Ok at this point I think I'm totally going to end up with a fullset Yrie, as originally planned! xD I still really don't like the feet. They're such a huge disappointment, I can't even beleive it! I just keep looking back at them screaming NOOO! It's funny cause the other day someone suggested they were going to do super deformed feet and I said NOOO THAT WOULD BE AWFUL NOOO.. then Soom went and did it and it was bad. x_x However the wing arms are growing on me. I still don't like them from certain angles, but I think that just means I have to never take photos from THAT angle! xD I still think I prefer her with her normal human arms, but I'm not 100% ready to get rid of the wings either. So I think I'll just get the full doll, then when she arrives, I can play around with her. By that point in time I'll have a Glot, Eliv and Bygg so I can do some parts mixing and matching with the WS ones. If I end up liking Yrie better in hooves, I'll search for some Soom blushed Beyla hooves! (which I may do anyway!)
that's what i was thinking..... using some hooves.... i think a winged-hooved doll would be ever so cute. given the taloned feet parts they have done so far, these chicken feet are pretty much what i expected. they are awkward looking, but they might work.
Since no one seems to be reading the WR yet, can anyone here help me? Every time I try to make my first payment through Paypal using the automated system, I get problems. Going straight from the 'Order', I get to Paypal, and then get told there is 'no item in my shopping cart' (I've been logged out of Soom's site) THEN, when I try to make payments using the 1-2-3 layaway buttons on the order status page, I get this stupid Engrish error when I try to finalise my payment through Paypal - "You have to Click the 'payment' buttom to payment completed throug paypal." Nothing has changed on my paypal account (no payments taken), and my order status is still saying I've paid $0.00. Can ANYONE help me work out what's going on? If not, I'm going to have to send Soom a payment the old-fashioned way, and send them an angry message through Q&A about how crappy their new automated system is.
i don't know about paying by layaway, but when i paid for my Alk, i went through the paypal process.... and on the last step.... i was redirected to Soom, and got the pop up window that said.... "click the payment button" (or whatever it says) so i clicked payment and it went through just fine. all the information is there on the order, including "paid" as opposed to "receipt of credit payment".... if that makes sense?
I get redirected either to a page with only a background and nothing else OR (if I use a completely different browser) a page that looks like my order page, but without any buttons on it. I guess it's just a glitch. I shall ask my boyfriend whether I can borrow his laptop and see if that helps (maybe Soom just hates Linux uses for some reason ) Thanks for the info, Miss Ally!

I paid my first layaway payment with paypal and everything happened like Miss Ally said but instead of the blank page I saw a review of my order and a confirmation of my first payment at the bottom.
After much pondering,I think I'll still get her though I'd like to see some piccus IRL first.Prolly decide what to do with the spare parts later.
OMG, I'm gone.... I even want the outfit, but I can't afford that. Unless my DoC body and dress sells, this little one will slip through my fingers O_O Why did Soom have to take away my 6 month layaways? ;_; I only have 1 specific day to decide if I want to get one, because the payday after is for my unicorn twins. I'm semi-tempted to ask to transfer payment to one of these XD (like I could give up my Bygg and Beyla). Uhhh.... anyone want to buy me one and then I can pay you back in a 6 month layaway? >_> (I'm kidding, of course) Maybe I'll just find a split for the head, eyes, and animal parts. I'm glad I won't have this trouble for the next babies if I want them, not with the Christmas money I'll get ^^

I wrote a little story a few nights ago, and Yrie would be perfect for the little girl, both birdie and human versions. She'd be one of my little goddesses. I want her ;-; The sculpt is super sweet, and while the bird arms baffle me a little, they are growing on me. The sculpting is amazing there, and the cute chibi feet are the cutest things ever too! I just need to work a few things out. I can't very well jump up and spent 400$+ without talking that over with my mom, since we have to figure out how we're paying for my gradschool next semester XD;
Exactly! Hooves and wings seem like they could go really well together! Plus Soom keeps going with very similar colour schemes with their girls. Glot, Beyla (debatably a boy) and now Yrie all have WS and that very natural brown faceup. Seems like if you wanted to stick with fault parts, they'd all interchange pretty well. I'm currently KICKING myself for not getting Beyla. Then I'd already have the blushed hooves and could have done something else with her!

Worked out my problem - apparently the Soom automated system gets cranky if your paypal email doesn't match up to your Soom email But now I'm officially 1/3 of the way towards wings and claws. I'll have to start sketching out my plans for my WINGED PSYCHO KITTY (mwahahaha). I think the only way to get proper tension if I back-mount these wings will be to string them through to opposite arms (left hand connects to right wingtip, and vice-versa)... hrmmm *plots*
I am totally in love with the little image of them together walking... at the very head of the photo strip. That alone makes me happy... aaaand makes me want my own little winged lovely. (must... hold... out... for... Earth...) I think they look like little (cute) harpies.... which is truly something new and most certainly wonderful. As a design I think the both of them are absolutely perfect.
