1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Soom [MD/Sep] Epidos - Flame Sword discussion.

Aug 30, 2010

    1. The longest layaway I've ever gotten was 6 months (currently in progress), but unsure if anyone has ever gotten one longer than that? You just leave a Q&A message and ask about it, they were really nice about it and said it was no problem, you just send your payments manually via PayPal instead of through the website.

    2. Thanks Rottedgirl, that leaves me (and others) some hope.:sweat
Still with the risk of being endebted for life by Soom... It's back to the Soomed and doomed...

    3. Wow, I'm so strangely on the fence on this. I don't really feel a centaur longing now that I've worked my way through my Chiron wants, I don't have a lot of room, and $$$ versus my plans for the rest of the year...hmm. I'm admiting to being intrigued about the face and the resin choices, I could visualize WS, GS, tan or even their black resin marched out again, although anything that makes the $$$ worse is to be avoided, obviously. ^ ^

      .hlp

    4. This is actually the first Soom doll this year to interest me. Too bad I'm not one for bigger dolls! (or maybe that's a good thing lol!) But a Tiny/MSD Centaur would just be awesome!! I'm curious too see what those who can afford him, do with him! <3

    5. I think he looks absolutely amazing so far, but like many others I neither have the money or the need for a big centaur guy. A baby centaur however would make it home so fast it would be scary.

I wonder if this guy is going to have a human option too?

    6. Oh, I can't wait to see all of him. Won't buy him....between my Glot, Bygg, Beyla, and Chalco I feel my desire for hooves has been satisfied, but I will look forward to seeing all kinds of pictures of him, promo and owner.

    7. Wow. What an amazing piece of art.

I am safe, though... as my house does not offer room for a large doll like him.

But oh goodness, if Soom releases adorable centaur tinies (or even minis).... I will be very tempted.

I can't wait to see more promo pics and what future owners will do with him.

    8. Wow, I think I might want a tiny version of that! >w<

    9. Well, there's one bit of good news: Soom is releasing this guy far enough in advance that I'm not in the middle of saving up for Christmas presents.

I'll most certainly be stalking Soom's page for the next few days. I've been secretly wishing some company would release a centaur for ages! (Souldoll's version didn't do it for me.) If he's as glorious as I'm hoping he'll be I'll make room for him on the shelf.

And Soom centaur babies would be beyond cute.

    10. Hooolllly Crap! I really hope I don't like his face... Because the joints on that horse body just look amazing and I want a big hoofy doll. Maybe they'll have an option like Souldoll's where you can choose to order only one type of lower half - either horse or human.

    11. O_O Can you imagine if he came in White skin AND Ebony. ♥
--- A girl can dream, right? XD

    12. ...oh this would happen on a broke month. Here's hoping for a longish order period.

Edit: I may have to grovel for a six payment layaway on him also, if they are willing. Thankfully, I have a solid history with them of paying things off on time and most often quite early, so hopefully that will be a help.

    13. The centaur in full adult form would be too big for me... my limit really is Bishonen House... bigger is just asking for a backache LOL and man I can even think how I would trot this along for a meet-up >.< YIKES!

but a tiny version... THAT I would have have a hard time saying no to.. especially if it can with a unicorn horn: I would be DEAD! and would squee around like a little girl.

    14. Wow. And I thought I promised myself that I wouldn't get into any more layaways this year. >___>'

Okay, anybody needs a kidney? lol

He really seems to be amazing! I needed a centaur, but excluded it from my wishlist because I wasn't so sure about Souldosll's Chiron... and now Soom's come to break me again. Heck. O.o'
I can't wait to see more picture of this guy! I bet the fullset will be breathtaking. ><

    15. I've never been a huuuuge soom fan, but I must say that this teaser has totally captured my attention >_<
I'm hoping for a beautiful centaur girl, actually no, I hope they won't because i seriously have no more money to spend :...(

    16. I'm pining for a centaur girl also -- just... hopefully several months from now, not soon.

    17. Though I'm not partial to Centaurs, the horse body looks pretty amazing. And I do have to agree that there has been some demand for a Soom centaur in some of their dolls' comments sections. (Or that might have been something else....Maybe I'm just not remembering correctly). As for the price, I can't imagine it would be any higher than a grand. I mean, if they released something that pricey they wouldn't sell many because of the price and how short their ordering period often is.

On a side note, does it look like he's double jointed or something similar? I don't know why but it really looks like at least the joint at the top of the leg might be.

    18. Oh man, this one will be seriously pricey with all that extensive engineering/stringng. I am feeling glad that I am not a horsey person, and have no interest in a Centaur.

    19. Depending on how they do the upper body you might be able to sub out the human male torso for a female one. I was thinking it'd be awesome if they let you choose between a male and female centaur. However, I'm guessing that means they'd have to re-sculpt the horse's chest.

I also second dragonofl5. Where the legs connect to the body looks double jointed.

Anybody else hoping he'll go on sale on Wednesday, instead of their usual Friday?

    20. expectingly !!!!!!!!I may have to get it regardless
