Soom Little Gem Monthly Mini Doll discussion (part 7)

Maybe most of you guys already know, but OG accessory works perfectly for 46 cm doll! Its hard to control myself don't buy everything in target when I found this out LOL

 

Haha, that's a mood! I always have to resist buying OG or My Life As stuff for my kids, I don't have the room for it! Your boy looks so cute on that scooter though, now I want one too!

 

Yes, when I put him on the scooter my mind was tell me yes this scooter is belong to him for no doubt, and now he had his first transportation! I love your doll's face up, and the skeleton hand is sick! I guess if you got the scooter is better to re-paint the color, the original color is too cute for him

 

It definitely suits him!

And thanks! My Niko is the first time I actually had the character fully designed before getting the doll, when I saw the skeleton hands, I knew that it would be perfect to shell him! SOOM really made such a cool set for this Erland release.

Honestly, character wise, he'd probably not care about the color, although his boyfriend would probably prefer black or purple if they decide to ride together. I do want to learn how to paint plastic properly though, I have a lovely kitchen set that's entirely too pink and shiny for my aesthetic.

Now, Rae, however, would totally rock the gold color.


I feel as though a trip to the Mart of Wals or the Bullseye Bin is in the future. Not tomorrow, unfortunately, since I've got appointments, but perhaps the weekend.

 

Soom is renewing the little gem bodies! I wonder what will be changed.

 

I hope they’ll add more double joints! That would be wonderful.

 

1. Very exciting about the new body renewal! I could definitely hope for a bit of improvement in the joints, I have to wire my kids to get them to pose properly. The neck also looks a bit more slender in the picture on the website!

2. Oh no, they're re-releasing Cheshire for the Christmas event, and one of the skintones is light violet. If that's the fantasy head, I'm in deep deep...trouble.

 

Since Soom has Grey & Ace available again, I thought this would be a good time to finally upload a photo of Eira (Soom Ace/Grey):

... I actually feel really, really tempted by the romance head they have right now, hahaha.

Aww, thank you! I have a bit of a weakness for characters with horns, love that fantasy aesthetic! I think 80% of the fantasy races I end up using or making for my characters end up having horns.

I realized that I hadn't posted a picture of Kristophe here since he had his face repainted, so here he is with Ashe. I need to get better photos of them, haven't been able to use daylight in a while.


I actually need to paint Simon's horns, I think I might make them gold. They just arrived today, so I hadn't gotten around to it yet.

 

Yes..! Agreed, I just love the fantasy-look that the horns have. Not to mention the fact that there are just so many different horns you can play around with depending on the type of character you want in terms of both species and personality. Can't wait to see how Simon looks with fully painted horns~

Haha, daylight..? What is this daylight you speak of..? (Canadian Winter = sun has set between 4-5 PM, and it's usually cloudy/snowing during the day anyway.)

 

True, true! I'll probably work on them later this week or during the weekend. Have a big presentation on Friday to prepare for too.

Haha, true true! I'm in the northeast US, so our days are ending pretty early too. At least we get a few sunny days, but it's been kinda a nasty week weather wise.

 

I’m wondering if any one is planning on getting Ace/ Grey from the release. I want to get Ace because I want a girl Fox in peony white.

 

Yup ! I've ordered a tawny Ace/Grey with the human body and both heads ! Can't wait.

On the topic of doll furniture, it's time for laundry! (Made a trip to Walmart today, found some laundry stuff!)

@xyuemoto Thanks! Siegfried is definitely one of my favorite fantasy boys, even if his horn keeps falling out. I definitely love this little laundry set too, I need to get some fake wallpaper to take pics.
