[Soom MD/March] Shonki & Appini Bestia Animo!

I like the little white, but are not the best from Soom I think.

 

Regardless if it's cat, fox or otherwise, the look is general enough for me to make adjustments just need to see feeeeet XD cause I'm liking everything else so far.

I'm sure she's CW, cause there's just no pink to her skintone and it'll go with the yin/yang thing it looks like it's doing.

Aww, I hope you get lucky and find a set somehow, you never know, cause people can change tastes or something comes up (like this X.x lol)

I'm pretty sure it'll be some sort of neutral type of body etc. because of the unique resin colors involved. I've noticed they did a literal girl/boy when "both" versions are the same resin color, but when there's two resin colors they keep it general. It would make sense and be the smart thing. Unless they want to offer the gender option for each resin color. Of course, won't know for sure, I've seen plenty of times some doll companies don't make the common sense choice for their options X.x;;

 

I totally don't have the money to get one of these critters unless I get lucky on the secondhand market anyway, but there's something about them that has me sitting around checking the soom page like the rest of you. x_x;

I even wish they'd just fill in the price, before releasing all the pictures- at least then we'd be able to plan out our budgets. >3<

 

I actually like these characteristics more than the hooves and whatnot.

magnastorm: I'm the same way and I just ordered a head that was going to be my second doll (not for awhile, until I could get a body), but I promised myself ONE tiny and that it was going to be a SOOM MD and the little black one is just perfect, I am SO torn :/

 

I actually agree with you there. In my opinion these are the weakest tinies Soom has released so far overall, just from looking at the teaser picture.
This might change when full pics come out though, but still, right now this is just how I feel.
If it weren't for the black resin, I wouldn't be nearly as excited.
The white one is cute but.. that's it? If that makes any sense?
Hoping the full pics will surprise me though!

 

I've been up (black resin) and I've been down (chubby faces). But I'm reserving judgement now, I don't want to force myself into want, because really, that way lies frustration. Of course Soom could be Korean for Frustration, LOL!

That's it with me exactly. I know I can't say no to the black resin. I just CAN'T.
So I think it's going to come down to whether I can tell myself it's ok not to get a fullset and just get her completely blank, then deal with what to do with her when she gets here!
As I've said before.. maybe they can be made to look less chubby with a more mature faceup? The black one especially is going to be so BIZARRE that I doubt it will look childlike!

I have not learned the Korean word for frustration yet, but now I have to find out! xD
And god dammit, since I'm learning Korean now and this will be my first possible dolly purchase since I started, I'll have to give black baby a Korean name won't I? Hmmm!

 

Personally I have to admit that their chubby cheeks are what I am loving about them! I am a total sucker for cute little pouty lips and pudgy cheeks. XD

 

Its been kind of frustrating waiting, especialy because we have so little to go on, and ALOT rides on what I'll see when they pictures comes up. (although yes its normal for soom, the last time i was this interested was when glot/glati came out!

ithe more i wait the more i debate it, if they are like hati/skol there will be very few on the second hand market, but i don't know if i can go for one now =/ and who KNOWS what soom will come out with later this year.

Hmm, I agree, they do seem a little . . . bland? . . . so far. But I love super cute things so I don't really care. xD I kinda like the look of the outfits, I'm hoping one of them will suit Buffy.

I can't wait to see their feet! But I'm pretty much sold on them. I'm interested to see how/if the structure of their paws differs from Hati & Skoll's . . . personally, I'm hoping that they are very similar! My Hati stands amazingly well, and is so stable. With those big feet and no unusual leg sculpt to throw off her balance, its no wonder!

Can't wait to see them tommorow morning! *crosses fingers*

 

Thanks! I should be alright if these new little guys have the look I'm hoping for ^_^. I always like the release of new tinies though, it makes the marketplace so busy with older MD's xD.

I was hoping to come home tonight to pictures and split threads, etc, but all I find is nothing . I hope they post new pictures or start the order period sometime tonight/ tomorrow morning. I'd likely die if we had to wait until Monday....

I'm already stressed and having dreams about the tinies and making hybrid tinies >_<.

 

Tra la laaa come on Soooom. I know I'm not expecting anything til this evening, but I've been up since 4am .. it's now 1pm... and I have been F5ing on and off the entire time.
I'm really ready for some pics now!!! Maybe I should just nap. Mmm.. nap. xD

 

I can't help but imagine the soom company hampster must be getting pretty tired about now XD what with all of our f5ing.

 

I don't find them bland at all.

But maybe I just like simpler designs, as these are the first Soomlings to capture me.

I find most of Soom's tinies a little too simple as it is and I usually have to tweak them here and there to make it work!
So to go even simpler with this ones is a bit urghh for me. xD

I think it's likely that Soom are trying to appeal to a whole new crowd of people this year though.
They probably realize that those who were avid Soom followers last year are now broke and drowning in Soom dolls. They might be unlikely to spend as much cash as they did before.
So it makes logical business sense to try and appeal to a new group of people who haven't spent all their money on Soom yet xD
Sadly for me, they went the more natural way rather than the more intense - not that Soom doesn't have enough of my money as it is mind you xD

I'm with you Ellanie. These are the first of anything that Soom has ever released where I would seriously consider sending money their way. I guess I am fond of simplicity as well.

 

I think you are probably right. If it's a new audience that they are after, it's worked for me!

But, the year is still young! It's only the second month in this year, so we don't know what'll be next. If these two sell badly, and another set cut from the same more naturalized mold don't catch on, then they'll probably move on to the next thing or go back to what was working for them before.

 

They're cute, but I'm finding myself going "get the black resin one" just because
it's black resin, they're just sort of ehhh imo right now. Will wait for full pics
till I judge them but I'm wondering if Breccia & these are a sign of the direction
Soom MDs are going in for the year...cutesy/pretty...kinda safe(?) I really hope
they release an MD that is just an absolute WOW this year. So I don't regret
missing out on Chalco even more. Hope they release in a few hours/Friday!!!!
