I had no idea what an Alkonost was either, but it turns out to be rather interesting stuff. I thought the mythology would be more threatening, as most mythological composites tend to be kind of scary/deadly (lamia; sirens; harpies; et cetera), but it seems pretty clement -- not that I really know much about it. Did you know they were linked to Kingfishers? Kingfisher plumage is amazing -- lots of promise for the artists around here! My little Yrie is going to be a hybrid too! The current plan is to stick her head on the complete Ai body, and POSSIBLY add the wings too - I really want to add the wings, but I don't know how well the blushing is going to match just yet as I have the Soom blushing on everything. We'll see!
