Soom MD April 2010: Monzo - 'Stone Heart'

Naw, they aren't hollowed-out besides the base enough to fit a magnet. I wouldn't worry too much about them falling off, the magnets soom gives you are srs biz

 

OK..well part of me is disappointed because I wanted a kitty boy...but another part of me is in love because he's a smexy gargoyle(I just can't doubt it) and that face..and those horns..and it really does look like he has wings. -_- I don't want to get soomed again..so I'm holding out until I see his full pictures..but I might be in trouble..serious..serious trouble..and my dolly plans..argh..they are going to be so ruined.

 

Total agreement here.
I was also thinking they need some sort of petticoat or something underneath, so we have that option. Have been on the market for awhile to find underskirts for teh soom girl skirts, but its getting rediculous.

Love those baggy pants too I have been tempted to order those first outfits for the pants, but it was just too expensive :-(

I hope that the horns are like four separate horns, but it looks like just one set of very odd horns. Cant wait for more pics. Am in love with the face sculpt already. Wonder if he'll have that cool headcap like breccia, like stone or something

 

Curious what sort of feet he will have. I already have two claw-footed dolls, but hooves seem unlikely if it's a gargoyle. Maybe a paw-like clawed foot would be ok, though. Just no more giant birdy-like feet, pleeeeeease. They're just too BIG.

 

Gargoyles was a great show. I really miss it too.
However, if it's a gargoyle-type god (as it seems to be eluding to), I'm betting on a claw or a hawk-like part for the feet. Or really nice clawed hands. Or both. I hope i don't get Soom'd this month!

 

I dunno, but I'm getting the feeling that he'll have claws, though I can't really explain that (Claws, however, are definitely not bad things! I might just have odd taste, but I likes me a pair of gigantic clawed feet). And wings? Oh my...Although the biggest thing that'll have me rolling on the floor in despair is the greyskin, why must greyskin be so beautiful?

 

I think too that he will have claw feet and it would not look that
gorgeous if he would have horse feet. >.< A Gargoyle has claw feet... *searching google*

 

Yeah, coming from someone who's seen them firsthand (the large antlers from an Amber) they use incredibly powerful magnets. Seriously, don't get the magnets stuck together, it'll be near impossible to get them apart without something already between the two. They have a little area inside the headcap where you put in some magnets, and then you put magnets in the slots in the horns, and the friction from the hair will keep the horns from sliding around.

I need more pictures of this horn. I'm really looking for some interesting horns for Lilith, but I was hoping for some really long ones.... Maybe I should shell out for this, and then try to get some Chalco horns, and combine them? Eh, but then I have to work with the magnets anyway. Maybe I should just commission some, or something.

 

Exactly! I think some stylized claws would be beautiful, hopefully very different from the Euclase and Sphaler claws though. It's interesting enough to see what they come up with. Although I wonder if they'll have a skintone option?

 

Hmmm, good question about the feet. I was thinking he's a demon, which means he'd probably have hooves. But if he's a gargoyle...perhaps something like Sphaler claws, but not as big? In either case I hope they've gone back to the 3-jointed system. The two-jointed dolls pose well, but nothing like those 3-jointed buggers.

I also second the magnet comments. I wouldn't worry about those horns slipping off his head. Not only are the magnets strong, but Soom usually has slots cut into the horns and heads for the magnets to sit. It'd be hard for the horns to slide around.

 

Nice, but not into gray resin, and I'm looking for a SD girl so this guy won't do.

I'm definitely soomed on this guy. He's perfect

 

If he is also available in non-grey skin...that face would win me over.

Is it just me, but while I love the guy, I can't stand the sculpt name 'Monzo'. Try saying it out loud and it just sounds odd.

 

He's gray and not having the paws! Thank you Soom! My wallet thanks you too because if he'd been a non gray cat boy I would have been in trouble! I so need a break from the wants on the monthly dolls. Now I just have to try and stay away from wanting parts like possibly those wings...

Oni, Onzo, Zoni, Zonite, Zon...there are plenty of other combinations Soom could have chosen I suppose. Monzo does sound...goofy lol.

Soom has done grey claws once, think they'll do again? My hope is they're grey hooves or even some new creation. He also does make me think of a gargoyle so maybe he will have lizzard-paw feet?

I cannot wait to see more of him. Its good to see a "darker" doll. I know some people were afraid that Soom had gone all cute and were getting away from the fantasy aspect.

 

What a handsome face! And it looks like his fantasy parts may be suited to a demonic character I have in mind, too. But unless he comes in normal skin, I'm safe! But I guess he'll probably come in either white or normal too . . . not sure which one I'm hoping for. xD
