Pfft. It's about time. February is over this Sunday.

She's cute, from what I can tell, but I'll have to see more of her face before I can say whether I love her or not. The ears are adorable, though.

 

Like a lot of ppl have said, if she's a rabbit or a bat, I'll be safe...but if she's a fox....man.... I'm Soom'ed and should't be 'cause I wasn't going to buy any more BJDs! my poor bank account.

 

ERGG I'm totally soomed.. I'm curious as to what those legs are... and if those ears are detachable D: -flails-

Good Morning all!

I'm having a laugh this morning cause, I remember back when Cuprit came out and we had no idea what Soom were doing for the coming year with their MDs, we had the EXACT SAME discussion about her size.
Loads of people were hoping she might be MSD sized and there was pretty much the exact same debate about how parts of her looked too dainty - I seem to remember people were talking about the beads in her hair and the proportion oto her head size etc etc.
Now here we are again, new year, new cycle, and we're back to debating sizes!
I do think it's because we all so desperately want to see something smaller than Super Gem size! Only a few people have the space and money to continuely buy these huge sizes. Some people of course don't even like them.
Soom releasing fantasy dolls in MSD size would open them up to a whole new market, and I know for a fact that people like me wouldn't have a point where I say NO MORE MSDs (like I've already said with Super Gems!!)

If she is actually Gem sized though, I might honestly consider it.. as long as she's a nice busty skinny not child like Gem! All the gems I've seemed seemed really chubby and childlike, and that's really just not my thing at all.
I have a Souldoll Double girl on layaway right now and she's only 55cm! That would be such a good size! Still a bit big, but much more manegable than Super Gem GIANTS!

Commenting on random things people have said here while I've been sleeping!
I also really like the fact that this face sculpt seems to go back to the way they were doing faces in 2008.
I have not liked a single SG female face since Cuprit (who I adored and bought!), but I liked every single female face from 2008 (with the exception of Deneb just because she's too big and mature).
The last however many female faces have just been lacking in something.. In fact, out of ALL the supergems released last year, I actually really disliked 3 of them!
Now here we have Breccia who does seem a LOT like the 2008 way of doing faces, and I have hope that they're going to go back to this style.... with some fantasy resin please xD

The faceup, I still feel is WAY too neutral.. if they'd just made the lips and eyes a bit darker, but the same overall style, it would still be neutral, but have so much more impact.
But such is the way of Soom faceups I suppose.
The lips are at least really nice though.. I'm glad they didn't go for the usual really pale tiny lips.
I'm also really glad she doesn't have a GIANT NOSE! Yay for smaller noses!
I'm sure the reason I haven't liked most of the Super Gems from last year were their HUGE NOSES.

Oh no oh no. I was planning on absolutely not spending another dollar on dolls until I go to Japan this summer. And then SHE pops up. I'm almost praying she's not nearly as beautiful in person. But oh, what a gorgeous face!!! Yep, I'm screwed.

 

At the moment I'm definitely contemplating the possibility of getting everything she has except the body.
I've always been so obsessed with fullsets, which I still am, but with Ai and Afi the only way I was able to afford them both was to NOT get fullsets. I had to split off Ai's heads, Afi's clothes etc etc.
Now I think that, as I already have a beautifully sanded and blushed Super Gem here, I could quite easily have multiple characters who shared the same body, should I want to. If I'm doing my maths right too, it would mean that the Super Gem MDs would cost me around the same amount as the teeny gem MDs usually do.

It all rests on what her fantasy parts are, and what that outfit looks like!
I already now I really like the face though!

 

The ears are dead cute, but the face is ok, can pass easily (thank goodness) but would love to see if a tiny follows on next month with those ears and probably would be tempted >_<'

 

Oh man I hope they make Tinies to go with her as I am sooooo soomed if they do. T_T I like her but I've never had a desire for a SD sized girl so I dunno. Depends on what the rest of her looks like.

 

I seriously adore her....I soooo dont have the money for her right now tho....sadness ..... ill just haveta hope that someone will put her up In the mp....I cant believe how much I love her from just seeing this one photo......

 

Ugh Soom, whyyyy? She's super cute. I love her eyes. It would be neat if they gave her female Chrom paws and a fluffy tail!

PS- Is it weird that Breccia is a type of rock? Quote from wikipedia: "Breccia is a rock composed of angular fragments of minerals or rocks in a matrix (cementing material), that may be similar or different in composition to the fragments."

 

All of the large MD's have had rock names.
The first set were semiprecious stones the second were metals and alloys.

@ Akasora- well what do you know! Haha, I never really noticed! I don't wear much jewelry, but now I should, just so I would know things like that LOL.

 

She's not for me, but I'm glad to see Soom finally giving their girls some colored wigs. I was kind of disappointed with all of the ultra-lite blonde Super Gem females they've been putting out. Cass...Cuprit...Amber..even Galena's wig seemed pale to me. It's good to see some colorful wigs for the girls.

I'm interested to see what size she is. It would be nice to see Soom add some Gem-sized MDs to their collection, but I am guessing that since the super Gems are so proven, that's what they'll stick to.

 

I think what's lacking in the Super Gem female's faces is feminity. Most of them look like men.

And she probably is big- but we can dream right?

 

Ahaha I just worked it out.. that is what would make her perfect, if that wig was blonde!

Something was wrong with her and I couldn't quite put my finger on it.. not sure why I didn't realize this earlier when I was talking about how I don't like brown wigs and prefer blonde ones. ::laughs::
But yeah, I just find brown so dull. I always wondered why they made Glot brown haired, and as soon as I got her, I got a different wig for her cause the brown was just urghh.

So yes, if Breccia had a blonde wig in the exact same style, I think she'd be much more beautiful whilst sticking with Soom's overal neutral natural vibe. It would match the blue eyes much better too.
Of course for me, I suspect I'd want to put her in a brightly coloured wig like red or blue or something, depending on the colour of her blushing and clothes.

But I think everyone here already knows my complete hatred for all things brown so, I'll shut up now xDDD

 

For some reason when I saw the pictures of her I thought she was a Mini-Gem. Something about the skinnyness of the arms just says little one to me. I dunno, I am probably way off, and while I like her face, I am none too fussed about the fantasy parts. Might end up having to split this one.
