1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Soom Mecha Angel 80cm

Feb 22, 2007

    1. I love the head, and I really wish I could get it seperately. The body just freaks me out a bit, since it is so skinny. The neck measurement provided seems to match my 70cm DZ body and I would like to try a hybrid. I am gonna wait for owners pictures though. If I do ever order him (if they ever do a second round ;)) I think the body would make for an excellent Zombie mod.

:sigh: I wish I could just get the head. I spent way to much this month when I bought my grey elf...

    2. FunnyLori: Lol. I wish I could just get the body :( I spent way too much this month when I bought my grey elf too.

    3. Blackpaperbag: If he wasn't allready sold out, and we both weren't broke ;) I'd suggest splitting him up. :)

I guess we'll just have to wait and see if they release him again later.

    4. I'm in the UK. And I'm bringing him to the nest of butterflies cosplay picninc hopefully. And I may bring him to amecon, fuyucon and alcon.

    5. well my original plan was just for the blank doll... but my fingers rebelled against me and just clicked the items into my cart anyway :o

I'm in the UK, but I havent been to any meets yet :sweat they always seem to fall through at the last moment for me

anyone who happens to frequent meadowhall may well see me running about with him though

    6. I ordered the wig, paid for it (but not for the shipping), wrote them an email mentioning both order numbers and asked them to please combine the wig order with my Sabik order. They said it was ok.^^ Or what did you mean?:sweat

Yay, Stefan, that makes two Sabiks on DollCe then... they'll rule the board from their lofty heights^^
      Mandagore a.k.a. Niamh~

    7. Thank you! For some reason, I could not type that sentence last night...

    8. If you pay by paypal, you can just place another order and in the comments box ask to have it combined with order no <first order>. When you got to paypal, just pay for the boots without the shipping. This works becuase the shopping cart is not linked to paypal, so you can send them any amount you wish.

    9. I am totally in shock. I just paid for the rest of my Soom Sabik purchase and added seam sanding. Within 15 minutes, I got confirmation that both purchases had been paid for. I went onto the website and they've altered my orders to show payment confirmed. I can't believe how quick and efficient they are, especially when they must be run off their feet processing 50 orders.

    10. You can have the seams sanded??? I didn't see that, dang it :| :doh

    11. Neither did I. Hopefully the semas wont be too visable.

    12. You have to look under face-up. It costs $75 (Dollmore 70cm are $65, and 60cm BJDs are often $50 so it's reasonable) and I was able to add it afterwards. If you look on the Q&A I posted a question about adding the seams to my order and didn't lock the thread. Soom's reply is there. When I added it separately, they charged shipping, but I ignored that when I paid and they marked both invoices as paid regardless. The link to the seam removal is here:

If you want it, I'd ask them for it. They're really helpful and respond quickly. It's still daytime in Korea.

    13. Hobbysue: I didnt find your thread about adding seams.

I'd like to get seams too but $75... how visible are the seams?

[edit] I dont want to risk it.. I'll add the seam options in. Thanks for the information!!! :D

    14. I just cancelled my order, there is one more sabik left and one more sabik pair of pants at the moment because I cancelled it. I just decided to wait on him. :) Cannot wait until I see your sabik pictures.

    15. Well, unfortunatley I cant afford to get this wonderful doll right now, so a few minutes after I make this post there'd probably be one more doll available. I dont think it'll be that fast. I cant wait to see some pictures off all those Sabiks!!!

    16. double post, sry.

EDIT: Wow, that makes two of us. lol

    17. aquarius85 - I don't know how visible the seams are, but I started off with elfdoll that have no seams whatsoever. I find I prefer the look so for me it's worth the money to have them sanded. I also bought a Happydoll Dorothy fullset who had horrible ridges that were so noticeable I could have cut my finger on them. I was really disgusted because she was a fullset, but other Happydolls I've seen haven't been as bad. I hate pulling the dolls apart and restringing and I usually blush them assembled. I consider Sabik is a great price for the size so I'm happy to get him sanded.

      Here's the response from Soom

Thank you for your question. you can find "removing seams and sanding" here:

      http://www.dollsoom.com/shop/step1.php?number=2252

if you would like to add this item, please make payment $75 and fill out paypal request wth your order number.

      have a great day!

    20. thanks, Hobbysue - I would have missed the sanding option, and I was having dire thoughts of sanding Sabik's endless 80cm limbs....^^

I only saw it today, though, and purchased the option some minutes ago. I hope it will still be alright, as shipping was scheduled from 21st of March onwards... my Sabik order is labelled as "before shipping" now....!
