It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Soom MD April 2010: Monzo - 'Stone Heart'

Apr 19, 2010

    1. I love the fact that the wings and the arms have been designed to be placed on at the same time without having to choose one or the other, like Galena. The either/or on her sculpt just didn't quite do it for me. Many kudos on those bringing this gorgeous boy home!

    2. I've put in a question on the Q&A board about swapping SG and MSG fantasy parts, I'll let you know any reply. That winged body would be superb with Sphaler feet as a dragon boy!

    3. I LOVE HIM and those amazing muscles (though his human feet seem too small imo), but I'd have been happy with the old super gem body and just beefing that up a bit. Would have been enough for me. But I can't resist that face. I'll have to wait a bit I think to find me some funds cause I need the faceup, blushing and clothes for this meaty boy. Clothes are another issue so Soom better come up with a huge line of manly threads for him, including some suits. I want to stick this guy in a suit and tie and then stick a cute little pom-pom in his arms. Sexy bodyguard anyone?

    4. So would it be unreasonable to assume an Iplehouse EID head would fit on this body? I kind of like the idea of a gargoyle Luo.

    5. just bought the Greyskin blank doll!! whoohoo..he will be my 1st Soom MD boy..

    6. Monzo's neck circumference is 14cm and an EID is 13.5cm so maybe!

    7. Add DoD to the list as well. Angelheim might work, depending on the outfit. It would need to have no sleeves or pants, like this one. Ditto for Dollmore and its Model Doll robes.

Isn't there a "What fits EID boys" thread somewhere? If so I would reference that.

    8. This might be a really dum question, but does he come with a normal head? Like one without gargoyle ears?

    9. Congrats, Catdancer! Watch out, though - once he's finally in your hands he won't be your last. MD's are like resin crack. Mwa-ha-ha!!

(So Soomed it's not even funny...)

    10. Hey, Anistasiya - Nope, he just comes with one head, gargoyle ears and all.

    11. The resin match wouldn't be wonderful with an EID/MSG swap. Current Soom NS is more neutral beige and current IH is pinker. That could change at any time, of course. My 2008 IH NS and Soom NS were the opposite. I'd love a Tedros with Monzo's fantasy parts.

Wow. His neck is even larger than EID? Sorry Chalco!

He is beautiful as is. If I had more money. (Or fewer layaways. :sweat) I'd get a gray fullset just because he is awesome and a NS blank to play with hybridizing and mods.

    12. LOL. Yes! I was at my pet supply place recently... This woman had the teeniest little Pomeranian (5lb poof-ball dog) and I saw her hand him off to a huge guy who looked like a football player. So funny and cute. Also... it is the equivalent of making him hold your purse.

    13. ...*sighs* I hadn't ever really been SOOM'ed until now. I'd decided this certain character of mine was a Souldoll Chiron, but then Monzo came out and it was like: "*BOOM* That's him."

Forgive me for being the newbie here, but if I order him would he come with both the human feet and the gargoyle feet? Or would I have to buy them seperately?

ETA: I've never bought a doll before, bear with me. XD

I don't have the funds for him now, and I know sometimes SOOM does layaway. However, I don't see that as an option on Monzo currently. Does SOOM do layaways on MD's?

    14. Monzo's face is gorgeous, I fell in love with it in the second shot. I absolutely hate the ears, but they work really well with the gargoyle theme.

    15. He comes with all the resin fantasy parts shown and all human body parts for the base price.

    16. I wish they did two different back/chest pieces. Those darn shoulder bits just bother me (even with the plugs in). Oh well.

      -Anneke

    17. Well, that's that - I just made my first layaway payment for Mr. Monzo-Garbanzo... *off to join waiting room*

    18. Layaway shows up on the checkout page as an option, partway through checkout, not on the actual item page. I'm doing a layaway on him myself, so I can assure you, it can be done. :)

    19. Wow! I didn't realize how HUGE he is until I saw the measurements, yikes! I'm trying to imagine handling a doll that's about the size of an EID, but with posing like my sister's Heliot. Oh gosh, that sounds like my doll nightmare. :sweat And I agree, the ears are a bit of a disappointment, I like them a lot but they are too hard to hide if you don't like them!

But I really love his face. It's my favorite of the big boy MD's so far. ;_; I will have to consider him carefully but will probably pass. How I wish Soom paid as much attention to posability as they did to aesthetics! *sigh*

Congrats to y'all that are getting this handsome beast already! I look forward to seeing him in the galleries. ^^

    20. AHA! I knew I'd find it. :XD: Here's the "what fits EID boys" thread. I'd use that for any clothes questions you have.
