I was bummed that he had no jackal feet and told myself I wouldn't buy him if he didn't come with them, and I have Monzo feet laying around too...You're a bad influence! lol XD Does anyone know if the Wig Option refers to the blond one or the one with the jackal head?

avacado -SD17 for the most part is a no go. I tried. ;_; They fit clothes closer to EID model size.

 

I'm wondering that also. It may be a part of the mask but it's not entirely clear. You can order two pairs of eyes, but only one wig, it seems -- it doesn't look like there is a 'two wigs' option. I'd guess that means it's part of the jackal mask, but you may want to ask to verify that.

 

The wig option is for the blonde wig. The Jackel wig comes with the outfit, it's a separate piece.

 

Hey... I wonder. Would the jackal head fit on some other type of body?

There's so much I really love about that full set but I have a full house at the moment..... but jackal head on... something else, I could sacrifice someone's head to a jackal if necessary Probably not.

Oh well.

His human face is simply lovely but I agree with whoever said it is getting a tad generic. Generic gorgeous, but generic.

Yes, this for me is it in a nutshell. I am getting more and more disappointed in the similarities between so many of the recent dolls. I think Hyperon is the only one of the big dolls who's been different. Pangen was different. But Shoshon/Gluino/Photon/Epidos facially/ and even the new Mecha Angel girl who is extremely similar, are all starting merge into one. Add to that the Special Order dolls following Onyx have been blonds and it's all getting a bit samey. Yes, we can make them brunettes and redheads ourselves, but you'd think Soom would make some effort to create variety in their sculpts or at the least the way they're presented. And I agree the Anubis head is a bit small looking but find the right doll for it and it could look great.

 

I don't care he is gorgeous, I was NOT expecting the nosebleed that I practically had on sight ¬_¬
Either way I have no money right now so I wont be getting him.

 

Owning a Gluino and an Epidos I must clear out, they are totally different from each other and have nothing in common, nor with my other Soom dolls. All I can see is that Soom has a lack of colors for their face-ups. Maybe that's why the dolls appear similar to some. They all- including the Special Orders- have a lot of brown color as face-up. But as I usually not buying a default face-up I don't care about it. But I wondered myself about the blond flash with the Special order dolls. Guess that is due to the Asian love for blonde hair ^^. The last big MD boy with dark hair had been Chalco a year ago. But well the last white skin MD boy had been Sphaler in 2009.... that's something I mourn more about *sigh*

 

thank god >.< i'm completely safe he's goodlooking but he comes nowhere near looking like any of my characters and i don't have any egyptian/gods in my group so thankfully i can pass on him without guilt ^-^

 

I definitely didn't order the blond wig with my Amber DoC. Gonna make her brunette instead. I think Ender would look good with her being a different skin tone and hair color. He's tempting.

 

He's gorgeoussss, I just wish he wasnt on that super buff body...I wonder if that head will fit on a gem body? How tall is a Super Gem? (searches soom site)

 

Branon was different, too. Not a typical Soom pretty boy.

I was hoping for someone ethnically Egyptian looking. This guy is gorgeous, but in a safe Soomy way. I'll need to see unpainted shots before I make a decision. I love the brown tan, though.

 

After seeing Soom's style I should have realized they'd come out with a head that worked PERFECTLY for an OC of mine, an OC I was never even planning on putting in doll form, and yet here I am considering it but that Mega gem body would just not work for me sadly. Boy am I crying inside. But yes he does kind of look like Gluino/Photons/Shoshon's love child. Who knew that would end up looking like my fav OC. xD

 

He's got such a gorgeous face, but that huge body I can't do. XD

 

It's not so much the height but the neck width you have to worry about. Mega gems have really big necks.

I'm safe from this guy. The face is a little too effeminate for that body IMO. And his costs are kinda high, especially the price of that outfit.

 

He's stupidly tempting in the tan. While the resemblance to Shoshon is very there -- I have to wonder how much is faceup and wig and how much is just their current style -- I ended up getting Shoshon in the NS rather than the tan. That would magnify the differences to some extent. *schemes and ponders*

 

I'm so getting him in NS. He does look a little like Shoshone, however the differences are substantial enough for me to want him too. His curved eyes, that slight tilt of his lips. Love him.

 

I got the same problem XD I love the full set, but only the jackal head would be great too. I'm afraid it won't working on other bodies except on Iplehouse EID body.
