Soom MD April 2010: Monzo - 'Stone Heart'

What a face........

 

Certainly looks like resin bat-like wings. If he is a Super Gem then maybe like the Idealian the fantasy parts will be an option. Because I can't imagine resin wings like that being cheap.

 

Given that Galena came with giant heavy bird wings as well as her usual arms, I suspect that the bat wings won't be optional, even if there's a specially designed torso piece to hold them. I am hardcore EXCITED about batwings, I've been hoping for some and it looks like they delivered. Not the biggest grey resin fan, but I don't want another CW guy so I'll accept it. He does look mighty young, though.

 

He looks close to the character I have in mind but not quite it. I need a scrawny grey-skinned demon guy so he doesn't fit cos he's tall and macho. I'm really good at maneuvering myself away from Soom MD's. I'm still looking forward to the first time I really fall in love with one.

 

It may be the lighting they used to photograph him in that make him seem young. . . but I don't see the youthful baby fat in his cheeks that some of the others had. The dimple in his chin reminds me of the original Idealian face sculpt. Soom has done some pretty off-the-wall things, the Mad Hatter outfit in the Bi-weekly clothes was a prime example. So. . . who knows what they will do.

Speaking of clothes, I'm intrigued by the outfit. I wonder if there will be a kilt type thing like Chalco had. Chalco had an awesome costume until you got to the kilt. And what is the first thing you want to do when you see a kilt? Flip it up and check the undercarriage.

 

I just may be soomed again. We'll have to wait this one out and see. I sure hope not; I don't need another Limited in my family. >.<

 

OMG. Whyyyy? His face is gorgeous....but those horns
look like worms...not liking that. Hmm he has very
interesting ears though...can't wait to see them.

I'm going to take a leap and say he has a tail, like
Vesuvia.
edit: Ehh bat wings...ok I guess. I'll just take his head then.
But I hope those ears are just magnetic. And I agree his
outfit looks like it'll be awesome, but I'm sooooo tired and
bored with skirts for the male MDs...c'mon Soom...is that
ALL you can come up with? Hopefully it WON'T be another
skirt. Oh well that's enough chatter from me for another MD
I can't get lol.

Resin Wings.. this might be why his chest is different.

I think he might be a dragon. :B

 

Another dragon so soon though? If he has any form
of resin wings (which obviously won't be arm wings)
they'll likely attach in his back making splits a little
harder...(not that this bothers Soom) Oh crap, yeah
I DO SEE the "bat" wings now!!!! LOL

 

That must be why his chest is different.... Ohhhhh sweeettt resin nipples... O_O;;

I'm so scared... if he has gorgeous hunky thighs... >__> I am going to have a whole bunch of resin monster guys. ;D

 

You know, I hope they redesigned the male SG head cap like they did with Breccia's, I kind of think I'd like how this guy would look totally bald... >_>

 

They should release a girl exactly like this.. exactly like THIS.
But they never will. So I'm going to go cry into my work now. xD

That's pretty much all I can manage to say while being reminded that there's no way me or one of my friends can afford a SG monthly and that we'll have to let this one slip away too.

 

it looks as he have something different to me, too. maybe the chest as they did with breccia, for the wings.
this time they did a teaser very early, i wonder when he will be on sale.. maybe friday..

I wonder... If the wings are resin, will he only have the wings and human feet, instead of hooves or claws. It seems like a lot, to have both. Not that it's bad, it just seems like more than what Soom usually offers with their monthly dolls. Also, I really hate his sculpt name.

Anyone got a guess on ear shape? Are they round or pointed. I think that's what's sticking up behind his one horn, anyway.

Also... Has anyone ever seen "Legend." It's a really old Tom Cruise movie, with unicorns. Monzo's horns totally make me think of Tim Curry's character, Darkness. I would almost think that this guy is the Son of Darkness.

 

Oh good heavens, I might be SOOMed for sure. I love his face and those horns! Possibility of wings = awesome! If he has hooves, I'm a goner.

From monzonite, it's um, grey. I'm not a geologist so I can't bore you with the details.

I suspect his ears are pointed. They used to have a romantic or other optional head that came with the doll. The last few haven't though, so. . . maybe resin wings and talons wouldn't add too much to the price. Casting thin pieces can be difficult, so that might add to the price. It's a toss up, I guess.

But. . . if he comes in white with a tail. . . Hollow Ichigo!
