So has anyone put a picture of her up next to a Topaz picture also? The only difference I am seeing is her eyes are a little larger them Topaz's. I'm still in love, and am getting excited that Soom is going back to beautiful, feminine faces. The only MD big girl of last year I love is my Cuprit (though I have gone back and forth on trying to get a Cass). Yay for return to classic Soomness
I have to agree with beautifully.tragic, I hope she's a SG. Otherwise she won't fit my Amber, and I'm already almost positive I want Breccia's fantasy parts for her... It'll be perfect for the goddess of the earth...
LOL! Soombies. It is quite the siren call, isn't it? Even if she is a Super Gem - as she likely will be - I will STILL be tempted to get her and continue the hunt for a smaller body. I am trying to resist the pull though, the last 2 MD's I bought I had terrible luck with (Galena = size fail & Afi = leg posability fail) She really does look a lot like Topaz, I agree. And she and Cuprit, along with Breccia, are my favorite Soom girls. They're just so pretty without looking childlike. *sighs*
She does look quite a lot like topaz! The noses look different to me though. I'd have to see the rest of the pictures to really judge o_x
I see a bit of Vesuvia in the lips. They aren't quite Ves-puffy, but a little pouty all the same. Mostly Topaz though. Soombies! .hlp
Topaz/Vesuvia lovechild? Oh man, Soom, not again! I'm really hoping that she's Gem size, but I seriously doubt it. SGs are a bit big for me, but this girl is too gorgeous to resist.
Yep, I thought Topaz from the start (which is what I adore about her cause how I love Topaz and wish I had one!).. I also think she's the most beautiful female sculpt Soom have released since Cuprit. I still find it weird that I loved pretty much ever girl they released in 2008, and if I could have Topaz, Beryl and Vesuvia right now I WOULD.. Oh and Onyx head on a fullset Galena.. yesssss. What was I saying? Oh yes.. I loved pretty much every girl in 2008, then there was Cuprit and I DIED and brought home a size I said I NEVER WOULD.. since then it's just been not my thing at all. Breccia seems like I'm not going to be able to get away with at least getting her head! Kind of hoping the fantasy parts are going to be not my thing so I can just get the HEAD.. but I already know I want those blushed hands so.. urghh xD
Yep I think we did. Something about a databast connection error... I agree though, I saw a lot of Topaz in her face, and when I had the first looks I had to do a bit of a double take. Why SoOm do you have to do this? Edit: oh its back x_x
I had the error message too But the site seems to have come back up. I told myself no more. not for for some time. but, I just love her. So far that is. I think she would look great in a blonde wig but I really like the brown...it makes it feel playful to me where I think the blonde might feel more graceful. XD If she's amazing as I think she is...I might have to sell off my Galena when she gets here to afford Breccia... we'll see >.<
I think that's definitely part of it. The brown is more playful, blonde would be more graceful. I'm all about the graceful and that's what I really like about her. I find her SO graceful in the same way Topaz was. Dammit I need to STOP staring at her picture right now. Ok that's it, I'm going for lunch xD

Topaz's chin/face is definitely more pointed. And the bridge of Breccia's nose "looks" like it's broader. To me her mouth looks more like Sard/Dia's!!
Hmm, she doesn't remind me AT ALL of Cass because, I'll be 100% honest, I really didn't like Cass. I loved her body, all those fantasy parts and the blushing.. still waiting for her human dress to come through in a split too... just not her head. Overall I think what makes me think of Topaz when I see Breccia is rather than individual features, it's the overall vibe she's giving off. Soom hasn't done very many serene gentle types (Cass was serene but in a much more mature way), and her colouring and everything just make me think of Topaz. I'm just really happy they've gone back to the smaller nose, bigger lips thing they used to do so often. I just much prefer that style... which could mean I'm totally Soomed this year if they keep this up!!! I'd love for her to be an MSD so much.. but this is the same debate we had with Cuprit. People so desperately wanted her to be MSD that they tried to see that size where there was just another Super Gem. It's a shame Soom doesn't listen to our hopes every year and actually RELEASE MSDS!!!! I assumed from the start she was Super Gem.. and started crying. ::laughs:: Edit :: Uhh.. the more I look at her the more I think I might not be able to say no to her. THIS IS SO VERY BAD. I may have to join MagicBunny and start hyperventilating.
Actually her chin reminds me of Cass too. Her eyes not that much. If I am going to get this girl (and I probably will), I will do a more heavier and sexier face-up I think. To make her appear less sweet. I did the same with my cass and she looked so different than the original soom promo pictures. I like to make dolls totally different from promo pictures. As for the release of this girl, I think it'll be Friday.
Your Cass is one of the only ones I've liked actually! I really did not like her on Soom's site, and when I saw her in the store I actually shuddered! But then I saw your pictures and went HEY, this sculpt can be really beautiful after all! So I'd definitely love to see your take on this girl! I'm sure it would be amazing! I too would rather have a much heavier and sexier faceup on this girl, but I just love the way Soom do their faceups (even if I find them too netural and natural) so I know I'd HAVE to get the faceup on her. I just like having Soom's vision way too much I think! That's part of why I love limiteds, because I love to have this work of art in my home.
