[Soom MD/March] Shonki & Appini Bestia Animo!

I think they are two.. Fox? They are? I think are the babies from Breccia or not? But If are 2 fox I'm sad.. I expected much more from the Soom.. But if at the end I don't like this dolls, I think that are not a bad thing for my money box!! XD

 

So here's a thought... what will you all do if they actually DO turn out to be smaller?
This is such a typical Soom discussion room thing.. a new doll gets released at the beginning of a new year ad we all assume it's a new size. Everyone thought Cuprit was an MSD, she was a supergem again.. there was a lot of speculation a year later than Breccia was a MSD, she was of course a super gem.. again.
Now we have these little kitty/fox/things and we're back to debating if they're a new size when it might just be the photograph and the more childlike sculpt.

If, however, it is NOT just our imagination and they ARE smaller, how many people will be put off?
How many people will be happier?
How many people will be glad for the smaller price tag, but not when you consider that splits and such will be pretty impossible for the time being?

 

I agree about wishing Soom would have an earless head, not a fan of cat/fox AND
human ears...but maybe the closed eye head doesn't have them...?
It would seem logical since the romantic heads have usually been the animal type,
it just sort of ruins the illusion of them being creatures with potato ears sticking out
And NO I won't remove ears from a black resin doll. i still think they should have made
the black tiny the central doll in the teaser....isn't that the main attraction?
Why have it off in the background and all blurry, I can barely see it so my eyes
keep going to the CW tiny. To me the point of the teaser should be "WHAT are they?"
not what does it look like....and since they're already hiding I don't see
the point. With such short ordering periods I think they should have allowed us
to get somewhat attached to the more $$ one. Oh well, just my opinion

In response to your question midnite I might be more likely to get them
if they are a smaller/new size. Especially if there's a chance that they might not be a
regular option (like Breccias new bust) plus I really like dolls that are smaller than
teenie gem/yosd size.
Well GNA, hopefully I/we will wake up to a full release XD

I actually hope they are Lati/PKF size. I'm interested in the black resin regardless of size.

 

It will make little difference to me whether they are Teenie Gem or a new smaller size.

If they are smaller, as long as it's a size close to other lines, like PukiFee, I wouldn't mind it. I can't sew, and one thing I've noticed is that I've leaned toward getting a MD since SOOM makes amazing clothes for them outside of the fullsets. If SOOM treats them to accessories and items, then it won't make a difference.

 

I'll be happy either way, size wise.

I must admit though, it would be adorable to see a smaller size out from Soom.

 

No they aren't up yet. It's likely just the traffic of all the refreshers....

 

To answer my own question, smaller size is good for me because smaller price tag, and they take up less space, and I'm already DROWNING in yosd size (at home right now I have 8, and another 1 on the way). So a smaller size would be different (I only have one smaller doll, a bisou ai).

HOWEVER, none of my dolls are children. I don't really like child dolls as I don't have children characters.
The issue with much smaller dolls is that they stop being able to be adults in any shape or form. I LOVE my little bisou ai because she's a limited fairy with all this dark makeup and bruised blushing.. she doesn't come off as a child to me.
Most other small dolls however DO, and I think Soom, if these ARE smaller, are clearly going for the chubby younger look which just isn't my thing.

Them being smaller won't put me off buying them if I like them.
I'm just not sure I want to consider the idea of ALL the tinies this year being that small, as overall I do prefer the current teeny size!

 

I don't know how many Yo-SDs I want either. I already have 4 Soom tinies; would love to have another size, but one that also "fitted in" with the teenie Gems. Puki-size or similar would be just perfect! If they were really that size then I would definitely be in, but as it is, assuming they're teenies... er, I could give or take.

 

See if they were Puki-size, I think I would get ONE and only one.
It would be SO much fun to have a Puki I could just throw in my bag and take places with me. As it is my dolls are 100% indoor dolls who are never in sunlight EVER. I'm just way too careful with them.
A puki though is so small and more afforable, I think I'd have one just for the novelty!
But I don't like the size enough to get hundreds.. at least I think. xD

 

I've been wary of getting a smaller doll because I wasn't sure how I would feel about it once it arrived. I do not mind the child like face of these two, but when I look at dolls that can fit in someones palm I just go...wow holy cow that's small. I don't even really look at the doll itself. I don't think I could go for these two if they were much smaller than teenie gems. But who knows maybe I'll end up being one of those people who get one puki sized doll and they multiply into many many more. I tend to have an addictive personality that way lol.

So for my two cents, and in a round about kinda way I hope they are just Tennie Gem sized

 

I don't know about PUKI PUKI sized, I've become kinda disenchanted with my puki's at the moment. now if we are talking PukiFEE thats a WHOLE different ballgame.
I want a 16cm dolly like crazy. I miss even my 21cm cherishdoll despite his posing problems, now that i mention it a Bijou Ai CD Faith sized MD would be intersting too!

 

They definitely aren't puki sized. The smallest I imagine they could be is Lati Yellow SP
or pukifee size. But I really don't get the feeling they are anything other than teenie gems.

 

Yeah they are very most likely teenie gems.. but dammit we need something to keep us busy while we wait xD
I've been refreshing for 10 and a half hours now.. solid... ohh I need a nap but I keep thinking they'll release them while I'm asleep, even though I know they won't come out for a few more hours yet!

Tra la laaaa. I think the good thing is that even if they're not my thing, I won't be disappointed.
For whatever reason, I'm EXPECTING to be a little disappointed. So they can only surprise me!! ^_^

 

I would actually be super happy if they were even tinier. Depending on how her lips look I will be getting the little white one to be the 'family cat' XD so an even tinier size would look even better!

 

Yeah, you're a Soom MD diehard!!! I'm actually pretty shocked I'm still up
waiting since I'm not sure I like them....but I hate missing out on the first
reactions when the full pics go up....that's the most fun to me. WR chatter not so
much.

But... I like the look of that little white wig... would love to be able to swap that onto my Ai. Hmm... which do I want more?...

 

I'm staying up as late as I can stand it... I've got tomorrow off and Pokemon SoulSilver to keep me going. :P

And anyway, last night I dreamed the dolls were Puki Puki sized and cost $700, and people were furious. I don't fancy another SOOM dreaming session. :P
