I like Coquina's face. It's different from the usual pouty SOOM female. I could never fall in love with Beryl or Cuprit because their lips just seemed so overwhelming. Her hands are gorgeous, and I've not lost hope for non-human ears. If she has human ears, I'll probably resist temptation.

Has anyone considered a more sea-serpent or water-dragon theme? The scales, the skull... and the longer, claw-like linnus hands could indicate something like that. If she has finny parts or (heaven forbid) snake parts, I am doomed. Or SOOMed. If she has a significant tail... I have been dreaming of a full segmented tail for larger dolls since I entered the hobby.

The more I look at the picture, the more I start liking her (and not just because I love her hands!) Although I do hope she doesn't have human ears... or big boobs- she doesn't look like the huge boobs type. And if she is, I do so hope they have the option for a smaller chest. ^^

 

I'm not a fan of this sculpt either. She looks a bit masculine or boyish to me. I thought she was a guy at first.

 

Am I the only one who thinks her face looks really feminine? Not the usual bombshell type of female, but really, really female nonetheless?

 

I think she is very beautiful . If I had the money I would get her on layaway. But she does also seem a bit alien. Not quit human looking, unlike the previous soom beauties.

I am not too sure yet of what to expect. I may be Soomed again since one of my characters has more of a tomboyish nature like that. We will see though, as only time will tell.

 

I think she's very female looking, just not in a super model way. I've honestly never seen a doll face I found as beautiful as this and the fact that I think she's a water theme...I am SO pained by her because I don't collect big dolls. Oh, it would be AMAZING if they had another water themed tiny!! I adore my Iv to no end and a different version of him would just blow me away, snake or fish or water sprite, whatever she is. I'm betting she's some sort of seaside creature, maybe a snake, maybe just a spirit. I am really not seeing her having hooves, but...we'll see! This is one MD I am stalking.

 

Does anyone else feel like she might be out tonight? Don't know why I do, but I can't stop refreshing!

I have this feeling that this release is either going to be the most amazing thing I've ever seen, or is going to disappoint me horribly!
Could really go either way, and either way is fine, because loving her means excitement and so on, disappointment means SAFE SAFE WALLET xD

I'm right there with you. I am really really hoping I'm pleasantly surprised. I've picked up all the SG size MDs since Heliot, and was hit or miss before that, without hesitation. She's the first one giving me pause, which is weird because I've really wanted a tan girl since I stupidly passed on the Deneb.

 

Well suddenly Soom's site is refusing to load for me. I refreshed as I had been and now it just won't load.
I am hoping this means they're uploading something. xD

Coquina is definitely an interesting one. It's not like how it was with Cuprit for me when I saw her and knew that was it, she was the one for me. Or Cass where I knew immediately she wasn't for me.
This is very much a HMMMM moment. xD

 

I'm completely with you on this one. I cannot wait to see which fantasy parts she comes with! midnite, I really hope your instincts are right about releasing her tonight/today. *refreshes*
